Re: England > Weekend > BlueSQ Bet Prem Jan 1 Darlington 0 VS 1 Gateshead (FT) I heard some brother here talking that Darlington team player failed to get thier salary , With this useful news , seems Gateshead having a high advantage because of thier this years away record . in past 2 game record when the both meet , 1 game draw 1 game darlington win by 1 goal . but tonight it seems that darlington have internal problem will help out Gateshead alot to get this 3 point and also both team is good on scoring , so over seems a good choice as well Gateshead 0 handicap (12Bet) :clap Win Over 2.25 (12Bet) :clap LOSE

Re: England > Weekend > BlueSQ Bet Prem Jan 1

I don't know what game superimp was at but it certainly wasn't the one I was at... First half Grimsby were dreadful but bar one decent save Lincoln never looked like scoring until out defensive mix up. We won't have another half like the first 45 today and in Hearn up front we have got the stand out forward in the division. Although priced a little short take Grimsby to win at home.
I've seen mixed reports of the Boxing Day game (Lincoln 1 Grimsby 2), but overall it seems to have been fairly close - in that either side could have won, and Lincoln don't seem to have been outclassed, although by all accounts Grimsby are a better side. Blue Sq site report: http://www.bluesqfootball.com/story/0,20970,13061_7396952,00.html BBC report http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_conf/16240445.stm Taking this into account, and that it's a local derby with quite a bit more pressure on the home side, I think the price on Lincoln is too high and I particularly like Lincoln DNB @ 4.3 with Betfair. For comparison, Grimsby DNB is 1.22 - it seems to me these prices should be a fair bit closer than they are.

Re: England > Weekend > BlueSQ Bet Prem Jan 1 Kettering are poor, Kettering have only 12 players...I'm very wary, still, when Luton are on the road. It may be ancient history by now, but draws early this season at Bath, Stockport, Hayes & Yeading. draws more recently at Ebbsfleet and Lincoln. Their only thrashing of anybody, 1-3 last away game at Tamworth, came after Tamworth had a man sent off early, and they conceded late right after Tamworth had a second man sent off! During their crisis, Kettering's 12 or 13 or 14 players have played their asses off at home. They were minutes from earning a draw against Southport (FT 2-3), lost 1-2 against Grimsby (a 90' goal doesn't suggest a team that gives up when down), and drawn 0-0 against Darlo and 1-1 against Bath. These aren't top-five sides, but seriously, Luton have about the poorest away record of any top five side. And they'll go out there with their chests puffed out, like they always appear to against poor sides. Kettering are 4.94 to draw, or +1.75 @ 1.91. Pure value.

Re: England > Weekend > BlueSQ Bet Prem Jan 1 IT is too late for me to preview now , game about to start in 20 minutes , i will have shortcut a alot . Hayes VS Ebbsfleet Ebbsfleet 0.25 Handicap (12Bet) :clap Kattering VS Lutom I believe this game i don't have to explain much , as all people know Kattering having a big trouble in thier team , even they cant have 3 players in bench . tonight they only have 2 player in bench , about luton they are good this year and always , tonight they away VS a trouble team i think should handle and win alot of goal . Luton 1.75 Handicap (12Bet) :clap Over 3 (12Bet) :clap Stockport VS Barrow Stockport is so weak this years , and barrow is not said as very strong but in aways tonight meet a weak home team they can handle it , but i not sure why the odd from 0.5 noon now drop to 0 ball , maybe barrow got any news i not sure . but if they playing like normal team like always plays , then tonight barrow is consider banker bet Barrow 0.25 Handicap (12Bet) :clap:clap Wrexham VS AFC Tefford Wrexham 1.25 Handicap (12Bet) :clap Over 2.75 (12Bet) :clap York VS Mansfield After few home game at home and york not really playing something good to proof thier fans lately , tonight i see them is going to play real firm game . as York mainly is really a standard team this year York 0.5 Handicap (12Bet) :clap Over 2.75 (12Bet) :clap

Re: England > Weekend > BlueSQ Bet Prem Jan 1

Was going to post this yesterday but Internet was down all day....but I'm with ships on Luton.I may be as mad as a hatter but I've gone 10/10 on Luton @ 1/3 with Padraig powers. That's gone now so I suggest looking in the extra markets for some value. As you know these two played each other on Stephan's(Boxing) day and Luton won 5-0.According to BBC the hatters had 25 shots on goal to the poppies 1 and they also smashed a penalty off the crossbar. They had 70% possession to boot. I find it very hard to see how Kettering can turn that into a win/draw in less than a week even at home. There are some talks of a Boycott from the home fans but I expect a lot of Luton supporters will show up and there should be good support for the away side....
0-5, bet won....

Result: Grimsby 3 Lincoln 1 I backed Lincoln DNB as above, and the bet lost. Still think it was decent value though.

