Re: England > Weekend > Barclays Premier League > 10-12 December

Hi mates great previews but my question is Does anyone make summary for thyir picks for long time? How can I know who mamakes profits from betting in here? The truth is majority of people are losers in the long time period. Do I have to do my own research who is on plus os is there any other way to check it?
To the penny, I could tell you my overall profit and loss, but I'm not going to :lol

Some of us take part in the affiliated sport tipster competition http://tipster-competition.punterslounge.com/ That is probably the best indication you will get for the relative success of the tipsters on here. Others choose to state there success in a category within their posts. Either way if you are wanting to use this website as a betting resource its probably best to judge for yourself after a few weeks evaluation. :ok

Re: England > Weekend > Barclays Premier League > 10-12 December For today i'll take; Stoke vs Spurs - over 2.5 goals 1.91 at Coral (2 units) Quite an obvious one given how the recent games between these two have gone, all three of last Premier League games have gone overs, and 5/6 since Stoke came into the league. These matches have however been close affairs (all separated by the one goal) which is why I'm happier with the overs than a Spurs win. Spurs will have a pretty much full contingent of attacking players with Bale I think likely to pass a late fitness test. It really is an exceptional attacking team with the likes of Bale, Adebayor, VDV, Modric and Lennon all having the ability and the guile to find ways around what will be tough Stoke defending. They've scored two or more goals in all but two league games this season which shows the threat they carry and indeed 11 out of 13 league games for them have gone overs. Stoke have been a bit more hit and miss this season than usual but they still posses their usual threats particularly from set pieces. It has caused problems for Spurs in the past, and may well cause they problems again today, especially with King likely to still be missing. :hope

Re: England > Weekend > Barclays Premier League > 10-12 December Stoke - Tottenham Last 5 out of 6 Premier League games between these two sides and last 3 games at the Britannia stadium produced 3 goals. 11 out of 13 (6 out of 7 away) Tottenham games produced 3 or more goals. Stats for Stoke are not so consistent but the info I have is enough for me. Over 2.5 Goals @ 1.90 (3 units) Bet365

Re: England > Weekend > Barclays Premier League > 10-12 December I'm going for Sunderland at home to Blackburn - 10/11 with PP. A new manager usually inspires a team and there's plenty of pressure on Steve Kean and his team still. Eveyone knows O'Neill is a top manager and I fancy him to get a win today. :hope

One bet stands out for me today at 5/2 on betfair for the double: Stoke v spurs overs & sunderland win in Spurs have gone overs in 9/10 of the last 10 prem games Stoke have gone overs in 5/6 of last 6 prem games For Sunderland game, blackburn have a few players out - olsson, nzonzi, rochina, nelsen. Plus a manager with the abilities of martin oneil will help motivate the Sunderland team in front of their home crowd. They have some well early on in games recently despite going on to lose, expect the same kind of start today but I believe they can carry it through to victory today and not let slip with oneils guidance. This paired with blackburns inability to win away in 7 games this season is enough for me to be convinced this double chance has some value

Re: England > Weekend > Barclays Premier League > 10-12 December I see a lot of punters are on Sunderland here, so I find it odd that the odds on Betfair are actually drifting. I'm sticking with my instincts here, and backing Blackburn to pick up at least a point. Both sides are pretty similar in ability, and despite Blackburn's poor away record I believe they have a better chance of scraping at least a point than the odds suggest. I'm not usually one to go with over used clique's like the new manager syndrome, and I think it'll take some time for Martin O'Neill to get his style across. In 2011 Sunderland have only won two games at home. Against Wigan, and Stoke coming off the back of a European fixture. Blackburn have been equally as poor away from home in 2011, but this is a massive game for both sides, and we saw yesterday with Wigan what can happen in this tight relegation scrap. Blackburn +0.5 is currently 2.02 on BET365.

