14-13 +0.77 units (51.85%) Dodgers +165 to bet 1 unit @ 5dimes Dodgers have been playing pretty well, while Grienke has always had rocky starts in April. Had a good start the first time but got crushed by the Cubs the second time. I expect him to have a pretty bad game today again. Phillies -110 to win 1 unit @ 5dimes It's just rare that you are able to get Lee at this price. There's a better chance to me that the Phillies could get some hits off Cain then the Giants getting some off Lee.

Re: MLB: April 18th 2012 Picks Detroit -1.5 @ 2.35 pinnacle Like Scherzer to bounce back after allowing 7 runs in the 13-12 win over Boston and then allowing 3 runs in the 5-2 loss to the Chicago White Sox. He pitched much better against them and like him to return to form against Kansas, where in his last start against them last year, he allowed 2 runs in the 6-3 win over them. Detroit faces another left handed pitcher in Sanchez, and they have won all 5 games this season that they have faced lefties. He allowed 5 runs in the 11-9 loss to Cleveland, and not confident in stopping this team that has scored at least 3 runs in winning their last 3 road games, while allowing no more than two runs in each of them. St Louis -1.5 @ 2.83 pinnacle Garcia is 1-0, with a 4.22 ERA as he allowed 3 runs on 11 hits in the 4-3 loss at Cincinnati last week, and like him to bounce back here as he usually pitches better at home. He is 6-1 with a 3.38 ERA but is 4-0 with a 2.19 ERA at home against them. With the Reds struggles with the bat, scoring 3 runs or less in losing 5 of their last 7 games, then like Garcia to contain them here. Latos allowed 4 runs on 7 hits in the 8-3 loss to Miami, and then gave up 2 runs in the 3-2 loss to Washington. Against the Cardinals, he has given up 15 runs and 17 hits in his last two starts in St Louis, and with the Cardinals bats hitting .389, then like them to hit him again Philly -1.5 @ 2.68 pinnacle Lee allowed 4 runs on 5 hits in the 5-2 loss to the Mets and like him to bounce back here against a team he has had success against in the past. He has gone 4-0 with a very low 0.82 ERA in 4 regualr season starts against the Giants. Cain is coming off a very good performance where he allowed just one hit in a complete game, 5-0 win over Pittsburgh. He is 2-4 with a 3.56 ERA against the Phillies, and has been either very good, allowing 2 runs or less agains them or very poor, allowing 5 runs or more in his other starts. I'll take the Phillies bats over the Giants line up, and like them to win this one for Lee Record: 18-32 (-6.89)

Re: MLB: April 18th 2012 Picks Rangers/Red Sox (under 7 runs) 1pt @ 3.40 Bet365 Both these pitchers come into tonight's game off the back of impressive last time out performances - giving up just 3 ERs between them in 15.1 innings. Like the odds on there being a pitcher-dominated clash tonight.

2012 record: 9-19 (-3.23)

Re: MLB: April 18th 2012 Picks Phillies/Giants (over 7 runs) 1pt @ 3.05 Bet365 Matt Cain threw as close to a perfect game as you can get lto, but he was hit for 5 on his season debut against the Dbacks. Cliff Lee turned in a 5-hit, 4-run, effort over 7 innings in a defeat to the Mets last time. Point being both of these elite pitchers can, and do, have days when they can be scored against. Over 2/1 for a bet where the stake is only lost if there are 6 or fewer runs sounds fine to me, in a game where my anticipation is of a 6-3 type game with the Giants coming out on top of the scoreline Padres/Rockies (under 8 runs) 1pt @ 2.80 I like Nicasio to bounce back with a couple games under his belt and find something approaching his rookie performances at Coors Field last year, where was 4-1 in 7 starts with a 1.98 ERA. On the mound for the Padres will be Clayton Richard who hasn't enjoyed his previous visits to Colorado, but had a fine performance against them last time, last season, where although being handed the L actually gave up only 1 run and K'd 8 in 7 innings.

2012 record: 9-19 (-3.23)
