Re: Indian Premier League 2012 My favourite domestic competition returns this wednesday, should be another great renewal this year, Outright : Mumbai Indians to win IPL 2012 @ 9/2 (Bet365) Tendulkar has handed over the captaincy to Harbajhan which will let the little master concentrate solely on what he does best and just play proper cricket shots, MI have struggled to have explosive power at the top with him, however they have signed Richard Levi, the burly South African blew New Zealand away scoring a rapid 50 ball century. Indian conditions pitches should suit him, even if he does struggle they have the experience of Herchelle Gibbs waiting in the wings. They have also struggled to have a proper wicket keeper, previously Jacobs or part timer Rayadu have done it, but they've brought in the solid Dinesh Karthik, he can also chip in with valuable runs. Pollard and Malinga look certs for 2 of the 4 overseas slots, however new additions include Mckay, Mitch Johnson, Thisara Perera and Franklin is still there. The bowling will be led by Bhaji and Malinga, backed up by the canny and dangerous Pragyan Ojha, RP Singh and Munaf Patel offer solid, experienced seam options. With the squad they have, they shouldd be going deep into this competition and improve on previous years. A few other sides look dangerous, but Mumbai have a nice balance to their side and decent bench to mix things up if things dont pan out early on. Top Tournament bowler : Pragyan Ojha 33/1 EW (4 places 1/4odds) The experienced slow left armer has plenty of guile, been there and got the t-shirt with Deccan Chargers, with teams likely to respect Malinga, the Mumbai spinners might be targeted, might go for a few but likely to pick up a lot of wickets. Has good variations and likes to attack batsmen.

Re: Indian Premier League 2012 Cant wait for this to start. Few outrights for me: - 1pt Tournament Winner: Kolkata Knight Riders @ 7/1 [General] Lightning has struck twice in two years for me in picking Kolkata to win the tournament. I often feel that they are the perennial underachievers and I really like the make-up and balance in their team this time round. At the top of the order they have two very good players in Kallis and Brendon Mccullum. Not much needs to be said about those, neither the following player Gautam Gambhir. Gambhir still remains one of my favourite batsman in world cricket and he is a pretty decent captain. Their middle order consists of very useful players such as Yusuf Pathan, Manoj Tiwary, Shakib al Hasan and Ryan ten Doeschate. They then have the bowling unit of Brett Lee, Sunil Narine and the very talented Iqbal Abdulla to go with it (I rate that guy highly, see below). Now all of those players cannot play at once but there is some undeniable talent here which can't be ignored. Definitely feel Chennai will be the team to beat but I like KKR to go well here. I haven't even mentioned Brad, Haddin, James Pattinson and others such as L Balaji and Rajat Bhatia (who is another very useful bowler). They're my pick for the second year running. Definitely.

Re: Indian Premier League 2012 Top tournament batsman and bowlers time: - 2pts Top Tournament Batsman: Virat Kohli @ 8/1 ew [General] - 1pt Top Tournament Batsman: Gautam Gambhir @ 20/1 ew [betVictor]Again, twice in two years for the main man. Definitely feel Gambhir again go do his thing. First and foremost a Top Tournament batsman in my view has to be coming from a position in Top 3. The Top Tournament Batsman has to come from a team that will reach the Final 4. Finally, the Top Tournament Batsman has to come from a country that doesn't come from an international side that will take some of the players away limiting their players to only a few matches and most importantly, the Top Tournament Batsman has to be a good player with a good IPL record! Kohli and Gambhir tick all those boxes. Gambhir as mentioned previously and last year is a solid batsman in this format with a good t20 record. He should play all the games and his average of just under 30 is very impressive considering the number of matches he's played in this format. Kohli has firmly established himself as one of the worlds best batsmen. What I like about this guy is his full range of strokes AND the fact that he plays his home matches at Bangalore. The small boundaries there will give him runs that he won't get at other grounds. These two are my definite picks for this year. - 1pt Top Tournament Bowler: Ravi Ashwin @ 20/1 [General] - 1pt Top Tournament Bowler: Iqbal Abdulla @ 50/1 [betVictor] Two spinners are my picks for the bowling side of things this year. Not only have these two got decent records in IPL history, they both play for teams that I expect to be here for the duration. Let's start with Ashwin. Got his test call-up in the past year, decent international performances and he plays his home games at Chennai which isn't the easiest place to bat against his mystery spin. He came fourth last year which is a very good return for a 20/1 shot. I am happy to put 1pt in his basket this time around. Similarly I am happy to sign with Abdulla over at KKR. Eden Gardens has always been a tricky place to play cricket and that has turned into Adbulla taking wickets. He played 15 matches last year, taking 16 wickets which is impressive for this young player with not the GREATEST experience. Definitely feel he can build on his debut season and do well. He should always play too, him being Indian gives him the nod against others and saves him from rotation so I am more than happy to side with the two young off-spinners.

