Re: Tennis 8th-15th Jan Sydney/ Hobart

nice odds it was:cigar +8,35 units ---------- for today's card i m with stepanek against niemminen-i ve seen stepanek in brisbane and i believe he is cabable for more than what his ranking shows (31).their h2h in hard is 3-1 for him and i expect him to fly easily tonight.besides it is clear if you read often this thread that Chechs know tennis quite a lot ;) and deserve all the trust of the world R. Stepanek (-2.5) vs J. Nieminen @ 1,901 pinnacle (7/10)
it seems like Stepanek just gave up in the 3rd set anyway -7units total +1,35 there is a match i fancy this morning G. Monfils vs A. Roddick @ 2,30 pinnacle (3/10) The american needs to make a comeback and against the unstable Monfils is the best option for that.their h2h is 3-1 for rodick in hard.definetely i cannot price monfils below 1,85 for that so...

Re: Tennis 8th-15th Jan Sydney/ Hobart

Fernando Verdasco-Carlos Berlocq OVER 20.5 games @4/5 BET 365 STRENGTH (6/10) Feel this line is a little low. Berlocq is a lower level clay phenomenon, who went on a ridiculous run at the back end of last season beating everyone in sight. It's fair to say he's not at his best on the hard courts but he can still put the heebie jeebies on the best of them (bar that beatdown against Novak at the US Open) and has taken sets off and beaten some very good players, especially in the last year or two as his game has reached a new maturity. Pushed Berdych very hard in Miami and beat Gulbis. The key here though is the utter mediocrity of Fernando Verdasco, who has just spent the last year or so in a trance it seems, winning the odd good match, but in general looking extremely lacklustre. He very rarely puts players away easily these days, and while he will most likely take care of Berlocq, I fancy him to stutter to victory. An up and downer of a three setter wouldn't surprise. :hope
WIN. The commentators seemed shocked that Verdasco was garbage. Where have they been for the last year?

Re: Tennis 8th-15th Jan

This is becoming tougher with each day. Normal stakes everywhere once again, but I reckon there is value in everything here. Good days are usually followed by bad days (like 0-5 alright), so take care. I am in for another lollercoaster though. Again, you have been warned. Garcia-Lopez to beat Mannarino @ 2.62 with bet365 Ok, Mannarino beat Anderson. Big deal. Apparently that means that he deserves to be priced at around 1.60 against someone who has achieved much more than him and who is twenty places above him. Not jumping on that wagon. I mean look - that guy is still losing to the likes of Zopp, Andreev or Rosol! Nieminen to beat Stepanek @ 2.35 with Pinnacle Something is not right here and I am willing to find out. In fact, I want to find out. That match in Brisbane was pretty close imo, the result was misleading. Since then, Stepanek got injured and nearly lost to Malisse. Nieminen 4 easy wins against crap players. Phew, 2.35? Sign me in.
Some great picks Czech, done Nieminen & GGL and threw in the over 21.5 games in the Radwanska-Wozniacki game for a nice wee lift. Keep them coming m8!

Re: Tennis 8th-15th Jan Andy Roddick vs Tomas Berdych Do you believe Roddcik will still remain with no win this year after he meets a player that won against 6 times and lost 3 with 4 wins in last 5 matches? No 7 Berdych against no 16 Roddick, but Andy is going to win this one. Showed that he is in form against a player that has a top form, Monfils, losing in 2 sets in tiebreak. Expect Roddick to come up here with a win! Roddick @ 2.25 with Pinnacle Sports Ferrer vs Falla Great odds here and as I have seen this morning against Rosol, Ferrer wants everything from a match. Mainly he defends well, he is the kind of a guy that always keeps you in the back of the court no matter how hard is the ball he tries to play with force. Had 40% of the returns won against a guy that had 79% of the first serve points won!!! (Many unforced errors for Rosol). Falla against Starace had 7 break chances and won 3, made 1 double fault and 2 aces. Have to go with this one!!! Under 19.5 games @ 1.87 with unibet

Re: Tennis 8th-15th Jan Just looking back through the thread. Some unbelievable calls from Czech. It's one thing thinking that the likes of Rochus can win, but another actually betting on them. All close games though, bet they weren't good for the heart! Unlucky for IAG on Wozniacki. If it wasn't for the wrist injury Radwanska would've most likely buckled under pressure again. Fishy won more than he lost as well it seems.:ok

Re: Tennis 8th-15th Jan (3/10) Kerber -4 games tb. Cirstea @ 1.90 Betsson Kerber playing great the last 2 weeks and have more quality then Cirstea. Kerber had 2 easy wins in the first two rounds and i think this is another one. (3/10) Marti tb. Heliovaara @ 2.25 Stan James I don't now why Marti is the underdog in this match. Marti playing good tennis the last weeks of last year with a 3 set loss against Tsonga. Heliovaara only play against unknows. I think that the odd is a little bit high for this surface, Marti like clay at most but i think he can win this match against the other youngster.

