Re: England > Antepost > Step 4 Evo-Stik Northern & Southern & Ryman Massive credit to BetVictor for pricing up these sections (they've some Trophy numbers out, too). I feel honour bound to risk at least an EW acca. The Rymans are particularly thorny for me (the North because it is difficult to call, the South because Maidstone are rightly favourites but poor value). So I've settled on an EW yankee with the following... Evo-Stik Northern 1 North - Lancaster City 8/1 Borderline playoffs last season and the squad is pretty much intact; with one or two useful additions I think they'll break into the Curzon-Farsley-Skem group at the top (Goole are a poor price at 7s). Evo-Stik Northern 1 South - Stamford 16/1 Graham Drury has made some cracking signings with higher-level experience and I can see them fighting it out with King's Lynn Town at the top. This is a very decent price. Northwich Vics, who've lost everyone from last season, are poor favourites at 5/1. Evo-Stik Southern Central - Godalming Town 20/1 Bit of a risk this, but Neil Baker is assembling a decent squad and they were competitive in the Ryman South last season. The market headers are Slough, who are decent, and Guildford City, who arrive with plenty of momentum, but the bottom line is Godalming are not nearly as midtable as the quote suggests. Evo-Stik Southern S & W - Evesham United 12/1 Poole Town are good favourites but I've been impressed with the way Matt Clarke has gone about rebuilding a relegated Evesham side who have the added bonus of a new home. I reckon Marcus Palmer and Luke Corbett will be one of the top strike partnerships in the section. This is a sporting price.

Re: England > Antepost > Step 4 Evo-Stik Northern & Southern & Ryman This must be a first from Bet Victor. They most have picked up a non league trader from somewhere. Im nowhere near being an expert on this level, but would agree with Ships that Northwich are probably the worse favs you will ever see, the club is in a right mess. I do know plenty about Dulwich in Ryman South as they are the local club to where I live and go and go and watch them a few times a season. They have got to the last two play-off finals and are very unlucky not to be in the Ryman Premier by know. The top 3 sides last season were a fair way clear off the rest and with the other two both promoted it leaves the way clear for them. I know there have been a few changes to the side but the management team there know exactly what they are doing and it is hard not to see them going very close again. Ships mentions Maidstone who were outside of the play-offs last season but have just moved to a new ground and will be going for it this season. They are short enough though as they do need to find a fair bit of improvment for me and at 6/1 I think Dulwich are a decent e/w bet.

Re: England > Antepost > Step 4 Evo-Stik Northern & Southern & Ryman In Evo-Stik Southern S & W my tip at a decent price would be Paulton Rovers @ 12/1. They've added to a decent and possibly underperforming squad guaranteed goals in Dave Stone who is a better player than the level he's currently playing at, another frontman in Nick McCootie who impressed me when at Cinderford Town and the talented if unpredictable attacking midfielder Aaron Cornwall (who needs to settle down and remain with a club for more than a season). The one concern is manager Nick Bunyard who is new to management at this level. If they gel and perform Paulton for me could be the team to beat.

Poole Town have a good set-up and they'll benefit from last season's experience, whereas Yate Town and Hungerford Town (with James Harper for however long he stays) look a touch stronger. I can see six or seven sides taking points off each other and it being tight at the top and the price about Paulton is on the generous side. Edit - I should add as well that 12/1 Winchester City could be dark horses this season: they've Michael Charles up front and rather more pace than you'd expect of a Wessex League side. All in all, it should be a cracking season in this section.

Maidstone United are too short, but they've a great squad this season. The Olurundra brothers have experience from higher up, and the strike force of Shaun Welford, Paul Booth and Ian Draycott could easily grace a Ryman Prem team. But I have to agree with you that 6/1 Hamlets is a decent price in the circumstances: they're behind Maidstone but not by much.

Re: England > Antepost > Step 4 Evo-Stik Northern & Southern & Ryman Hungerford Town were a consideration, they've added more quality to a decent squad and have also signed perhaps the best keeper in the league in Thatcham Town's Paul Strudley. Yate Town (our local rivals at Mangotsfield United) are throwing money around and have added targetman Mitchell Page from Mangotsfield, attacking midfielder Danny Wring and defender Ollie Barnes from Bridgwater, but have lost the goals of Dave Stone, Rob Nicholls (who was interesting Bristol Rovers), Adie Adams and Hector Mackie. They will definitely improve on last season but for me aren't going to challenge at the very top.

Re: England > Antepost > Step 4 Evo-Stik Northern & Southern & Ryman I'm gutted to have missed the 6/1 on Slough for Evo1C, that would have been max bet territory for me. Probably still worth backing at 4/1 for a side that was miles clear last season when you took out moneybags St Neots. Not too confident on my side Chalfont this year, unless someone knows something I don't we seem far too short at 12s!