Re: Indian Premier League 2012 Other outrights include now: - 1pt: Top Deccan Chargers Batsman: JP Duminy @ 7/1 [stan James] Long odds for JP here and I think he can snag it. This market sees Sanga as the general favourite but he's toiling in the test matches with England right now. Shikar Dhawan and Partiv Patel are WAY too erratic and sometime-ish for me to even think about backing so that leaves the fairly reliable JP to take this one and I think he is a good shout to do so. He will come in no lower than number 5 and he has a plethora of IPL and limited over experience. At 7/1, I think he is too long here. I'll chance 1pt to see how he fares. - 2pts Top Kings XI Batsman: S Marsh @ 7/4 [betVictor] Marsh was one of my shouts as the top tournament batsman to to take him in this market isnt too much of a surprise. He performed at the Big Bash this year and went VERY well last year. I like Gilchrist but he is often sometime-ish at the top of the order. Marsh isn't featured in Australia's international plans either so he should be around all tournament. Rigthfully the favourite for me. - 3pts Top Tournament 6-Hitter: Chris Gayle @ 9/4 [stanJames] - 1pt Top Tournament 6-Hitter: S Raina @ 10/1 [stanJames] Not amazing amounts of explanation needed here. Two players who are natural strikers of the ball playing at the smallest grounds in the country. Raina and Gayle both sit comfortably inside the top five of the highest six-hitters in IPL history. Definitely not much talk needed with Gayle, dude played 12 of 17 matches last year and shat on everyone. Raina hasn't really hit the heights of a few years back but he feels at home in the IPL. The Chinnaswamy is a boundary well within his reach and he slots nicely into the Chennai line-up. These two for me easy.

Top Tournament bowler : Pragyan Ojha 33/1 EW (4 places 1/4odds) The experienced slow left armer has plenty of guile, been there and got the t-shirt with Deccan Chargers, with teams likely to respect Malinga, the Mumbai spinners might be targeted, might go for a few but likely to pick up a lot of wickets. forgot to say this 33/1 was with skybet and bet victor yesterday both now 20/1 and 25/1 respectively, bet365 are currently 5/1 Ojha!? dont know whats going on there?:\:unsure In addition top bat - Suresh Raina 14/1 EW Bet 365 (1/4 odds 5 places), do believe the stylish left hander is leading IPL runscorer, l do like Kohli as well but feel Raina's price offers more value, he'll have more responsiblity on his shoulders with Hussey missing the early part of the comp, 20/20 is his strongest format and Chennai will need him to fire if they expect to do well. Im also doing Yusuf Pathan 80/1 EW and Kieron Pollard 80/1 EW (5 places 1/4 odds) Bet365 Pathan will surely bat higher up the order for KKR and Pollard is showing more patience at the crease and better shot selection, couple of knocks vs the aussies show he's maturing. Both these boys proven hitters.

