Turkey > Super Lig > 2012-13

Recommended Posts

There is no Turkish League topic so i started one. Turkish League Week 1 Elazigspor - Fenerbahce (18.08.2012 20:45) Elazigspor is one of the newcomers. They brought experienced players in the market like Fabio Bilica, Orhan Ak, Vanja Ivesa, Julien Faubert and Gökhan Emreciksin. I think they could stay in Super Lig. But right now i dont think they have perfect harmony hence they lost to second league team Den Bosch 4-0. Fenerbahce played average friendlies. Eliminated rising Romanian team Vaslui in CL Elimination. And played Turkish Super Cup final with Galatasaray and lost 2-3. Fenerbahce never played perfect in these games but they improved each game. Fenerbahce lost Emre Belözoğlu and Issiar Dia but brought Milos Krasic, Egemen Korkmaz, Mehmet Topal and Dirk Kuyt. Kuyt scored 3 goals in 3 official games. Also Sow who is also brough in last mid season scored 1 goal and in form. Fenerbahce maestro Alex is also in form scoring 1 goal and 2 assists. Their gk Volkan and attacking full back Gokhan Gonul is injured. Second goalkeepers Mert Günok is also national team's second goalkeeper so it is ok. Gökhan's absance is important but his replacement is equally good at defending so it is ok too. This match will be played in Izmir city which is closer to Istanbul. Izmir is a beautiful city everybody loves to go there especially in summer. So i expect a crowded stadium full of Fenerbahce fans. All in all Fenerbahce have better squad and more fit team. Also they will play like its home game. I expect a Fenerbahce win. Good luck to all. Fenerbahçe @ 1.55 Betsson 8/10

Re: Turkey > Super Lig > 2012-13 There is no Home Win in Turkey *Super Liga so far! So I think it will be in 2 last meetings today. Genclerbirligi v Antalyaspor Genclerbirligi is a home team, in last season +9=6-2 at home, and have beat Antalyaspor with 3-0 score. Guests are weak, especially on away (+3=3-11 last season) Genclerbirligi @ 1.95 Galatasaray v Kasimpasa Home team will smash the outsider – no doubt! 3-0 Galatasaray -1 goal @ 2.15 *or*To Win To Nil Galatasaray @ 2.15

Re: Turkey > Super Lig > 2012-13 Kasimpasa - Karabukspor Pick: Over 2.5 Result: Pending Stake: 3/10 Odds: 1.91 Bookmaker: 188bet In transfer season Kasimpasa made good transfers. Djalma and Uche is especially very fast and good in attacks. The team generally think offencive play. In Galatasaray match on away, they didn't think defencive football. It is very important for an Anatolian team. They are brave. Kasimpasa can make fast counter attacks. They are close to a win but in the beggining of the season I am afraid to bet on home win because Karabukspor also struggle hard. They have also above the average players for Turkish league. Both team can score and we can see a over 2.5 game.

Re: Turkey > Super Lig > 2012-13 Akhisar Belediye - Genclerbirligi Pick: Over 2.25 Result: Pending Stake: 6/10 Odds: 1.93 Bookmaker: PINNACLE Akhisar team has fast and talented strikers such as Bikoko and Bruno. They can score any team and Genclerbirligi's squad is also offensive. I like the over odds a lot for this match. I expekt to see an open game. Genclerbirligi is not a team that wants to get 1point . They will want 3 point more. We shouldn't see a defencive game from them. Therefore, my bet is over 2.25 for this competition.

Re: Turkey > Super Lig > 2012-13 I believe today Genclerbirligi will take all 3 points from Akhisar. They have shown some glimpses of their flowing attacking football in their opening game against Antalyaspor, which they won 3-1 with the goals they score in last 10 mins. Akhisar on the other hand, came as a suprise winner at Eskisehir, thanks to the out of form forwards of Eskisehir. Akhisar is a newccomer to this league and it is never easy in here. They have a good team spirit but at this stage, especially at home, they need to give good attacking displays not only sit back and defend. I believe overall, Genclerbirligi have enough quality and experience to beat Akhisar. GENCLERBIRLIGI WIN

Re: Turkey > Super Lig > 2012-13 Besiktas - Galatasary Pick: Galatasary Result: Pending Stake: 8/10 Odds: 2.22 Bookmaker: PINNACLE This is great bet. Besiktas has lost the team. They play with young and unexperienced players. Almeida will be missed this match because of the injury. Queresma is out of the squad. Fernandes is best player of the team but it will be wrong to expekt from him best performans. On the other side Galatasaray is the best team this year far far away. They should be guarantee the championship at 5-6 week before the league ends at least this year. This is really great odd to bet.