Re: Tennis 8th-15th Jan Verdasco vs Guillermo Garcia - Lopez Verdasco had a lot to deal with Carlos Berlocq 7-5, 7-6. His game play is shocking. Garcia-Lopez won against in form Mannarino having a good serve and good returning shots. Expect a surprise here, for me shouldn't be. Verdasco will have a lot to work here and I think Guillermo can send the man where he belongs! Garcia-Lopez @ 3.05 with betsson Rochus vs Paire Two Frenchmen here that are knowing each other for so long. It is a not easy at all to be so little as Rochus and win against a guy like Bellucci, or to play very good against Del Porto, thar are 30 cm taller than you ... Rochus plays very well on returning and on the second serve. With Belucci that served 17 aces!!! Olivier won 74% of the points served with the second serve! Offered just 3 chances of break! Paire managed to come from a 0-1 to win 2-1, but now will have a different challenge. he will be teased by this Rochus that will be very tenacious and will held on every point! No chances for Paire! Rochus to win @ 2.36 with Pinnacle Sports

Re: Tennis 8th-15th Jan Yeah, some cracking calls from Czech again and others./ 1/2 for me this morning, it's threatening to go well for me but things are just not falling atm. Kvitova battered Hantuchova as expected, but that slutbag Wozniacki let me down, served for the match at 6-3 5-4, but eventually lost in 3....:@

Re: Tennis 8th-15th Jan Yeah some really good shouts in the thread which is good to see. Czech, Slider and that old maestro IAG chipping in as well which is good to see. 3/5 last night on the qualifiers, slightly disappointed as Brzezicki had chances throughout the match but narrowly lost in 2 tie breaks. Phau and Capkovic won well though and would have been really annoyed if Dustov didn't win as he virtually threw away the first set. +2 in total which takes me to +6.00 for the week. I'll have a look through the qualifiers later to see if there's anything about.

Re: Tennis 8th-15th Jan Hi guys , I've really been checking up this forum for a while now ,and I have to say ,great community ,and great tipsters.I've decided to contribute here as well with a few tennis tips ,hopefully succesfull ones . So here it goes. First game that caches my attention is a doubles one ,in Auckland between the austrian doubles Marach/Peya vs. spaniards Verdasco/G.G.L.The austrian players ranked 17th and 18th in the world are the first seeded pair in New Zealand and have defeated in the first round another spanish pair ,Ferrer/Montanes ,in a fashionable manner 6-2 ,6-4, breaking serve 4 times and haveing been broken once in 9 service games. In fact it was the only break point they faced.Verdasco/G.G.L. dispatched in a easy manner the south-american pair Bellucci/Giraldo 6-0,6-3 but they're no doubles specialist as you well know.In fact the spanish pair will be playing each other in the singles draw earliear ,and although doubles games are not as solicitating as the ones in the singles , I don't think either of the spaniards wishes to extend their run in the doubles draw and face more fatigue ,espescially with the AO around the corner. On the other hand I'm positive that the austrians will like to get some games under their belts ,having played only one game previos to their victory here,in Brisbane where they lost to Paul Hanley/Jamie Murray. So I'm going for Marach/Peya to win here ,at 1,83 with WilliamHill with 8/10 stake. Good luck ,and I hope I haven't made any errors with my post .If I have feel free to correct me ,as I am new in the process of learning how things work with posts here.

Re: Tennis 8th-15th Jan Yanina Wickmayer -3.5 to beat Simona Halep @ 8/11 BET 365 (Strength 6/10) A tad risky betting on Wickmayer these days as you never quite know what you're going to get with her (her loss against Errani last week being a prime example), however she looks to be serving well again this week and with a days rest hopefully she will come out firing again. She leads the head-to-head 2-0 and those have been comprehensive victories as well; 6-3 6-2 and 6-0 6-2(on hard court, like this match), so there is obviously something about Halep's game that she enjoys. The Romanian is very flakey, and as such I'm not going to read too much into her comfortable victory over Begu in the last round. Overall she hasn't really changed much since these two last played exactly a year ago. Neither have really, so a comfortable Wickmayer victory looks to be on the cards. :hope