Re: Indian Premier League 2012 One outright for me to begin with. Will come back with others in the morning while I'm watching the test match. 2pts ew Royal Challengers Bangalore to win IPL5 11/2 Bet365 (1/3 1,2) I like the Royal Challengers this year. Last year they were a touch expensive with the ball and that cost them a bit so they've gone out and signed Murali who even now is still hard to get away. He along with Daniel Vettori can stick the squeeze done on sides and that's a massive advantage because Chris Gayle can outscore most teams on his own especially at Bangalore where mishits fly for 6 for him. Throw into the mix Virat Kohli, Dilshan, AB de Villiers and even the likes of Saurabh Tiwary and Mohammad Kaif and this is a serious Bangalore batting line up. Vinay Kumar is a canny bowler and an excellent addition to the squad while Zaheer Khan can keep things tight too so I think Bangalore have both sides of the ball covered and as long as they are competitive away from Bangalore, which with their batting line up they should be then I think finally that elusive IPL title can head to the land of Bangalore at the end of this season.

Re: Indian Premier League 2012 Couple of top batsmen for me. 1pt ew S.Marsh Top IPL5 Batsman 22/1 Bet365 (1/4 1-5) Shaun Marsh clearly loves playing for the Kings XI Punjab and I think he will go well in this tournament. Shaun Marsh was the top scorer in the tournament when it was first player in 2008 and he was 4th last year even though the Kings XI had a pretty dismal year all round. Having lost his place in the Australian sides in all competitions he will want to score well in this tournament to push for his place back ahead of a big year for the Aussies from the World T20 in September. We know Marsh has lost none of his ability in this format with his innings for the Perth Scorchers in the KFC Big Bash League earlier in the year and with Kings XI needing runs a plenty of the good batting wickets that they play on I think the Australian opener looks a decent each way bet in the top batsman market to me. 0.5pts ew D.Hussey Top IPL5 Batsman 66/1 Skybet (1/4 1-5) David Hussey has been in excellent form for Australia in recent times putting some of the top bowlers in the world to the sword and I think he will have a key part to play for the Kings XI side as well. Luckily for Adam Gilchrist's men, Hussey escaped test calls and will be available throughout this tournament which is a bonus for all concerned. Hussey is a very solid T20 batsman with bags of experience in the IPL, KFC Big Bash and for Nottinghamshire in county cricket. He knows how to pace an innings, he knows when to rebuild and reads matches very well. He plays spin well and has big shots in his locker and at a bigger price than he should be and many others who aren't as good as him are I think the Australian is worth a little tickle at 66/1 just in case his excellent form continues for the next 6 weeks.

Re: Indian Premier League 2012 And now a top bowler 1pt ew D.Bollinger Top IPL5 Bowler 25/1 BetVictor (1/4 1-4) Doug Bollinger has a really good record in the IPL. In 2010 which was his first season he took 12 wickets at 17.25 in just 8 matches where if he had played the full tournament on that ratio he would've been easily in the top 4 or 5 and then last year he took 17 wickets at 19.35 but again he missed a few matches. This season he is with Chennai for the whole tournament and so I expect him to be right in the mix. He's another with a point to prove to the Australian selectors having lost his place in the side and if he can go well in this tournament then he could force his way back into their plans. Chennai's wicket does enough to keep Bollinger interested and the way Dhoni uses him is good too. He swings it both ways and his natural angle across the batsman is tight so they take risks every time they take him on. Spinners tend to go well in this tournament and that could be the case again but there isn't a standout spin option for me other than Ashwin and he's half the price of Bollinger who will have the new ball for the same team. At 25/1 I think Dougie B could give us a real run for our money for the defending champions.

