Re: Stobart Super League XVII Round 2 & NR Cup 10-12 Feb Sticking with my anytime scorer bet and backing James Roby to go over, he had a huge game last weekend picking up a try and making plenty of breaks from dummy half. Salford will be missing Wayne Godwin who'll be a great loss to Salfords play around the ruck. If Roby exploits the gaps like last week he'll go over and the -24 won't be a huge ask of Saints. Can't resist the price on offer for him to go over first. Will be keeping my eye on Joel Moon who I tipped last week, he will go in a few times this season but maybe not today. James Roby anytime try scorer 13/8 @Skybet James Roby first try scorer 20/1 @Ladbrokes

Re: Stobart Super League XVII Round 2 & NR Cup 10-12 Feb A couple of early ones for me for the TV match on Saturday. It should be a cracker if the Cup final last year is anything to go by. 4pts Leeds to beat Wigan 13/8 Ladbrokes I said before the season began that I don't see Wigan being as strong as they were last season or the one before that and having seen the highlights of their defeat to Huddersfield last week I definitely don't. I think we will see a lot more consistency for Leeds this term and I would fancy the Rhinos strongly to win this. One of the reasons why I fancy the Rhinos to win this is Wigan are missing a couple of important players in George Carmont and Liam Farrell while the leaders in the side in the likes of Deacon and Coley have retired now. Carmont and Farrell look like being replaced with youngsters for whom this will be a very big night. Leeds are set to come into the match with the same line up which put Hull KR to the sword eventually last week. Ben Jones-Bishop couldn't get in the side for that game and the form of the Leeds backs will keep him out of this match. The Rhinos look solid to me and as long as they don't cast too much attention to the World Club Challenge on Friday night then I would expect a Rhinos win here. Leeds had 48hrs extra recovery time from the week one matches and that can give them another boost coming into this match. I think the Rhinos will follow in the Giants' footsteps and leave the DW Stadium with the points in this potentially bruising encounter. 3pts K.Watkins Anytime Tryscorer 11/10 Blue Square Having seen the success Ronnie is having in this market I thought I would follow his lead and have a go at one myself. Kallum Watkins is an exceptionally talented Rugby League player for whom injuries haven't been particularly kind but he showed his worth last week when he bagged a hat trick in the win over Hull KR. What I like about his chances of crossing the whitewash in this match is that Wigan's usual direct opposite centre George Carmont is missing in this match so it's either going to be a youngster up against Watkins or someone playing in a position which isn't their natural position but filling in to do a job for the side. Leeds will attack this wing a lot I think if for nothing else than to make Richards have to bring the ball off his own goal line all the time and tire him out. With the form Watkins showed last week I'm happy to take him at odds against to bag a try here given Wigan's lack of natural centre to oppose him.

Re: Stobart Super League XVII Round 2 & NR Cup 10-12 Feb Must say Kev that's a better price than I thought Watkins would be (must be the away factor), and I did have him in mind following his hat trick last week. I decided to go with Brent Webb instead though, he also scored last week and is always an attacking threat, scored at the DW stadium last year and as Kev say's Wigan defence is hit, Carmont is a player I like and they'll miss him a lot in defence and going forward. Brent Webb anytime try scorer 15/8 @ Skybet

Re: Stobart Super League XVII Round 2 & NR Cup 10-12 Feb Leeds were crap and never showed up at all really :sad. One for this afternoon. Apologies for the short notice. Wanted to make sure the matches were going ahead before I looked into them. 4pts Warrington vs London Broncos - Over 50.5pts 5/6 Ladbrokes All Broncos fans will know trips to Warrington can be pretty daunting experiences for the London side and it will still be in the memory of most connected with the club that on their last visit they were gubbed 82-6. In the reverse fixture last season Warrington won 54-24 so it's clear to see that the Wolves like playing against the side from the capital. I expect London to be a lot stronger this season and I think the Broncos will stay closer although admittedly the last two thrashings have stopped me taking the +22 on the Broncos. With the likes of Dorn, Howell, Witt and Gower in their side the Broncos are set up to score points but they can also concede them too. London put up 24 on a decent enough Saints defence last week and I expect them to score here too. Warrington were a bit slack last week but will come on for the run and they have some devastating attacking personnel in their ranks who are sure to breach this Broncos line their fair share of times. If Warrington really get on a roll they could cover this total on their own but I wouldn't be surprised to see London go over for 4-5 tries as well. I think this will be a high scoring, almost shootout type game and one which I think will contain over 50pts.
