Re: England > Weekend > Northern, Southern & Ryman Prem Jan 14 Chorley away at Frickley Athletic (4/5 Bet365) Two crisis clubs, of sorts, but Chorley's worries are off the pitch rather than on it, and they should have enough for a depleted Frickley side that has one point from a possible 24. St Albans City away at Redditch United (7/5 Bet365, Paddy Power) St Albans are playing well - much better than their hosts - and sometimes that translates to points. I think Redditch are going in the right direction, but they lack the experience of a lively St Albans who are ones to watch next year. Ashton United at home to Stocksbridge Park Steels (11/10 Bet365) SPS still feel a little transitional to me, and even the signing of Alex Callery - a bit short of his best this season - won't help. Ashton are organised enough and have sufficient firepower to see off the visitors, who've managed just one clean sheet on the road all season. Matlock Town away at Chasetown (13/8 Bet365, Coral) Two clubs well out of sorts, but Matlock are due an uptick, I think, and certainly have been playing better than results suggest. Chasetown have been poor since the turn of the year and have failed to capitalise on a run of good form.

Re: England > Weekend > Northern, Southern & Ryman Prem Jan 14 Lewes v Kingstonian Surprising news came out of Lewes this week when manager Steve King was suspended by the club. No reason has been forthcoming as of yet but it’s hardly a good situation for the club to be in going into a game on Saturday. The home side haven’t been that convincing of late in the Ryman Premier, even when they were winning games. They have failed to win in three now and that included a shock draw against bottom of the table Horsham (they only have 10 points). Kingstonian have been pretty inconsistent for most of the season but aren’t doing too badly at the moment with only two defeats in the last eight and look a bit more stable than previously. They have got a decent enough team and on their day are capable of giving anyone in the league a game. Given Lewes’ dip in form and King’s suspension I think the 11/4 (general) on an away win looks on the large side.