Re: England > Weekend > Barclays Premier League > 10-12 December I would not be so sure about over 2.5 goals in Stoke-Tottenham match. Considering to the fact, that Stoke have played against 3 of the top 6 teams before this evening, at home: Stoke-Chelsea 0-0 Stoke-Liverpool 1-0 Stoke-ManU 1-1 Stoke welcome back Rory Delap and Jermaine Pennant, Andy Wilkinson is out. Tottenham's doubts are Jermaine Defoe, Gareth Bale, Ledley King and Sandro. Definetly out are longterms: Dawson, Huddlestone and Kranjcar. If Defoe, Bale and Sandro are all out, i expect that the game is low scoring, max 1-1. My Bets for the match are: HT/FT: 1/X @ 15,00 , X/1 @ 9,00 both 0.5/10 Correct score: 1-0 @ 12,50, 1-1 @ 6,75 both 1/10 Stoke to score first DNB @ 2,20 6/10 Under 2,5 goals @ 1,90 8/10 EDIT: Odds from Unibet

Re: England > Weekend > Barclays Premier League > 10-12 December Arsenal -1.5 @ 2.61 :eyes Bolton - Aston Villa under 2.5 @ 2.00 :eyes Liverpool -1.5 @ 1.95 :eyes Another keeper that comes to Anfield has a blinder. Creating chances but cannot put they away Wolves +1.5 @ 2.17 :eyes Rooney would have to break his drought when i highlighted this. Norwich - Newcastle over 2.5 @ 1.85 :D Swansea - Fulham under 2.5 @ 1.68 :D Season record: 61-78 (+12.45) Blackburn +0.5 @ 2.09 pinnacle Tagging along with Jase here. :cheers Both sides are in pretty poor form as they both sit in the bottom three of the ladder. Their main problem is that they have been conceding goals, and with both sides being able to score of late, can see no reason why they both sides do not score here. However, though Sunderland has O'Neill in as a new manager, it will take time for him to make the improvements that he is capable of. He has key players like Cattermole out, and Bendtner doubtful, while Blackburn look upbeat after their 4-2 win over Swansea last week. Sunderland have 3 draws and a loss in their last 4 home games while Blackburn have 3 draws and a loss in their last 4 away games, so with both teams in similar poor form, then this looks like a draw, but taking Blackburn not to lose at just over even money looks good value, and would not be surprised that they even edge this game Tottenham @ 2.05 pinnacle Spurs have been rolling along as they look to extend their 3 away games and 6 match overall winning streak. They have managed to score at least two goals in each of these 6 wins, and conceded just one goal in 4 of these games with 2 clean sheets, so they are doing it at both ends of the park. While Bale, Defoe and King are injury concerns, expect them to all play as they look to narrow the gap with Man Utd for second place. Stoke have won their last two games, beating Blackburn and Everton, but this is a step up in class against the most in-form team in the competition. But their home form is not as strong as it used to be as they did lose to QPR and Newcastle before the win over Blackburn, conceding 3 goals in each of these 2 losses. Hard to go past the form Spurs are in, and they should have few problems negating Stoke's direct play, as they have also beaten them in their last two games in Stoke.

Re: England > Weekend > Barclays Premier League > 10-12 December Sunderland vs Blackburn - Draw @ 9/4 Betfred Sunderland will be buoyed by the arrival of Martin O'Neill, however after their great win last week, I have a feeling that Blackburn can snatch something here. Although they played well against Wolves, last week's game highlights Sunderland's inability to close off games and secure the win. I can't see either side winning here, so a draw is most definitely on the cards. If I was pushed, I'd go for 1-1. Stoke vs Tottenham - Draw @ 9/4 Betfred Spurs are on a great run of form in the PL but, as I say every week (and get it wrong every week so far!), it will not last forever. Complacency will be a big issue for them here, against a Stoke side who, although not shining particularly this season, are more than capable of putting in a good performance, particularly at the Britannia. They have won two on the bounce, and looked very impressive against Everton last week, scraping it 1-0. Spurs are obviously a better side than Everton, but if Stoke put in the sort of performance they did at Goodison (they also have the home advantage this week), they should be able to get a draw. I anticipate a few goals here as well, and have also put a few quid on 2-2 and over 3.5 goals @ 9/4 Betfred £10 Double pays £105.63 @ Betfred

