The home team find themselves in 2nd place despite losing 3-4 in OT to Fehervar in the last round while Klgenfurt beat the Capitals 5-4 on their home ice to book a ticket for the play offs. I already spoke about the home ice in Zagreb: Medvescak is playing a stint of games not on their home ice in Dom sportova, but in the Zagreb Arena. The players are not satisfied with this change as the rink is smaller and visibility is not tha best either. With the great Kisatan in goal Medvescak will concede very few goals on the small rink but will have trouble scoring themselves.In addition the coach already announced that he will give fringe players more ice time so the starters can get some much needed rest before the play offs begin. you got it wrong, they met three times this season (after checking, thought they met only twice so far), and Rodovre won both away games, while Hawks won one on Rodovre ice - the one that slipped away from me.

Now they face Timra who are already practically out of any chances for po and will have to play in their play off for staying in Eliteserien. Again Erikson best goalie, today he will face Riderwal or Lundstrom who are not the bright stars. Anyway, its also a game in which guest have all to play - win will get them on points with leader Brynas, while Timra already 15 pts behind Modo - salavation from relegatrion duels. They are on a way back, and before lost game against also in form Plzen they were playing good hockey and won 3 in a row. In last game, they did not play badly, which is evident also from SOG which was 42-36 for Plzen, but backup goalie Vosvrda was having awful game and he didnt get a change after conceeding 4 in first quarter. Today first gk Marek (93,3% SP) should play as he is rested and it seems it was a tactical move from Liberec coach and he wants points today. Both have no major worries with injuries, the most noticable is missing of defender Hrabal for Trinec. I must note that hosts are one of worst at home with only 8 wins in regualtion. I believe Liberec can win today and to get them on + hcp is crazy, A must bet imo. HC Mountfield Ceske Budejovice 0 @ 1.85 Pinnacle To start with team news, no bigger on newer injuries, so teams will continue as before, but looking at performances Budejovice are better, they are playing better hockey and heve much more firepower than Boleslav, who are amongst worst offensive teams in league. Home team also without any chances for getting to places that guarantee worry free off season and they relay just too much on the goalkeepers, who i must add, were brilliant lately. Both Valent and Hulbl are playing excellent and this is probalby only worry about this bet. On the other hand Wolfsburg is still going strong, 5th in the league and now on a 4-game winning streak, last time in Koln when they beat the Sharks, 6-3. Looking at last season Berlin was winning all 7 encounters against Wolfsburg, but things have chanced a bit, but not in the manner so that Eisbaren couldn`t still be on top because they are best in the league at the moment. Counting the fact that Wolfsburg aren`t at their best when on road this season, winning just 8 out of 18 with just 54:52 goals and meeting the Eisbaren for the first time at O2 World who are at their best at home with 9-4-0-3 record and +30 goals (66:36), I think they have a chance that they can get payback from the 2-5 from the first meeting of the season between the two at EisArena Wolfsburg. My pick in this one is for the Eisbaren Berlin to win it clearly, by 2 more goals.

Reasoning	This should be an interesting one with top 2 teams in the league Sparta Prague and Plzen clashing forces for the 4th time this season. Sparta is leading the league with 81 points with a very good 4-game winning streak, last time in the Prague derby at Slavia where they won it 2-1. On the other side, Plzen is close, 2nd with 80, going on a extraordinary 12-game winning streak, last time beating Liberec on home ice 10-4. This should be interesting to see because despite de fact that Plzen is best in the league in home games (with a weeker record on road) they have now won 5 straight and even though Sparta is best in the league in road games (with a weeker record on home ice) they have now won 5 straight as well. The confidence with surely be with bot teams but I think Sparta has an edge in this one and that is the suporters and maby that they have won 2 times in 3 meetings so far this season against Plzen, last time when they played here at Tesla Arena the Prague team won it 4-1 even without an empty net. I believe that in this 5-game winning streak that Plzen is on on road isn`t that impressive because they won against if not modest, maby against average teams (Brno, Budejovice, Trinec, Kladno, Pardubice). This should be definitely a bigger challege for Plzen who will have maby the strongest opponent in the league on their hands. My pick is for the Sparta Prague to win it clearly in this one, by 2 or more goals and snap the Plzen winning streak.

