All I've heard is that Meryl Streep was incredible in her portrayal of Thatcher, and another 2 horse race it seems. 2.60 at Betfair seems quite generous to me and as low as 2.10 with Paddys! Will the Yanks have bought into it though, do they have that much interest in a portrayal of a Prime Minister from our shores? The Help is a sickly sweet film about race that the Americans will be falling over themselves for. Viola Davis worthy fav for me, great film, good performance but the supporting actress was even better and she'll win that award (Octavia Spencer) without a doubt but is 1-20 to do so. The Artist is going to clean up, if it doesn't win between 3-4 awards I'll be surprised.

I ended up backing Meryl Streep due to other awards she had already won but also went with Clooney over Dujardin despite the huge drift.