Re: England > Weekend > Barclays Premier League > 10-12 December Chelsea - Man.City I really like the odds on Chelsea in this game. Even though the Blues were inconsistent this season their performance in the last 2 games was really impressive. They beat Newcastle 3-0 away from home and strong Valencia side by the same scoreline in the Champions League. Man.City has been doing well against teams that are not considered top in the league. I still consider 6-1 win at Old Trafford a fluke rather than anything. They got knocked out of the Champions League and lost their both away games against B.Munich and Napoli and last week they were lucky not to lose against Liverpool. If the Reds had the full Gerrard in their squad I am sure the result would have been different. Even though Man.City has been purchased recently they do not have one of their best records at Stamford Bridge. They have won only 1 out of their last 5 away games against Chelsea, while the Blues won the said 5 games and all 5 times managed to keep a clean sheet. Chelsea @ 2.50 (3 units) Bet365

Good question lazarkini. I don't know the answer. But from my experience, I think most of the following are probably true - 1. Most bookmakers and exchanges make money 2. Most punters lose money (as you said) 3. Most punters have too many bets 4. Some punters improve their performance over time, particularly if they specialise in a market and gain an edge in that area I think the best way to find which punters do well here is either to follow the tipster competitions or to track individual tips over time.

Re: England > Weekend > Barclays Premier League > 10-12 December

SUNDERLAND v BLACKBURN Sunderland to win @5/6 - 5/10 BET365 I could be getting sucked into the 'new manager' factor or maybe I'm a bit biased as to the effect my fellow Northern Irishman Martin O'Neill could have on the Mackems but I seen enough of Sunderland last week v Wolves and the previous week against Wigan to think that they were more than tad unlucky to come away from both games empty handed. Blackburn on the other hand seemed to ride their luck somewhat in the victory against Swansea and I don't think the club are capable of stringing a good consistent run together given all the off-field shenanigans. This is big stakes for me so:hope Good luck all for this weekend!:ok
2-1 Bet won:nana PHEW One word summed that game up - LUCK. Martin O'Neill has, like any top manager, had a fair amount of it over the years and it paid off again today and, on reflection, probably formed the basis of my 'hunch bet'. By contrast, I can't help but feel sorry for Steve Kean as he has had no luck whatsoever. Having 4 players carted off with injuries (including a substitute) went some way to deciding the outcome of that game. However, you can't spend 80% of a game defending and expect to get much out of a game. Ah well, Kean's loss is elwormios gain:D Main lesson learned for me - placing a bet at such high stakes based on a hunch is a risky strategy. CURRENT BANK 43.44 units - STARTING BANK 10 units = PROFIT 33.44 units PL record - Winners 8 Losses 0:loon

Re: England > Weekend > Barclays Premier League > 10-12 December Had a punt on over 2.5 Stoke game, just covered a bit on 2-0 correct score at 4.33 ladbrokes during half time. If score stays like this I will get back some of my stake as Stoke may well defend their lead with 11 men behind the ball.

