MLB: April 9th 2012 Picks

5-4 +0.46 units (55.55%) Royals -101 to win 1 unit @ 5dimes Seems like pretty good odds for a team that has been playing pretty well offensively. Going up against a team that will struggle to score runs all year. Marlins +139 to bet 1 unit @ 5dimes Like the value you here. Having watched the Phillies all weekend I see there offensive struggles continuing. These look like 2 even teams to me, with this line I will bite.

Re: MLB: April 9th 2012 Picks Colorado -1.5 @ 2.24 pinnacle Colorado lost 2 of 3 in the opening series to Houston but like them to bounce back here. Chacin has a decent record pitching to SF with Sandoval only having hit him well. SF have lost their first four games, and with Zito on the mound, it does not get any better, as he struggled during spring season. Also he has given up runs in his last two starts in Colorado, while last year, he also gave up runs when pitching during the day. Home opener for Colorado and like them to provide Chacin with some run support as they have a good record in their first home game of the season Record: 4-6 (-0.57)

Re: MLB: April 9th 2012 Picks Angels/Twins (Over 8.5 runs) 1pt @ 2.15 Bet365 Big money acquisition CJ Wilson makes his debut for the Angels tonight as they travel to begin a 3-game series in Minnesota, and he will be looking to return to his regular season performances rather than his play-off performances of 2011. He doesn't however boast very impressive stats against the Twins, with a 6.67ERA and a 2-2 record in 5 starts v them previously. Whilst Minni will look at their past record v Wilson and fancy themselves to put some runs on the board, their own Nick Blackburn doesn't have a good record against the Angels either. A 1-3 record and ERA of 5.40 in 6 starts would suggest that the scoreboard operators should be kept busy tonight. Cubs (m/l) 1pt @ 2.22 Bet365 Think the Cubs are the value in what I see as a pickem game against the Brewers tonight. Both pitchers have good records against their opponents, and it promises to be a tight low-scoring affair. Brewers took the series v the Cubs 10-6 last season, their first since 2005, but Cubs won 5 of 7 at Wrigley, and look value at over 6/5 tonight. Reds (-1.5) 1pt @ 2.82 Pinnacle Again, it's about what I perceive as being value here. Could be a high-scoring affair this one, but odds of 2.05 for over 10 runs don't really appeal, with Westbrook being a slow starter to his seasons and Homer Bailey only even being in the rotation thanks to injuries after an awful set of displays in Spring matches. Go back to last season though, and Bailey set new highs for wins, innings pitched and Ks, whilst the Reds took 5 of 6 against the Cards in Cinci. Reds are 10/11 to win the match, and the just over 9/5 on them to win it by more than 1 looks the value to my eye.

2012 record: 5-6 (+2.57) Good luck, all

Re: MLB: April 9th 2012 Picks Colorado -1.5 @ 2.24 Add: Baltimore - NY Yankees over 9.5 @ 2.04 pinnacle Baltimore off to a good start with a series sweep over Minnesota, so will not fear the Yankees who come to town. They have been ok against Nova in the past so like them to get a few runs here with the form they have with the bat. Expect the Yankees bats to hit Matusz as they have in the past, as they are coming off being swept by the Rays, so they will be looking to make amends here. Wiind is blowing out which wil suit the batters, so like some runs to be scored here Cincinnati - St Louis over 9.5 @ 2.09 pinnacle Bailey pitches for the Reds and went 1-1 with a 5.23 in two starts last year and is 2-5 with a 5.64 ERA overall against the Cardinals. He struggled during spring training so can see him getting hit here. Westbrook went 1-0 with a 5.09 ERA in three starts against the Reds last year and is 2-1 with a 4.39 ERA overall against them. Both teams loaded with good batting lineups in a stadium that tends to see runs scored. Houston @ 2.55 pinnacle Happ starts for Houston and has gone 2-0 with a 2.09 in 6 starts against Atlanta, so plenty of value here, as the Astros are coming off a 2-1 series win over Colorado. Atlanta has lost their first three games of the season, and their batters have yet to get going. Neither pitcher impressive in spring training but like the value around the Astros here, particularly as Happ as done well against them in the past Record: 4-6 (-0.57)
