Re: BBOTD Saturday 3rd of March

2.50 Lingfield Not the most inspiring Saturday card on the AW and this handicap isnt a great one but Dorothys Dancing looks a good bet although gutted to miss 5/2! Prigsnov Dancer won last time out, that was first run for over a year and that wasnt a strong race at all, 6lb rise in the weights and a quick run after that could be a tough ask and wouldnt appeal as an obvious follow up job. Mandys Hero has fallen to 14lb below last handicap winning mark but has failed to beat a rival in nearly every start since. Good Timin is yet to win and failed to backup 2 creditable efforts previously last time out when disappointing back in the field at Wolves over this trip off a 3lb higher mark, doesnt look the easiest ride in the world doesnt travel very well and just looks lack lustre at times. Deveeze has found some form in blinkers this winter at a low level, he can often race a little keen but one of his better efforts last time out, crept back up the handicap again may just find 1 or 2 too good again. Porthgwidden Beach isnt the most consistent nor is he proving easy to win with lately, well suited to the way the race was run last time out so perhaps ought to have done better and on that form Deveeze ought to have the beating of him again. Slatey Hen finished 2.25 lengths behind Dorothys Dancing last time out and although 5lb better off today will need to return to something like her best to defy her in her current mood. Dorothys Dancing often races fairly keenly and if she can settle she could easily defy a 4lb rise having won more comfortably than winning margin suggests, she is a 2 times CD winner in handicaps at this time of year last year and although this mark requires a career best this is a weak race for the taking with the form of her win taking too boosts this week with Kipchak winning and Metropolitian Chief catching the eye as an unlucky unplaced horse earlier in the week! 1pt win Dororthys Dancing 15/8 vc