Re: Indian Premier League 2012

Kevshat That 66s on Hussey's now gone. Do you have the power to move markets? Awesome. Best I can find now, 40s with Paddy Power. Good luck in the IPL this year.
Cheers mate. Sadly Skybet don't seem to stand prices I take for very long when they are a standout price. 40/1 is still bigger than I'd have him if you want to follow. 2 more outrights for me. 3pts V.Kohli Top Indian Batsman 7/2 Stan James I'm a huge fan of Virat Kohli and have been ever since I first saw him and in the last 12-18 months he's become India's best batsman in all forms of cricket. He was the only Indian to come out of the Australia test series with any credit and since then he's been going bonkers. He played a couple of fantastic innings in the CB series and then in the Asia Cup he was even better. This guy is a serious talent who will break a number of records in the game. What I like about him in this tournament is he plays for Bangalore who have easily the best ground to bat on in the competition and that could be vital. It's no surprise he was the top Indian runscorer in the competition last season and I fully expect him to be this season too. He has a calmness about him that handles pressurised situations and when the opportunity arises he can give it the crash bang wallop approach as well. Kohli's bat has been firing out a lot of runs in recent times and I expect that to continue throughout this IPL tournament. 2pts Rajasthan Royals to finish bottom 4/1 William Hill For me Rajasthan have the weakest squad in the competition and the absence of Shane Warne on this side can not be over exagerrated. Him not being there will make a massive difference to the shake up and mentality of this side and with Shane Watson out in the West Indies for the first 3 weeks of the tournament I'm struggling to see where solid and consistent runs are coming from. Rahul Dravid knows his onions and will no doubt skipper the side well enough but there isn't a lot in their bowling attack when you consider even Warne couldn't get Tait firing on all cylinders and unless someone really steps up with the bat I think this will be a season of struggle for the Royals who look a little bit overrated in the market based on their previous win in the tournament when it was first introduced. I think the Kings XI, Pune and Deccan all have that star quality that can win matches but until Watson comes back I don't see that in Rajasthan and it could be too late by the time he arrives.

Re: Indian Premier League 2012 Final outright bet for now. Will go through the rest of the team bat/bowlers after the first match as I'm aware the toss for that is at 3pm. 1pt R.Levi Top Mumbai Indians Tournament Batsman 11/2 BetVictor Richard Levi is the new kid on the block in this format and while Mumbai are well covered in the batting department I think he will get his chance to impress initially and from what we saw of him in New Zealand recently none of the grounds will be big enough for him when he gets going. He will contribute a few low scores as this tournament goes on but when he comes off he'll come off in a big way so will make up for those low scores. Sachin Tendulkar is an obvious danger in this market but having given up the captaincy and never really ever being a fan of the format I just wonder if he will miss a game or two in the busy schedule. Rohit Sharma and Kieron Pollard are all quality players too but when he plays Levi will open the batting and if he can perform consistently then he'll go very close indeed. Even if he doesn't his big scores when they come will see him catch up anyone above him and at 11/2 he looks the value to the little master to me.

Re: Indian Premier League 2012 Just the one bet for me in the opening match. Should be an absolute belter :cigar. 4pts Mumbai Highest 1st 6 Overs 10/11 Blue Square I like Mumbai in this market. Having Richard Levi at the top of the order is a massive plus because even just 3 overs of him will have the Mumbai scoreboard ticking along while Sachin and then the next men in - Sharma, Pollard, Rayudu etc etc can all keep the scoreboard moving too. What I like most about it is Mumbai's bowling attack. We know Lasith Malinga will keep one end tight and Munaf Patel is pretty tight too while the likes of Harbhajan Singh and Ali Murtaza are all decent enough are keeping things tight. Murali Vijay is hit and miss at the top of the Chennai order and while Suresh Raina is quality he can take a couple of overs to get going. At some point in the first 6 overs you would feel Albie Morkel has to bowl which will help any opponent in a 6 over match :lol. If Levi gets going then Mumbai will be out of sight but with Malinga to fall back on if they don't get away then I think the 10/11 is a more than fair price in the 6 over match in the opening game of the tournament.

Re: Indian Premier League 2012 Good luck with those Kev. One more outright for me. - 2pts Top Pune Warriors Batsman: Robin Uthappa @ 7/2 [betVictor] Pune were in bits last year. Too many inconsistent batting performances and they never really looked content under Yuvraj's captaincy. 2012 is a new year though and I'm sure things will be very different without Yuvraj Singh. Not only does that free up a major batsman spot, it should give the Pune top order renewed vigour to press on and score big knowing Yuvraj won't be coming in to control things later on. That is something in which I believe Robin Uthappa will exploit. Quality batsman and importantly he comes in early enough to score big runs. Tamim Iqbal is the new boy at Pune; I am not sure how he will fare in this tournament which leaves Sourav Ganguly, Jesse Ryder and Manish Pandey as the other threats. I'll take Robin on here.