Re: Tennis 8th-15th Jan Always nice to see the thread this active. Having some today as well, gonna be another tough night for my nerves. This time with live streams, which makes things even worse :\ Almagro to beat Kohlschreiber @ 1.77 with Pinnacle One of the few favourites I am willing to actually back, as I think that Kolschreiber is already past his prime and I was not overly impressed by his performance against Harrison. Almagro dealt with Giraldo surprisingly well and he is defending the semis here, so should be motivated enough. Won the two last meetings pretty comfortably too. Rochus to beat Paire @ 2.46 with Pinnacle I know Paire has been demolishing my bankroll and my successes, but Rochus has been fine for me over the last couple of days and I am willing to back him once again. It really is a showdown time. Basically, this is worse match-up than Chela and Paire should have lost that, so going with the Belgian, who leads the H2H 2-0 as well. I still think that Paire is riding his luck big time here. Garcia-Lopez (+3.5) to beat Verdasco @ 1.80 with Pinnacle My heart says no but my head says yes and I guess that you have to go with head when it comes to betting. We all know that Verdasco is hugely overrated right now and struggled even against Mr. Berlocq, so GGL should be in with a shout here. However, what swayed me was the H2H. 4 matches, the line covered three times. Happy with just three this time.

Re: Tennis 8th-15th Jan

Sport Tennis
Event Grega Zemlja - Denis Gremelmayr
Selection Grega Zemlja
Strength 10/10
Date 11/01/2012
Bookmaker/Price Betsson @ 1.72
Reasoning In the first round of the Australian Open qualifiers (mens) righty Grega Zemlja from Slovenia will take on lefty Denis Gremelmayr from Germany for the first time in his career. Zemlja is currently ranked 110th in the world, his best so far, a player who prefers clay but doesn`t really deny hardcourt either where he has a positive career record. He finished last season with 21-15 on hard with a title and other decent resunts in the challenger circuit. This is his 2nd tournament of the season, he first went to Doha where he also played qualifiers, beating Kavchuk, Meffert and Huta, followed by Bubka in the first round and inevitably losing to the former world number 1, Roger Federer in the 2nd in straight set. On the other side Gremelmayr is currently ranked 170 in the world, reaching a career high 59th in 2008, the year that started his descent. Although he has more games played then Zemlja on hard he finished 2011 with just 7-7 record with no important result at all. Just like Zemlja he played in Doha where he beat decent players like Chiudinelli, Ilhan and Schuettler in the qualifiers, followed by Starace in the first, failing to pose any threat at all to another lefty, Rafael Nadal against which he lost 2-6, 2-6. Although Denis has clearly beaten better players then the slovenian so far this season, I for one am not convinced because he hasn`t really done something on hard from the 2008, like I said when he had a good run at Los Angeles where he beat strong players like, Fognini, Lopez and Safin. My pick is on Grega Zemlja who in the last 3 seasons has exchanged less claycourt tournaments for more hardcourt (outdoors) and could profit from the wild and inconsistent playing style of Gremelmayr.

Re: Tennis 8th-15th Jan

Event Haas T. - Dolgopolov A.
Selection Dolgopolov A.
Strength 10/10
Date 12/01/2012
Bookmaker/Price Unibet @ 1.70
Reasoning Pretty nice odds for the world number 14 in ATP rankings against world number 190. Tommy Haas is almost 34 years old he played two matches in past two days so he will be very tired today. Haas failed against Llodra and Wawrinka in straight sets can't see him taking this match against so strong player as the Ukrainian. Dolgopolov also failed in straight sets agiainst other two in that group but he is ten years younger and hold far better place in rankings. The Ukrainian has good serving and very good backhand, he can return each ball covering all over the court, while Haas will be out of fit with his 33 years and 8 months old.

Re: Tennis 8th-15th Jan

Last picks for today. (2/10) Rochus tb. Paire @ 2.45 5Dimes (3/10) Almagro tb. Kohlschreiber @ 1.77 5Dimes (4/10) Del Potro -3.5 games tb. Baghdatis @ 1.83 Bwin (6/10) Tsonga tb. Nishikori @ 1.44 Unibet EDIT: ADDED: (4/10) Dolgopolov tb. Haas @ 1.70 Unibet
Friendly advice: don't bet on Almagro on hard courts, he is an utter idiot who has no idea how to play on such a surface just like Bellucci although they both have the weapons to be good hard court players. I won a medium-stake bet on Kolschreiber to win, saw the first couple of games and was convinced the german would be the winner. Just after i placed my bet Kohlschreiber started playing rubbish, in fact he played rubbish the entire match, Almagro should have easily won, in the first set never gave away a break point and i believe had in almost every service game 30-15 up on the german's serve. Didn't manage to break and in the tie-break was up twice and lost the set on the very first set point against him which was on his serve. In the second set again, same scenario, the german service always under pressure, Almagro had no problem holding his serve until he was under pressure for the first time at 5-4 for Kohli, sent 3 balls out wide to be down 15-40, saved one and then double faulted away the match. What more is there to say?