Skelleftea is now having a very good season and confirming that by leading the league with 69 points, following 2 straight losses with their 2nd win in a row at Timra by 6-2. Reasoning	Win with at least two goals difference for the home team is my call here. Bofors is currently on second place of the table, six points behind the leaders Orebro. Bofors is playing incredible at home so far this season, haing only one defeat from nineteen games in the league (two of the wins were after over time). The only defeat was exactly against the leaders Orebro in their second home game of the season. In six of their last eight games infront of their fans Bofors won with two or more goals difference and today I think the result will be the same. Oskarshamn played incredible hockey in December, winning six of the right games they played that month. But now in the last four games the team is plating like they used to at the start of the season and Oskarshamn won only one game (after over time) from the last four. The team have six wins and twelve defeats away from home this season. In nine of those twelve defeats Oskarshamn lost with two or more goals difference. Bofors have seven wins in a row against Oskarshamn at home and in six of those games the win was with two or more goals difference.

Reasoning	For my 2nd pick of the day I will go in the same league, Elitserien, but this time at Scandinavium Arena where Brynas will head to face the Frolunda Indians for the 4th time this season. So far the series is led by Frolunda 2-1 winning once on road, 2-0 and one at home, 5-1, while Brynas took the last, 4-3 on home ice. Frolunda, 13-5-8-12, 5th in the league is starting to get in dangerous teritory after letting the guard down, now with teams like Modo, AIK and Djurgardens close to 1 and 2 points of kicking them out of the playoff position. In the previous round they were losing their 2nd straight, at home against AIK, 1-2 after overtime. For this meeting the hosts will get back players from the injury list, Tol along with Lundqvist and Kahnberg, while Lasu is still missing. On the other side, Brynas, 19-4-3-12, 2nd in the league showing a good form lately, losing just once in the last six games, on a 3-game winning streak, last time with a success at Lulea by 3-1. Brynas will miss players like Lauritzen, Dackell, Holmqvist, Sundqvist and Lavander for this road game. Despite the week form of the Indians (just 3 wins in the last 10 games), they have managed to have a streak of 4 games where they got points and most importantly they regain some confidence by winning 2 of their last 3 at Scandinavium Arena. This time I`m going to count on that to beat Brynas who although is 2nd best in road games in the league, is still just +2 in goals (53:51). I will bet for Frolunda to snap out of this slump and beat Brynas clearly, profiting from the opponents misses in the roster.

Reasoning	With 16 rounds remaining from the Elitserien regular season teams will most definitely would like to secure a place in the playoff. Two of these teams who are in a battle for such spot will meet today at Cloetta Center, and that is Linkopings (6 points from the playoff zone) and Djurgardens (1 point from the playoff zone). Despite of the Linkopings having a decent roster they are just 11th in the league after 39 games, snapping last time a 3-game losing streak with a win at home against Modo by 7-2, just hoping that it`s not to little to late. Just like in the last round they will miss Hakanson and Ottosson. On the other side Djurgarden is in the same situation, just a little closer to the zone, 9th coming from a win as well which snapped a 2-game losing streak but against the very modest Timra, 3-0. For this road game Djurgardens will miss Olvestad, Tjarnqvist, Zibanejad, BOumedienne and Nilson. Surprisingly Djurgardens has won all previous three encounters of this season (4-1 and 3-1 at home and 3-2OT on road), extending the winning streak against Linkopings to 5 in a row but now I believe the situation will be different as Linkopings has noticed a change in results at home arena, winning 3 of their last 4 games plaed at Cloetta (all by 2 or more goals) while the team of Djurgardens, now with quite a hole in the roster have lost 3 of their last 4 road games (all by 2 or more goals). Counting these facts I am sure that Linkopings wouldn`t like to share not even 1 point to the away team and get the whole 3 key points. My pick in this one is for the Linkopings to win it by 2 or more goals.