Re: Indian Premier League 2012 Was waiting for the toss here, happy with the result - 6pts Chennai Super Kings (vs. Mumbai Indians) @ EVS [bet365] 9 matches here last year at Chennai, eight matches won by the team batting first. Incidentally Chennai won every match that they played at home. They know what to do in their own conditions and I firmly feel that they will go on and get their tournament started off rightly like they did last year. Mumbai has a strong team, I can't deny that. Chennai's team has never looked brilliant on paper but they simply know what to do when it comes to it. Very interesting to see Harbhajan win the toss and opt to bowl considering the toss bias from last year. Minor, home team for me.

Early one for tomorrow, Kolkata KR to beat Delhi Daredevils 4/5 bet365 KKR look to have a good options in terms of their 4 overseas players, McCullum returns to the team and ground where he set the the tone in the first ever IPL, Kallis is too good not to play, be interesting to see who Gauti goes with for the other two slots, Shakib is no1 rated all rounder on the world at the moment, Narine burst onto the scene for T&T and he'll enjoy bowling at Eden gardens. Delhi batting looks really light minus KP, Warner and Mahela, ok Sehwag on song and Finch command respect in this format, other than that nothing really frightens me.

Re: Indian Premier League 2012 -6.00 after CSK capitulated yesterday. - 7pts Kolkata Knight Riders (vs. Delhi Daredevils) @ 4/5 [stanJames] Glad I got on KKR when I did. The price of 1.80 doesn't exist anymore and I can understand why. I don't really need to elaborate on Wongy above but the key players missing from Delhi don't really make them an attractive bet. KKR have a full squad to choose from and I mentioned in my outright on them the balance and talent they possess. Delhi without Mahela, Kevin Pietersen and David Warner don't really have the quality in midfield to cause this KKR bowling attack much trouble. Home side for me. - 5pts Total Sixes: Under 9.5 @ [Paddy Power] Eden Gardens has never really been an easy place to bat, especially in t20 format. A lot of away sides struggled here last year to make scores of 150+ mainly due to the slow and low nature of the deck. Kolkata have talent in their ranks and more importantly have a very canny bowling attack. Rajat Bhatia, Iqbal Abdulla and Sunil Narine will be very difficult to get away whilst the sheer experience of Brett Lee and co should count for something here. I guess the smart money would be to avoid sixes bets this early in the competition, especially with Mccullum, Pathan, Sehwag, Taylor and Finch all expected to line-up but I think I can exploit a slightly high line here. Unders for me.

Re: Indian Premier League 2012 Taking one. (2/10) 50 Scored? - 1st Innings - NO @ 2.25 with Paddy Power Delhi Daredevils have a weak batting line-up for this one, so if they go first I cannot see them scoring a 50 really, so this is more about going against the KKR batting line-up. Now, they have a strong batsmen who are capable of scoring 50s, but the ground is not exactly a paradise for batting and Delhi have a few bowlers that can do damage, especially with batsmen still unsettled in this format. This should be under evens imo, especially with the option of Delhi batting first well in play.

Re: Indian Premier League 2012 Was praying the rain stayed in Kolkata and play was going to get called off. Was never going to be good, especially when Gambhir lost he toss. Annoying start. Leaving the first match and going with one for the second: - 5pts Sixes Matchbet: Kings XI Punjab (vs. Rajasthan Royals) @ 11/10 [PaddyPower] I think Ladbrokes have more of the right idea in this market with KXIP being 1.57 over there. In Shaun Marsh, Adam Gilchrist, Paul Valtathy and David Hussey they have four natural hitters of the cricket ball. The first three smoked a mad amount of sixes last year and David Hussey just happens to be one of the highest burn scorers in t20 cricket history. Rajasthan are an unknown entity this year without the main man Warne about and Shane Watson missing at the top of the order. Their batting order doesn't really pose much six hitting potential. You'd expect Rahul Dravid to do the most of the work and won won't get that many there at all. Collingwood, Brad Hodge, Owais Shah and Ajinkya Rahane are all decent players but you wouldn't count on them clearing the ropes at will. I like Kings here, I actually fancy them for the match too. I'll take them to hit more DLF's.