Re: Turkey > Super Lig > 2012-13 Trabzon - Elazigspor Pick: Elazigspor (+1.25) Result: Pending Stake: 5/10 Odds: 1.61 Bookmaker: PINNACLE Trabzonspor's attack power became really low. Especially in Videaton match I realized that It is a must to transfer a good striker. With Halil Altintop and Henrique their job is really difficult. Elazigspor made good transfers. Herve Tum and Faubert strenghten the attack power. Herve Tum is storng and he knows the Turkish Leage well. If Elazıg struggle like Fenerbahce match Trabzon's win is very difficult. Also, Trabzonspor has a europe leauge match 3 days later.

Re: Turkey > Super Lig > 2012-13 Galatasaray V Bursaspor Galatasaray to win at 1.54 Betfair Good value price in my opinion reason being Bursaspor have just played extra time in Holland against Twente and gone out of the europa league. Bursaspor gave everything tonight. This loss is a major blow for them for 2 reasons. firstly they will be compleatly knackered and demoralised for sundays game against a great team like Galatasaray. Secondly it is now likely that a number of signings they had lined up such as Macheda from Man United on loan may not happen now that there will be no European football. Difficult to see anything other than a Galatasaray win with the quality players they have and seems likely Bursaspor may be forced to rest some of the players that have just played 120 minutes against Twente or otherwise field a tired side.
Galatasary - Bursa Pick: Galatasary Result: PENDING

Stake: 10 Odds: 1.53 Bookmaker: Bet365 gevshek.blogabet.com Galatasaray is the best Turkish team atm. I rate Bursaspor as the third best team in Turkey. But in this match Bursaspor will be very tired and demoralized after 1-4 Twente game. They lost it in extra time with 10 men. Galatasaray picked easy group in CL the mood in team is good also Fenerbahçe eliminated from CL which mean club get double money from CL. Normally this match is one of the hardest matches for Galatasaray but two teams are at different peaks in terms of morale.
Kayseri - Akhisar Belediye Pick: Under 2.5 Result: PENDING

Stake: 8 Odds: 1.65 Bookmaker: Interwetten gevshek.blogabet.com Kayseri didnt score in the last 2 games and Akhisar didnt conceded one and also scored one goal. Akhisar's only goal was very lucky they have no experience in Super League so they struggle to score and try to not concede especially in the away games. On the other hand, Kayseri trying to play positive football but can not manage to score suprisingly their defence is not good but Aksihar does not posses real thread. I expect Kayseri to win narrowly like 1-0. Good luck.
Bursa - Karabukspor 16/09/2012 Pick: Bursa Result: PENDING

Stake: 10 Odds: 1.72 Bookmaker: BWIN gevshek.blogabet.com Right now Bursaspor is playing perfect. They lost to GS but they didn't deserve it. They were tired and demoralized but played good with that mood. International game break just the perfect opportunity to Bursa rest and gain some morale. At home they have fantastic crowd which pushes them. They crushed Twente 3-1 in the last weeks. They signed Tuncay Sanli (today) and Fernando Belluschi (last week). Their squad is getting bigger and better. Karabuk got one point after 3 games. Normally they are stronger at home and other teams don't like to go there. But first 2 home games they didnt play well. They got beaten well by Besiktas last week. They concede very easy, clearly they are not in form atm. I don't think Karabuk can stop Bursaspor in front of their fans. Good luck.

Re: Turkey > Super Lig > 2012-13 Fenerbahçe - Trabzon Fenerbahçe played ok against OM. Last 20 mins OM dominated cause team tried to park the bus but could not. Fener was up 2-0 until 83rd min this loss was very demotivating for team and supporters. Fenerbahce fans are known for their lack of patience. They blame Kocaman for this draw but in reality its Fenerbahce's weak point for years. They can not protect lead against good teams. I would not bet Fenerbahce this week unless its a big game. And yet here is the big game for fans and team. They can make up that awful draw and I dont think they will skip it especially against weakest big team in Turkey. I think Trabzonspor is the most overrated team in Turkey. I think they can not finish in top 5. They have very avarage squad nothing special only their GK Onur is a perfect goalkeeper thats all. These two teams have brutal rivalry past two years. Its true to say they literally two club hate each other. This match is almost as big as Galatasaray match in the recent years. All in all Fener playing better and have better squad. At home they never lost a league game with Kocaman. And Kocaman needs to gain fans support again he must win this game. Re: Turkey > Super Lig > 2012-13 Elazigspor v Bursaspor AW 1.97 8/10 This game will be played in Ankara instead of Elazig's home ground because their stadium is not ready yet. Actually, this one might be considered as a home game for Bursaspor as they have many fans in Ankara due to their fellowship with Ankaragucu

