Re: Brazilian State league championships 2012 Novo Hamburgo RS - Internacional 22:30CET Novo Hamburgo is a team who have some tradition in Gaucho state, but never made big things, on the other hand International is one of the favourites to win the trophy and with this very strong squad with Dagoberto up in front (He signed from Sao Paulo and will play as starter tonight) I don´t belive that Novo Hamburgo will not get anything from this opening game. International probable line up: Muriel; Nei, Rodrigo Moledo, Kleber; Guiñazu, Josimar, Oscar, João Paulo and Dagoberto; Leandro Damião Internacional -0.75 AH @1.95 bet365 4/10

Re: Brazilian State league championships 2012 Esporte Clube Bahia v Alagoinhas Atlético Clube (Campeonato Baiano 1st Division) 23:30CET Bahia is one of the favourites to win this trophy after 11 years without title in this state competition. With some great signings this year, such as midfielders Morais and Jefersson and very good striker Ciro Bahia is much stronger then the last season. I belive in good start for home side and victory ofcource. Probable Bahia line up: Marcelo Lomba; Boiadeiro, Diego Jussani, Danny Morais, William Matheus; Fahel, Fabinho, Lulinha, Morais and Gabriel; Júnior. Manager: Joel Santana. Bahia Home win @1.55 betfair 3/10

Re: Brazilian State league championships 2012 Bagzi, I would like to make you a question, could you tell me please, how do you see the victory of the last Champion of serie B and that played well (Portuguesa) versus a team that I don't know (Paulista)? Thanks for your help

Re: Brazilian State league championships 2012 Boavista SC - Duque de Caxias 20:00CET Well, first game here in Carioca state division, i must go with Boavista, they are good side for years in this competition expecially when playing at home ground. Duque isn´t anything special and will have hard time in this division, they are without many fans, money, etc... I think i made right decision for this bet, it is start I know but anything exept good Boavista win will be big surprice to me. Boavista SC -0.75AH @1.89 pinnacle 4/10

Re: Brazilian State league championships 2012 Portugesa - Paulista FC 20:00CET Another good bet i think, as Portugesa has shown their powers through all serie B season and even now they are doing miracles, the last match they had against Serie A champion Coprinthians in front of huge Coprintianio crowd and beat them by 1-0, their play were realy impressive. I belive that against Paulista they can do the same, even better. Portugesa (-0.75) AH @1.72 sbobet 5/10

Re: Brazilian State league championships 2012 Another good bet that keeps my ming on is Ituano to beat -0.25 line against Guarantigueta. Ituano board made some very good signings for this competition, 15 players were signed, names such as striker Evando, ex-Ponte Preta and Fluminense and midfielder Jefferson Luiz, ex-Guarani are two that must be mentioned. Guarantigueta is on mediocre level this season, no hit names and i think they will have hard time expecially at the begining of the season. Ituano -0.25 AH @2.01 188bet 2/10

Re: Brazilian State league championships 2012 Well, not the best of starts, but go go go;) Sao Paulo - Botafogo SP In my opinion -1.25 line for home side is a little high, ye home side is strong in all positions but they will not play with some important players tonight, mixed line up is expected so I will try to put my money on the guests, as Botafogo SP were team very hard to beat in recent years in this competition. Botafogo +1.5 AH @1.81 pinnacle 2/10 Bragantino - Palmeiras Another bet for me as i find home side can get something from this duel, +0.25 line is ok and odds around @1.80 are acceptable. Bragantino will have great support of their fans, more then 10.000 is expected which is very good number in this competition. Home side is little stronger then in past years as they brought some good and experiensed players, goalkepeer Rafael on loan fron Corinthians, midfielder Fernando Gabriel and forward Giancalo (signed from Parana) will also debut tonight. Palmeiras will be without manager Luis Felipe Scolari (suspended for 3 games because public criticizing referee Paulo César de Oliveira), mixed line up is expected also, as some players are not fit yet or they are injured (Luan) Bragantino +0.25 AH @1.80 188bet 4/10

Re: Brazilian State league championships 2012 Catanduvense - Mogi Mirim Both sides on the same level, home team will have great support their fans so i belive they have right to belive in positive outcome. Debutantes will do anything to start this season in good manner. I think that oponnent is just fair. Mogi signed over 20 players but without any big names, from serie B lower teams are all of them. I was thinking odds of around 8.0 seemed too high for Botafogo. I checked, and they have lost their last five away games (in Serie A, not the Paulista). When I have seen them, they have quite impressed me, as a side with quite a bit of threat in attack, and I don't think the gap between them and Sao Paolo is a great as the odds suggest.

Re: Brazilian State league championships 2012 Result: Sao Paolo 4 Botafogo SP 0 I saw a lot of the game, and there was only ever one team in it. Botafogo SP rarely looked like scoring, and Botafogo threatened constantly in the first half, and then again in the last 15 minutes. Superb value on Sao Paolo in hindsight (but it's always easy in hindsight of course).

Er - I don't think I made a pick did I? I commented that I thought Botafogo SP were good value against Sao Paolo, and then realised I had got the wrong Botafogo SP. Then, watching the game, I said that Sao Paolo were outclassing Botafogo SP. Anyway ... having seen Sao Paolo win 4-0 on Sunday, I was looking at their next game which is today (Wednesday 25th January). They are playing away at Oeste, who are in Serie D. http://uk.soccerway.com/teams/brazil/oeste-futebol-club/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oeste_Futebol_Clube On the face of it, odds of 1.66 for Sao Paolo to win this game seem quite generous. Does anyone know about Oeste - for example, how do they compare with Botafogo SP?

Yeah, that's Sao Paolo's first team - the same one that played on Sunday I think - top players like Fabiano. I've put a small bet Sao Paolo. But without local knowledge of their opponents, it's hard to be confident. From what I know at the moment, Sao Paolo should certainly win by a few goals. The Brazilian commentator on Sunday was saying that he was impressed with Sao Paolo and they looked a better team than last season.
