Striker
Hi Great to see the Hunter chasers back in action at Wetherby today,I follow that scene closely and here are my thoughts on todays race [4.10] Quite simply, despite 17 runners its a two horse race:ok Between Favourite Sleeping Night and Legal Right. Both horses were classy under rules and come from stables who are in form and get them fit and raring to go first time up. Stakes [4 Points Total] SLEEPING NIGHT:1pt WIN @ 2.9 [betfair] LEGAL RIGHT:2pts PLACE @ 1.84 [betfair] 0.5 Reverse Exacta Forecast
Striker
Re: Hunter Chase Season 1st:Sleeping Night [11-10] 2nd:Legal Right Exacta:£6.10 [To £ dividend] Profit to Recommended Stakes:6.13pts:notworthy
bowles10
Re: Hunter Chase Season nice call striker, will be interested in some of these as i really dont follow the form apart from the inevitable ew bet on Eartmover in the foxhunters at cheltenham! Striker
Re: Hunter Chase Season Afternoon One Hunter Chase today [Ludlow,4.25] Although only 7 runners, looks quite competitive. Between three horses in my opinion Bengal Bullet:Could get the run of the race from the front Guignol Du Cochet:Proven over this tricky CD Montifault:Favourite from a powerful stable who trained Saturdays Winner. Stakes MONTIFAULT:1pt Win @ 2.78 [betfair] BENGAL BULLET:0.5pt Win @ 7. 1pt Place @ 2.94 [both Betfair] GUIGNOL DU COCHET:0.25pt Place @ 4.1 [betfair] All Ways Exacta Forecast on the above 3 @ 0.20pt [staked1.20pts] Total Staked:3.95pts

Striker
Re: Hunter Chase Season Thanks Tulenos:rollin Two Hunter Chases today. The Wincanton race is a no bet affair,as Saturdays impressive Winner Sleeping Night will be long odds on. So lets concentrate on the Huntingdon 4.10.Two horses catch my eye in an open race. JIMMY CRICKET:Point to Point Wins were in poor races, but looked to have plenty of improvement in him. VICAR"S LAD:Took to fences well when winning as connections expected last month. Staking [2.25pts total] Vicar"s Lad:0.50pt Win @ 8.6. 1pt Place @ 2.92 [both Betfair] Jimmy Cricket:0.25pt Place @ 2.96 [betfair] 0.25pt Reverse Exacta.[

BillyHills
Re: Hunter Chase Season Striker, do you ever go to Point to Points? Thinking of going to Garthorpe when a meeting is on next month. Are you backing these selections by the way? The only reason i ask is that minimum stake on Betfair is £2, so just wondered how it works. Best of luck, good start anyway, keep it up. Striker
Re: Hunter Chase Season Hi Billy Cant recommend a more enjoyable day, than a Point to Point meeting. I am backing these selections,my personal stakes being £10 a Point,£5 a 0.50pt and £3 a 0.25pt
jakeday
Re: Hunter Chase Season Billy, FYI it is possible to get bets on at Betfair less than £2. If you want to back a selection for £1. Simply put on a £2 bet at silly odds. Say 99/1. This obviously won't be matched. Then increase the bet to £3. Confirm and you'll find you have 2 bets. £2 and £1 at the same price. Delete the £2 bet and you're in with a £1 bet which you can the move the price of to your required price. One note. If you put the £1 onto an "empty" price. It won't show up. Only bets of £2 or greater will. It is still "there" it just won't show until the total value at that price is £2 or greater. If you stick it onto a pile with £100 already there, the value will change to £101. One word of caution. Make sure you put in a price that doesn't get matched. Try it out. Its far more straightforward than the above explanation suggests!

Striker
Re: Hunter Chase Season Good Afternoon One Hunter Chase race today [bangor,4.30] But its a NO Bet race for me Folly Pleasant looks a solid Favourite on paper, but a bit worrying its a drifter on the Exchanges. The horse I will be watching closely with a view to the rest of the season is Fiori. Very talented horse who has been difficult to train, but is only 9 which is very young for these type of races.Today could be the day to catch him though as he goes well fresh.Of the bigger prices Gatsby is a solid jumper, and could go well. But all in all too many question marks for me to bet,but an interesting race to watch nonetheless.
Striker
Re: Hunter Chase Season Update Turned out to be the right decision not to play. Layers got a result with Folly beaten, and the race Won by another Nicholls horse in Silence Reigns Fiori ran awful, and obviously still has training problems,Gatsby was a NR. No Hunter chase for Saturday,so will post again on Sunday for the one scheduled that day at Ayr.
BillyHills
Re: Hunter Chase Season Jake, thanks for that mate, didnt realise. Striker, thought you might have layed the 'fav' after what you said ? Good decision, as good as backing a winner!!
Striker
Re: Hunter Chase Season Thought about it Billy. But not a great fan of laying horses, will do it from time to time but although a "Winner" is a Winner,I dont get the same excitement as backing a horse to Win or Place! Striker
Re: Hunter Chase Season Afternoon Sadly todays Hunter Chase has lost a lot of its appeal,as Favourite Sikander A Azam has been pulled out.Chergan will probably go off as the new Favourite, but looking at the revised markets Win and Place, nothing appeals so again NO Bet for me! Striker
Re: Hunter Chase Season Hi Todays Hunter chase at Folkestone is a No No again! There is an odds on Favourite too short to back, and none of the opposition look worthy of chancing for a Place bet Back tomorrow loooking at the Musselburgh race.