Re: Turkey > Super Lig > 2012-13 Kasimpasa SK v Fenerbahçe SK It is a little bit early however I think 2.03 very valuable for Fenerbahce against Kasımpasa whose Coach was sacked without any proper explanation to public. To understand sudden expelling of Kasimpasa Coach Metin Diyadin one has to consider that football is not just a simple game in Turkey. It's far beyond sport. It's more about politics. I guess Kasimpasa administrative board members wanted to bring a guy who can be more easily controlled and/or whose political view shows parallelism with theirs. Anyways, it doesn't matter which team Fenerbahce faces, 2.03 is extreme. Krasic, Kuyt, Sow are ready to play, we don't have any suspended and injured players (till now). Fener doesn't start League and Europe competition very well however I believe time will work for our adventage and Kocaman's game plans will reflect on the pitch. By the way Kasimpasa is a team from Istanbul which means that Fener, in practice, is not gonna play an away game. Fans, who suffer 5 games ban, are much willing to see and support their team in taksim. Prediction: Fenerbahce wins @2.00 (Sportingbet)

Re: Turkey > Super Lig > 2012-13 Ordusport - Galatasaray over 2,5 @ 1.8 Sportingbet (first post, so not sure how it works with linking, if it's done automatically or not) Galatasaray all 5 games have been over, Ordusport last home game was a 3-2, Stancu should be trying very hard to score against his former team.

Re: Turkey > Super Lig > 2012-13 Orduspor-Galatasaray 2 of the 3 teams without defat yet are facing. Orduspor second season under management of Hector Cuper, going well, 2 wins (both at home) and 3 draws, but struggling to create chances and find the net recently. Galatasaray is picking up where they left off last year, did not concede in last 3. Last week they easiliy passed newly promoted Akhisar Belediye but this time it seems to be a though game, moreover on Tuesday they will play an important game against Braga in the CL. This will effect their motivation IMHO. Both teams have no serious missing as I know, only Gosso is out of squad in Orduspor since the beginnig of the season. There is a problem between him and Hector Cuper as the news suggests. Orduspor has good attacking players like David Barral, Hasan Kabze and Bogdan Stancu by the way. So my picks are; both teams to score(7/10) and Orduspor or draw (5/10) I do not give odds because I bet from a local bookie which offers low odds.

Stancu did score, unfortunately it ended 2-0 for Ordusport. Congrats to heretic for his second pick

