Re: MLB: May 2nd 2012 Picks Mariners (m/l) 1pt @ 2.90 Bet365 Shaking my head as I am typing this, but just think at touching 2/1 that the Mariners are decent value for this ballgame. Shields is 4-0 but had his worst outing last time, yielding 4 ERs in 6 innings at Texas, being bailed out by a hot offense. If Beavan can slightly improve on what have been ok outings so far, then I can see this being a whole lot closer than the odds suggest. The Rays have taken the first 2 games of the series, both tight affairs, 3-1 and 3-2, but the Mariners can edge this one

He allowed 2 runs in each of his last two starts, and is also 6-0 with a 2.78 ERA in his last 10 home. For Texas, Harrison is 3-1, with a 3.38 ERA and is coming off allowing 7 runs in the 8-4 loss to Tampa Bay. Like him to bounce back here even though he has gone 0-1 with a 10.54 ERA in 3 starts against Toronto as Texas have been hitting left handed pitching pretty well all season, and like them to hit Romero here Houston -1.5 @ 2.65 Pinnacle Rodriguez is 2-2, with a 1.72 ERA as he allowed 3 hits in the 12-0 win over the LA Dodgers and then allowed 2 runs in the 6-4 win at Cincinnati. He has gone 2-0 with a 1.73 ERA in 4 home starts against the NY Mets, and like him to lead the Astros to a rare series sweep over them. Schindern is 0-0, with a 11.25 ERA as he allowed 6 runs on 7 hits, in the 18-9 loss to Colorado, and has gone 0-2 with a 5.76 ERA in 5 major league starts. Not pitching all that well and like the Astros to score on him here Arizona -1.5 @ 2.83 Pinnacle Saunders is 2-1, with a 0.90 ERA as he allowed 3 hits in the 5-0 win in Miami. He has allowed just 7 hits in his 2 road starts this season and is 9-3 with a 2.30 ERA over his last 14 road starts. Though he has a 6.00 ERA in losing his 2 starts in Washington like the way he has been pitching and with the Nationals having problems with left handed pitching this season, like him to limit them here. Jackson is 1-1, with a 3.16 ERA as he allowed 6 hits in the 2-1 loss to San Diego and is 1-2 with a 3.33 ERA in 4 starts against Arizona. Like Arizona to win again as they have won 4 of their last 5 games while Washington have lost 5 straight games. Philly -1.5 @ 2.53 Pinnacle Halladay is 3-2, with a 1.95 ERA as he allowed 3 runs in the 5-1 loss to the Chicago Cubs. He has gone 4-1 with a 1.78 ERA in 6 starts against Atlanta, who have Hanson on the mound. He is 3-2, with a 3.00 ERA as he allowed 1 run in the 6-1 in over Pittsburgh. He has gone 1-2 with a 2.23 ERA in 7 starts against the Phillies. Not much between the two pitchers, but like the Phillies bats that are starting to wake up, having scored 4+ runs in 6 of their last 8 games, and in their last 4 road games. Record: 37-56 (-3.64)
