Two for me tonight. 4pts J.Wade to beat A.Lewis 5/4 Blue Square James Wade comes into this match in decent form after whitewashing Whitlock last week and I think he'll go well in this match against a guy he often plays well against. Lewis beat Barneveld last week but he lost to Hamilton and doesn't look convincing. I've been impressed with Wade's scoring so far and if that continues and he finishes like he can then I think he'll be too consistant for his for in this one. 4pts S.Whitlock to beat G.Anderson 13/10 Blue Square It may be folly taking someone who has just lost 8-0 but I expect Whitlock to bounce back with a strong performance in this match. We don't really know how Anderson will be because I can't believe he will have thought about darts too much in recent times. He may want to perform well for his late father or he may be distanced from the game mentally. Anderson has lost his last 3 matches so isn't in form even without the external issues so at 13/10 with me confident he'll perform a lot better tonight I'll take Whitlock in the finale. Re: Premier League Darts - Week 9 4 for me in total tonight. Raymond van Barneveld to beat Kevin Painter- 8/11 William Hill- (4/10) Not interested in the handicap on the Dutchman tonight as Painter throws first, meaning Barney will need to win by 2 breaks of throw but I do think he'll win. Barneveld will be disappointed with the way he played against Lewis last week as the loss stopped his momentum a bit, but he'll be looking to move closer to the semis with a win in the opening match tonight. Barring Taylor, he has been the most consistent player in the league thus far, in terms of scoring and averages, and you feel if he repeats the form he has shown in the opening 7 weeks, he will have too much for Painter. The Artist hasn't exactly been turning too many eyes with his averages, and since losing to Barney, he's currently on a run of 3 successive defeats. His finishing still remains decent but if Barney reaches a 3 figure average, I don't see Painter sticking with him all the way and I fancy the Dutchman to be too good for Painter tonight. Simon Whitlock to beat Gary Anderson- 13/10 Blue Square- (4/10) Under 7.5 180s- Evens William Hill- (3/10) Nobody will be more desperate for a good performance than the Aussie tonight after the horror show of last week in which he failed to win a leg against James Wade. That poor showing should spur him on and really motivate him for a good performance this week, and as we've seen so far in the league, he usually ups his game after a poor result and I expect him to do that tonight. It would be understandable if darts was the last thing on Gary Anderson's mind right now given his personal circumstances with his dad and I'm not sure how much he's practiced over the last couple of weeks or so. Even before the sad news, he wasn't playing that well in the league anyway and his best performance came against Barneveld but still lost the match. That was the week before he recieved the news about his father so there's a fair chance any momentum he could have taken from that match has been halted. With everything taken into consideration, you have to feel Whitlock, despite last week's result is in a better place right now and last week was just one of those week's for the Aussie. He beat Anderson 8-6 in their previous match in the PL and I fancy him to complete the double over the Scot tonight. I'm also backing the unders on the maximums in this one despite both guys being two of the heaviest scorers in the game. As I've said, I'm not entirely convinced about Anderson right now in terms of darts and for that reason I'm doubtful whether he'll be able to produce his heavy scoring and his best darts. Even in the first 6 weeks, he really struggled to be at his devastating best with his scoring and the recent news will hardly help that you would think. Whitlock has been a bit hit and miss with his heavy scoring, and I actually think he'll win this pretty comfortably in the end if he gets a good start. In the previous league match between these two, they played 16 legs and there were only 8 maximums scored, and with Anderson surely likely to be rusty, I'll back Whitlock to win with no more than 7 180s scored. Adrian Lewis vs James Wade- Match with Most 180s in Week- 2/1 William Hill- (3/10) I'm not the biggest fan of betting on James Wade but after a poor first few weeks in which he couldn't find a double, he's gotten better and better and apart from a hammering to Phil Taylor, he has won all of his matches since week 4. What's been the most impressive aspect of his game has been his scoring. It's been as good as anyone's really, and that's not something you really associate with Wade. Lewis really needed that win over Barneveld last week after he was pretty poor in the opening match against Hamilton and he needs a decent run really if he is to make the top 4. One thing he has been pretty consistent on has been his scoring, as he leads the table on 180s by a fair distance. In the first match in the league between the pair of them, there were 11 180s scored and with the way both have been scoring recently, it's not impossible that both players could combine and reach a similar amount. If we see around 7 maximums in this one I think there's a decent chance that this bet will come through. Hamilton shouldn't stay close enough with Taylor for that one to really matter in this market and although the Anderson-Whitlock match is a danger, the Scot may well be rusty and there won't be too many 180s scored there. With regards to the other match, Painter doesn't hit a ton of maximums and although Barney has scored well in the tournament, it will be left to him to really get the total going. In Lewis and Wade, we have the two guys who have scored the heaviest in recent weeks, and as long as one guy doesn't run away with the match, I think there's a pretty good chance that this match will be the one where the most maximums are scored.

Re: Premier League Darts - Week 9 At last a perfect night for me. Would have loved Hamilton to have hit the bull in the final leg due to the Taylor outright I have going but delighted with the results tonight in what was a cracking session. +17.10 tonight, bringing me back to a semi respectable -3.59 for the tournament.