Stockport County - Barrow Going again with unders as County do look crap in attack, dont know how long they did not score, but it has to be some record now. Saw the report from last game and it looks like a boring game to watch, i expect someting similar here, jut hope goalies wont be still drunk from new year celebration. Also surprised with good price, which fell only some 10% from last game. under 2.5 @ 1.93 sbobet Kidderminster - FG Rovers Saw the h2h results, and it is most common results between those two teams espcially at this venue. Also FGR will want to take positive reuslt form this game, but after is saw report, i dont believe teams will surge as both will be content with a point. last 5 out of 5 games here ended with a draw. Draw @ 3.4 bluesq York - Mansfield I see that York is underperforming lately, while Mansfield is tough cookie to beat away, with only 2 defeats to their name. I reckon that they will sell their skin hard, and 0.5 hcp looks very tasty Mansfield +0.5 @ 2.02 bet365 Luton -1.75 @ 2.17 sbobet As were stated in reports is found on the team pages Kettering were able to put only two subs on the bench last time out, and even those two were fresh our of injury players. So basicall i dont see things changing so much in four days, and Kettering might get another problem game. In previous game, Luton totally dominated and could have won it even higher. Luton also recovers James Dance and Jake Howells who both missed on previous game. All in all i see one way traffic again, as Kettering looks firstly to weak and also in personel problems. IMO only one outcome is possible here, and im taking it despite high hcp.
not bad for start of the year

Re: England > Weekend > BlueSQ Bet Prem Jan 1 Just seen I have some how made it onto the UK Football Punter of the Year shortlist which given my form lately is a surprise also its a surprise Ships isnt there above me. Still thanks for those who nominated me and if I win I will see it as a win for the non-league threads as a whole rather than a personnal win.

Re: England > Weekend > BlueSQ Bet Prem Jan 1 Good start to the year with the Luton -1 tip. Got 11/10 with Bet365 and went big. Apologies to anyone who backed Cambridge. We've gone off the boil and seem to be lacking that cutting edge that we had at the start of the season. It appears the opposition have sussed us out a bit and have worked out how to stop our ball players. Thursday will be interesting against Southport but I would seriously urge folks to back us with little confidence as our young squad blow hot and cold. Thanks for the tips this year to all the regulars. I've enoyed reading this page and picked up some gems along the way although like Addpea, I've had my fingers burnt a little of late. Hopefully that will change in 2012 :clap

Yes I opposed you on Monday and then backed you today which sums up the way things are going for me right now. Thursday will be interesting given Southport's shocker today.

Re: England > Weekend > BlueSQ Bet Prem Jan 1 Cracking start to the New Year! Alfterton and Kidderminster didn't win, but - thanks to addpea - the spreads on Gateshead worked out just fine - the time of the 2nd goal lost 13 points, the sell of the mini performance won 17 and the sell of Darlo's supremacy finished +1. Best of all, Luton won both halves at 2/1 and won by four at 7/1 - a nice way to kick off the year! Great calls by addpea on Gateshead, Azzurini on FGR X, Luton -1.75 and Mansfield +0.5, Maliniok on Fleetwood and Tamworth, dabic on Luton overs, and Luckoftheoirish on Luton to win. Pretty good thread, I'd say!

Re: England > Weekend > BlueSQ Bet Prem Jan 1 My turn then.

Double of Fleetwood DNB to beat Southport away @ 1.67 and Tamworth to beat Alfreton DNB at home @ 1.6. Acca 2.67 with Will Hill
Fleetwood run riot at Southport. 6:0 and they had 10 men from 32 mins! This part of bet won :clap Tamworth seemed unable to keep the lead today. They lead Alfreton 1:0 and then 2:1 but both times guests equalised. This part of bet void. Not a bad start of 2012, hopefully it's a sign of things to come this year. ;)

Im sure Kev will confirm but it said on Twitter that Luton hit the woodwork five times although Kettering having a man sent off eased matters but Luton were still 2 up at the time. I start of the new year in shocking form and shocking luck things really can only get better.
Yep 5 times. Post 3 times and crossbar twice. Only piece of woodwork we didn't hit was the right hand post at the other end looking from the away end. We also had a goal disallowed and the keeper made 5 or 6 really good saves. It could've been 15 easily. The sending off actually galvanised them for a bit. They seemed to think it was a bad decision but it looked a horrible tackle to me albeit from the other end. Luckily Taylor sidestepped most of it. The thing which would concern me if I was a Kettering fan was their defence visibly gave up on 70 minutes and it literally became us vs their keeper and woodwork. Whether that was because we ran them ragged or they've just had enough I'm not sure but that is a team who are going to ship goals by the absolute bucketload in weeks to come if something doesn't change there soon.

Re: England > Weekend > BlueSQ Bet Prem Jan 1 Lincoln absolutly dreadful. I haven't checked the odds but town are a very good bet to be promotes via the playoffs. Hearn and eldinf up front are a league one partnership and with the loan signings town look a decent outside bet. Going back to lincoln they are an absolute shambles with two of the slowest center halfs Ive ever seen.
