thebigthing Posted March 12, 2012 Share Posted March 12, 2012 Fabio Capello says he does not want to succeed Claudio Ranieri as Inter coach and has denied holding talks with the Serie A club. Capello stood down as England manager last month and was immediately linked with several major clubs across Europe. Reports suggested he had met with Inter president Massimo Moratti, but the former Juventus and AC Milan coach has ruled out coaching the San Siro outfit. The 65-year-old also denied any interest in taking charge of the Italian national team, declaring: “That’s another fantasy – absolutely not.” Capello enjoyed two managerial stints at Inter’s city rivals Milan, winning four titles and one Champions League trophy with the club. When asked about Milan talisman Zlatan Ibrahimovic, a player he coached during his time in charge of Juventus, Capello said the Swede warrants comparison with club great Marco van Basten.
