AGurv
34-31 +2.08 units (50.79%) Reds -130 to win 1 unit @ 5dimes Can always count on Edwin Jackson to give up a few, especially as the season moves on and the bats heat up Rangers -122 to win 1 unit @ 5dimes Hard to bet against Weaver, but this is Angels defense is pretty horrific
Samba_SamPa
Re: MLB: May 13th 2012 Picks Mets/Marlins (Team to score first NOT to win the game) 1pt @ 3.10 Bet365 Strange market to have a bet in, but I have been impressed with the Mets' recent resolve, often coming from behind to take the W. Wouldn't make a habit of taking this bet, but at over 2/1 it's tempting enough for me to have a stab tonight. Mariners (m/l) 1pt @ 2.85 Bet365 Simply opposing Pettitte on his return 2 years after retiring. He's of course been there and done it several times before, but a bit of rustiness is just to be expected imo
Samba_SamPa
Re: MLB: May 13th 2012 Picks Cubs (-2.5) 1pt @ 3.85 Bet365 Cubs can snap a 10-game skid in Milwaukee, with a win tonight. Put simply: Samardzija > Estrada. Nigh on Evens for the m/l win was tempting, just over 6/4 for giving up 1.5 wasn't, but nigh on 3/1 for giving up 2.5 is the most value imo. Samardzija went 7 inns giving up 1 ER against the Braves lto, while Estrada got tagged for 5 ERs in the same spell in a loss to the Reds. Braves (m/l) 1pt @ 2.36 Bet365 Figure the Braves are a good price to end Lynn's 6-0 start to the season for the hosts. 4 of those 6 have come against Pittsburgh and the Cubs, whereas Atlanta rank 4th on offense in the majors. Hanson's got a good record v the Cards' Beltran (0.00 from 10 ABs), and I think the likes of Bourn and Chipper can provide the run support to him to nail the 3-0 streak for the series
Samba_SamPa
Re: MLB: May 13th 2012 Picks Mets/Marlins (Team to score first NOT to win the game) 1pt @ 3.10 Bet365 Mariners (m/l) 1pt @ 2.85 Bet365 Cubs (-2.5) 1pt @ 3.85 Bet365 Braves (m/l) 1pt @ 2.36 Bet365 Mets got on the board first, and took a 4-2 lead into the bottom of the 9th. Marlins fought their way back level before a walkoff Grandslam gave them an 8-4 verdict. Pettitte wasn't at all bad for the evil empire, but a pair of 2-run homers for the Mariners, and little run support from his offense ensured his return to the majors was marked with a L. The Cubs abused the Brewers' pen for an ultimately comfortable looking 8-2 win, whilst Jonny Venters struck out Lance Berkman to help the Braves survive a final inning 3-run homer by Allen Craig. Good night :) 2012 record: 30-34 (+19.65)
