Champions League Threads - Vote for new format!

A suggestion was made today with regards to the Champions League threads and the way in which they are structured. The suggestion was whether or not having individual match threads was a good idea from the group stages onwards.

Suggestion: Make one forum thread for each match' date=' that would make it a lot easier to navigate and follow bets and discussions on each match.[/quote'] We'd like to pose the question on the open forum so that everyone can have a say. The choices are simple - keep it as is. Have individual match threads set up for each game. Or have one thread for each group. All opinions are welcome, we'll see what response we get and change accordingly. Depending on the outcome of the discussion. Poll will be left up for a week or so :ok

Re: Champions League Threads Thoughts: 'Individual Match Threads' - far too many games for this to work well I think especially later in the groups where a lot of the games are meaningless. Group threads COULD work, but I think a lot of people focus on the games coming up rather than which group they are in (for example this week people will be focussing on Real v Man City, Chelsea v Juventus etc). So it's either group threads or keep it the same for me. Not sure if group threads would work, so I voted for keeping things as they are. If we DID change to group threads, I think it would be a good idea to the names of the teams in the thread title. For example: Group A (Dinamo Zagreb, Dynamo Kiev, PSG, Porto) So people could see where the teams are without having to work out 'which group are Barcelona in' before posting.

Re: Champions League Threads Group threads for me - at least for a trial period so we can see how things go. Personally, I think individual match threads would be overkill, particularly when the dead games start to pile up later in the group stages.
