Re: MLB: July 31st 2012 Picks Nationals to beat Phillies 1.73 @ Betfair - I fancy Washington to carry on their good form tonight when they host the Phillies. The Nationals are coming into this game off the back of two series wins on the road at the Mets and Brewers. The Nationals are a huge 16.5 games ahead of the Phillies and Washington's Stephen Strasburg has an ERA of 2.76 this season with a record of 11-4. Phillies Cliff Lee has an ERA of 3.95 this season with a record of 1-6. Phillies come into this game after being swept 3-0 by Atlanta where they scored only 4 runs in their 3 games against the Braves. Washington should be too strong for Phillies tonight. Re: MLB: July 31st 2012 Picks Cardinals to beat Rockies 1.76 @ Betfair - St Louis come into this game off of back to back defeats to the Cubs but still have a 7-3 record in their last 10 games. Colorado have a 2-8 record in their last 10 games and were beaten 3-0 in the series against the Reds. For St Louis Kyle Lohse is having an unbelievable year with a 2.71 ERA and a 10-2 record and has not got gone for more than 3 runs in his last 10 games. For Colorado Jeff Francis has a 4.97 ERA with a 3-2 record but i like the Cardinals in this one as the Rockies are so bad.

Re: MLB: July 31st 2012 Picks Two more....... Athletics to beat Rays 1.85 @ Betfair - Oakland won yesterdays game after 15 innings and are going well at the moment. Milone has an incredible ERA of 0.91 at home. Milone has given up only 2 runs in his last 23 innings in Oakland. The Rays are 5-5 over their last 10 games and Shields has an ERA of 4.52 this season and is not in great form with an ERA of 6.06 in July and has an ok 8-7 record this season. Oakland are 8-2 over their last 10 and i think they will go 2-0 up in the series tonight against the Rays. Mets to beat Giants 2.46 @ Betfair - Taking a bit of a risk here on the Mets although they did beat SF 8-7 last night. Matt Harvey has only pitched 5.1 innings in his entire career and that was last week against Arizona where he didn't concede a run and only 3 hits. He also broke the franchise record for the most strikeouts on a debut with 11 K's. Giants have lost 5 in a row and Lincecum has an ERA of 5.88 this season and a 4-11 record and has been poor lately with a 6.84 ERA in July. The worrying thing for the Giants is that their last 5 defeats have all been at home. Harvey is a big prospect for the Mets and i will take a risk on him here by backing the Mets to win again in San Francisco.