Re: Turkey > Super Lig > 2012-13 Some tips or point of view about 4 well-known soccer teams form Turkey. 1- Galatasaray SK: On paper best team in Turkey Super League. Even called as "Dream Team" which is absolutely ridicilous term. Their strong hand is attacking. Usually first 15-20 minutes they are like bees. put pressure on rival team's defence and mid field players to steal ball and get easy score. If rival team pass trough from this period then chances become equal. Coz first of all they cant play 90 mins like this in terms of condition and pyshical shape of few players. Strikers are Burak YILMAZ and Umut Bulut. Sometimes Elmander may count as a striker but not good at finishing. Actually he is distributor of last ball or assist. Not happened much yet though. Burak cant cross a well organised defense players easily and score. Typical counter-attack player. Needs free areas to run. Finishing not so good either. He maybe a top goal scorer of the last year but never ever forget this. Trabzonspor's all midfielders worked for him last year. He scored 0ver 30 goals but rest of the team didnt score more than few. Umut is better than Burak. He is also a good runner but not so good crossing. He is good at goals by header. Selçuk Inan is key midfielder of the team. Strikers know well him and they can play together in harmony most of the time. Melo more of a defesive mid fielder. Not at good shape right now. Cant handle tough games. Wingers are weak areas of the team. Aydin Yilmaz and Emre Colak arenot ideal wingers.Aydın isnot so much talented. He misses alot of shots. Emre is not experienced also. Amrabat is a talented winger but mostly not self aware. If he loses a ball he causes counter attack. Mostly we may call selfish of him. Defence should be examine as a whole. Not so good either but in national league few teams can exploit their weaknesses. In Europe you see how they struggle. Goal keeper is amazing this year. But defense needs his leadership. At last this team doesnt usually change their tactics . Coz not capable of turning ball around to create chances. If rival team waits for them in their half field as Orduspor did last weekend and dont let them steal the ball then mostly they will be able to score by counter attack. This weekend they will play against Eskisehirspor. Eskisehir is mediocre team. But their coach has attacking mentality. This sometimes coz problems against better teams. They have made 3W and 3L. No draws. And I dont think this game will be a draw. But I can predict a lot of goals coz of Galatasaray's bad start to Champions league they have to compansate it with home win. Both teams will find chances to score. The next team is Fenerbahce. weaknesses alot but their fame helps them alot. Coz they dont easily lose at home ground. Fans are huge boost for them and sometimes referees .On the other hand at away games they usually suck against mediocre teams. Head coach isnot a talented one. Even you can see in game easily. He cant change tactics while game is on. A lot of passing but nothing occcurs. Bee without honey as we may call. They have alot of defensive players who dont know how to play with ball. cant create long passes or direct passes or run passes. Kuyt ,new transfer , seems to be really helpful but cant find help.Sow another striker not as he was in Lille. As I mentioned before turkish super league isnot pyhsically hard nor fast. So some foreigner loses their abilities by time. Mehmet Topal isnot the guy as we saw in Valencia. Wingers have pace but scoring or assists not yet seen. Christian seems to be better than others. But He was punished by management in terms of money. Club has problems right not.Head Coach didnot resign and well know best midfielder Alex was punished by being moved to second team. The president of the club was found guilty by our courts on match fixing but the file is in court of appeal. And after being released he totally wanted to take control of the team again. If it isnot hursh we may call head coach as " puppet" . This duo decided to get rid of Alex. We havent seen the consequences of this decision yet. Team's motivation isnot good I suppose. Team fans loved Alex. Even made his statue few weeks ago. Supporters believes head coach responsible from team and any players must not question head coach. But dilemna is they also dont think head coach is capable of doing better work. At least no sign for brighter future. For instance if he substitutes a defense player he puts another one in the same position .So game never changes for good. No tactic changes. Besiktas and Borussia M.Gladbach games will finalise head coach's place in team. Defense isnot good Gokhan Gonul one of few good ones but he has minor injuries. So right now not so sure bet to back Fenerbahce Next team Besiktas. Uefa financially penalised this team and not let them play in Europa League for one year. If they dont reshape their financial situation they will face one more year oout of Europe matches. Whole team looks up to Fernandes. He shapes the attacks. Team is younger but inexperienced. They are fighting on field but by their ownselves. Not in harmony. Team cant afford new players coz of UEFA regulations. Almeida nad Batuhan Karadeniz are few strikers who arenot in good shape. Sometimes young midfield show sparks of good play but those moments are few. They deserved win against Galatasaray which scored few own goals. It ended 3-3 . This score kept Besiktas alive. If they lost ,nowadays would have been so dangerous for them. Right now they play for title so to speak. They lost by ridicilous goal last weekend. But important thing is they couldnt equalise. Not having good play makers and striker their disadvantage. My opinion is this team will show different faces every week. I mean if they play good this weekend that will not mean next week they will be good. Keep in mind. This weekend they will face another troubled team Fenerbahce. So important for both of them. Fenerbahce has homefield advantage. If those troubles doesnt reflect on field (Fenerbahce side) draw will be good bet. Both to score will be another choice . Besiktas has new goal keeper. didnt look good. Last team is Trabzonspor. Actually my opinion is this team is better than those 3. But not having ideal eleven coz of injuries nad absence of goal scorer push them back in title race. They scored 5 and conceeded 3 yet in 6 games. Last year every member of the team worked hard for Burak YILMAZ former striker they forgot how to score by team work :) New players were very wellcomed to defense part of the team. Bamba and Emerson. SO they dont conceed so many goals. But striker position is still on question. Janko is tall guy but not yet ideal. He may need more time and new game play . Head coach is clever one. Maybe not perfect but his substitutions and game tactic changes the shape of the game. Sometimes it works sometimes not. But at least he has affect on team. If this team find its striker then we will see better title racer. I have hopes about this team. But president of the team is funny. I am afraid he may create problems and head coach will lose motivation with team together. This is a brief look of 4 teams. We have other good teams as Bursaspor. They have one champions title. Stable team. May cause problems ine every game against those 4 teams. Keep in mind. Especially on homefield. This year Kasimpasaspor made a surprise by holding 2nd position ,if I amnt wrong. They found new boardmembers. Financially well supported. But interestingly they sacked head coach . And found new one. They beat Fenerbahce last weekend. They will play against Trabzonspor this weekend on away field. Not easy to guess match result but it wont be like last weekend. Kasımpasa wont be able to find way to stop Trabzonspor. Coz last year main striker was locked and trabzonspor couldnt find way to score. Now few players have chances to score so every game different starting eleven may help Trabzonspor. So small-medium stakes on backing Trabzonspor will be logical.

Re: Turkey > Super Lig > 2012-13 Well as far as Trabzon and Kasimpasa are concerned the value should lie with the guests, judging on what these teams have shown so far. I know Trabzon is the bigger team but names don't win matches, they usually just put a dent in your bank roll. Kasimpasa have no fresh absences, Coulibaly is out but he only played 53 minutes this season. Trabzon still without regular keeper Zengin and center back Kacar while another center back Yumlu is a doubt tonight. Kasimpasa (+0.75 AH) 1.76@Pinny
