Hi thanks for the reply. I don't actually use any software as such the way I come up with my ratings for each race is to follow a set formula I have which takes into account official ratings, last winning/place marks, last three runs performance and course/distance form and a few other variables. I have scores based on each and then come up with a rating. :)

Is what Cowan says about profit in total correct as in its all one system thats you back both top and 2nd rated or is it 2 seperate banks for the 2 systems. i thought it was 2 different for some reason.

I have worked them out as two seperate banks. But If you had dutched the Top and Second rated for all the races I put up you would have made a 23.87 pts profit so far.