Re: Indian Premier League 2012 Knew I should've trusted my gut and gone with Pune. No team should ever be 2/1 in any t20 game. Anyway, I was waiting for the toss here in Jaipur. Happy with the result. - 8pts Kings XI Punjab (vs. Rajasthan Royals) @ 4/5 [WillHill] Six out of seven matches here last year went to sides batting second. As soon as KXIP won the toss, the price on them caved and I'm more than willing to be on them at home here. They haven't made wholesale changes to their team from IPL4, Rajasthan have lost Ross Taylor, Shane Warne and Shane Watson. Nothing in their squad overly scares me here and I think I am happy to be on Kings quite strongly. A good few hours here and I'll be back to even.

Re: Indian Premier League 2012 Got greedy with Pune. Sixes bet would've sufficed. Minor, onto tomorrow's double-header: - 3pts Double: Bangalore (vs. Delhi Daredevils) x Chennai (vs. Deccan Chargers) @ 2.65 [stanJames] These two SHOULD win their respective games tomorrow. RCB haven't played yet but they should have too much for Delhi at home. I must admit, I was impressed with Delhi the other day against KKR. Having said that though, batting first in a shortened match was always going to be difficult for KKR and Delhi exploited that well. On a good pitch at Bangalore I see this being a battle of the two batting line-ups and that is where RCB excel. Gayle, Kohli and Dilshan will relish the pace provided form Varun Aaron and Morne Morkel up top. If they're none or one down after six overs then the game could be lost already for Delhi. Similarly I like what they've done with the addition of Murali. Him alongside Zaheer and Dan Vettori should be difficult to get away. RCB for me. Chennai should also deal with Deccan. Again I wasn't impressed with their performance the other day but their squad is way too talented to continue that vein of form. Deccan, in my eyes have the weakest squad man-for-man in the competition. Without Sanga as well their team lacks any real potency. Chennai all day here. - 5pts Sixes Matchbet: Chennai Super Kings (vs. Deccan Chargers) @ 10/11 [betVictor] You look at this Deccan batting line-up and you really don't see sixes. They were horrible at clearing the ropes last year and they haven't really strengthened in the off-season. They're without Ishant Sharma and Pragyan Ogha. Sanga is away and so too is Darren Bravo. Chennai are in bits after they're pitiful match the other day but sixes are never too far away with Raina, Bravo, Dhoni, Morkel, Jadeja and Ashwin as your middle order. Chennai here thanks. - 1pt Top Chennai Batsman: Albie Morkel @ 11/1 ew [Coral] I don't really think any middle order batsman should be 11/1 in a t20 match. Especially one that comes in at no.5 and can biff a long ball. If Chennai are going well after ten overs, Morkel could even get promoted to three or four to come and spank a quick 20 and that could be more than enough for a place here. Murali Vijay looked massively out of sorts the other day and Faf Du Plessis isn't an out and out opener. Any failings there and this 11/1 on Albie will become a sexy bet. I'll throw away 2pts to see how Albie fares. A place is good enough.

Re: Indian Premier League 2012 Chennai annoyingly held Albie back the other day. Minor though, -5.35 heading into the one game tomorrow. One for that: - 5pts Sixes Matchbet: Mumbai Indians (vs. Deccan Chargers) @ 10/11 [bluesq] I'm going to be looking to oppose Deccan in the sixes department quite a bit. There isn't that many sixes in that side at all and what I like more about this bet is how strong Mumbai's bowling attack seems to be. They restricted Chennai and Pune to scores of 130 in their two matches so far and generally speaking Malinga, Harbhajan, Munaf Patel and Pollard with his annoying medium pacers are going to be tough to get away. Especially in a side like Deccan's with no real pyrotechnical players. Mumbai on the other hand can see maximums from Rayudu, Sharma, Sachin if he wanted to and Dinesh Karthik. Not to mention Levi and Pollard in there too. Deccan let Chennai hit 11 against them two days ago, I don't think that will happen again but Mumbai should have enough to see them take this.

