The Roosters on the hand, were outplayed by the Panthrs last week after their last minute defeat by the Rabbitohs, and with more talk of player unrest at the club, then it looks like this side has quite a few problems off the field as well as on the field. They have lost four games straight and with Slater back, their attack should be better but still not the Storm of the first few rounds when they dominated teams. Both sides have very good attacking players who can break the lines, so this game will come down to the side with the better defence. The Bulldogs have been the more consistent defenders and with an extra 3 days rest for this game, will be fresher of the two teams. Manly -7.5 @ 2.05 sportsbet Not only do NZ have to fly across the Tasman for this game, but an extra 4 hour flight out west to play this game in Perth and with the time difference as well, then expect their body clocks to be out of sync. They were very good for the first 20 minutes against Newcastle and then they capitulated as their defence, which has been a problem for them this year, saw the Knights cause plenty of problems. The Manly defence is very good while they do have some speed out wide to cause problems. Panthers @ 2.54 Betfair The Sharks will be missing a number of key players for this game - possibly Gallen, Carney, Pomeroy and Gibbs. These players form the nucleus of the Sharks team and without them I think they will struggle. Last week they were very disappointing at home to the Raiders and with even more personnel absent this week I think Penrith a 50-50 proposition, thus the odds available make this one good value IMO. Parramatta come into this game on the back of a good win over the Storm, and with their new coach looking on, they will be out to impress for next year. The Broncos edge it in the forwards but if they dod not dominate there, then they will struggle to do so with their backs, and given that their overall form has not been flash, then the Eels are right in this game. Like the Eels to keep this close but winning this one may be beyond them as they have lost 4 of their last 12 games in Brisbane.