Re: Indian Premier League 2012 Deccan haven't hit eight sixes in an innings since IPL3. Rohit's heroics still couldn't tip Mumbai over the edge in terms of the sixes matchbet. The tie takes me down to -10.35 heading into the first match tomorrow: - 4pts Player Performance: Virat Kohli 31&Over @ 5/6 [bet365] I generally like to avoid player performance bets in this format of the game but I like this line. What I like about Kohli is the fact that he will near enough always contribute points in the field. He is probably up there with the likes of Pollard and co as the best fielders in the competition so he will always be at backward point in the first 6 or at long on/cow corner in the latter stages. Add to the fact that he is a top batsman and you should have 31 points.

Re: Indian Premier League 2012 Two for the second match: - 5pts Chennai Super Kings (vs. Delhi Daredevils) @ 10/11 [stanJames] I like the way Chennai performed against Deccan. They had all bases covered in that match and every player in their middle order contributed runs which is another positive. Their bowling is strong as ever too. Deccan could only muster 119 on a good pitch with Jadeja chipping in with 5 and Ashwin bowling 3 overs for 12. I sense more of the same tomorrow against a Delhi side I don't particularly rate. Of course it only takes a Sehwag massacre to make this game very interesting but his string of golden ducks at the moment plays right into anyone looking to back Chennai. Delhi won one match at home last season, I think Chennai will be running them close tomorrow afternoon. - 1pt Top Chennai Batsman: Ravindra Jadeja @ 12/1 ew [Coral] The annoying thing with Chennai is the fact that they shuffle their batting order quite a bit. Albie was 11's last time out but he didn't come out to play until no. 7 which meant him not getting a chance to swing. Jadeja came in at 5 last time out and top scored. The 12/1 on offer is surely too long on the $2m man here. Morne Morkel has been on fire lately. Murali Vijay doesn't know where he is. Faf du Plessis looked slightly uneasy the other day before he started seeing the ball better and clearing the ropes. If there are early breakthroughs tomorrow, the 12's on offer for Jadeja will become attractive. Dwayne Bravo came in and smashed 43 off 18 balls from no. 8 against Deccan. Jadeja has the ability to do the same so I will play with these odds to see how he fares. Place pays well too.

Re: Indian Premier League 2012 One bet for me in the opening match on Tuesday. 5pts Bangalore Most 6's vs Kolkata 4/5 Boylesports Even at 4/5 I think Bangalore are a good bet in the 6's match in this opening game of the day. Chris Gayle is expected to be back for the Royal Challengers and you wouldn't put it past him outscoring Kolkata in 6's on his own but in Kohli, de Villiers and Tiwary Bangalore have a few more natural big hitters who can clear the ropes whereas for Kolkata if all goes to plan then Jacques Kallis and Gautam Gambhir will be taking most of the deliveries and you wouldn't say either of those are natural six hitters. Two natural six hitters have been left out of the Kolkata side so far in Ten Doeschate and Morgan so there will be a lot on the shoulders of McCullum and Pathan to hit 6's if Kolkata are to keep up with Bangalore in the six hitting department. However it won't be easy to hit 6's from this Bangalore bowling attack. Vettori and Murali vary their pace and line and length to the extent they aren't easy to get away while Vinay Kumar and Zaheer Khan put the ball in the right places. For Kolkata Lee is solid but the rest of their attack can be attacked. If Gayle gets going this will be over inside 10 overs but even if he doesn't I think Bangalore have the firepower to bring this bet home hopefully with the minimum of fuss.

BRC vs KKR KKR to score over 158.5 runs @ 5/6 Bet365 Risky one with the way KKR batted last time out, however law of averages suggest the batting will lock eventually, shakib and tendo come in for McCullum and Narine, strengthens the batting with Lee slated to come in at 10. Not the biggest ground, should get good value for shots on a decent track, get above the rate in the first six overs, milk murali and vettori, and go for it at the back end hopefully witha few wkts in hand.