Stoke vs Spurs - over 2.5 goals 1.91 at Coral (2 units)
:ok. Takes me to +4.42 units for the weekend. Chelsea vs Man City - over 2.5 goal 1.83 at Coral (2 units) Have to think that there will be goals in this game tomorrow night, as there has been in the other clashes between these two and other top 4 contenders this season. This clearly shows that both managers may enter this game with an attacking set up and attitude and certainly the weakest areas of both teams is the defences so there could be gaps to exploit. Chelsea have played United, Arsenal and Liverpool this season with all of these going over 2.5, and two going over the 3.5 line also. At home generally Villas Boas has a very positive attitude, with all home league games going 2.5, and with almost an average of 3 goals a game. Over the last couple of games against Newcastle and Valencia they seemed to have really clicked going forward and Drogba looks a lot more committed and focused than we’ve seen him in recent months, and should be a real threat. However defence wise they will have to reshuffle with Luiz suspended again and so Boswinga will have to come at RB, with Ivanovic moving centrally. I don’t think Boswinga is that strong defensively so could he could be exploited, and City may well focus their attacks down that side of the pitch. City have faced Spurs (5-1), United (6-1) and Liverpool (1-1) with the first two no doubt making ominous reading for Chelsea. They have such an array of attacking talent its almost unfeasible that they wouldn’t score in any game and indeed they netted in all league games and only failed to do so once all season against Bayern in the CL. However whilst they haven’t been terrible defensivly this season, with the money they’ve spent in defence and on the likes of Toure & De Jong it is a bit of a surprise that they’ve only kept two league clean sheets all season. :hope

Unlucky. Kaboul sending off was harsh, and with 11 men they coulda found a equaliser. Good comeback by sunderland, but on another day they wont have been so lucky. Youre probably aware of this already but 9/4 are horrible odds to take. Sunderland - Blackburn you can get widespread draw odds of 3.50, and Stoke - Tottenham 3.60, which combined will give you an accumulator to pay £126 for a £10 stake, which if you get serious is a difference of a few hundred quid

I know man. Was so gutted. I looked on Betfair before I went out but didn't put it on. I lost track of time and it got so late that I had to run into Betfred and take whatever odds they gave. And they were pitiful. Ah well, didn't win anyway...

I know man. Was so gutted. I looked on Betfair before I went out but didn't put it on. I lost track of time and it got so late that I had to run into Betfred and take whatever odds they gave. And they were pitiful. Ah well' date=' didn't win anyway...[/quote'] Yeah ik, its funny that. You feel if you've won your bet, that you shoulda won 20% more and end up feeling like youve lost £200 for example... so you start hoping that its a loser anyway so it doesnt make a difference what the odds are... Then again you want to win as results have no "memory". I struggle to work out my percentages as a punter. The deviations are so high that its rare you ever predict a result based on what you think is going to happen in the match. People that took sunderland today probably thought they were going to dominate and take a early lead against a poor blackburn side with a habit of conceading, however its blackburn who took the lead and held it until 5 minutes before the end of the match, where sunderland scored 2 goals to win. Anyways all punters here are very secretive over their profits. A unit could mean just £10 or even £1000 to some true shrewdies. I have made an overall profit on just my Premier league bets over recent seasons, but though that, how the game is unveiled is hardly what you predicted before the match. Im getting at off topic so: Chelsea vs City I hate statistics on H2H between sides as I think its completely irrelevant based on how much teams change so im going to go for purely the psychology and the strength of the squads. Had a good think about this yesterday. Chelsea advanced through to the last 16 of the champions league whilst City didnt, and this is a good mental boost to players wanting to play well with the prospect of the champions league after christmas. Citys players deserve to get champions league football but inexperience has cost them. It should get them more focused on the league but it is still a mental blow to be knocked out of the tourmament, and progressing into the semi finals of the league cup is hardly something to brag about. I watched Villas-Boas at porto and knew he was what id describe as a "working man's" manager who will get the job done over poor opposition. However his record and attitute against bigger clubs are somewhat naive. Their loss at stamford bridge to Arsenal was unlucky, but performances against liverpool twice and Manchester united proved so. The English league is much tougher compared to the Portugese and Man City are no pushover. When similar odds existed, i asked myself do Real Madrid have more chance of beating Barcelona or Chelsea the same against Man City? I though real madrid and was wrong... So surely Man City have slight value here at slightly higher odds? Man city 9/5 5.05 units 365

Re: England > Weekend > Barclays Premier League > 10-12 December Wincast: Drogba/City - 41/1 with Betfair I like these odds. I can see a few goals tonight and in a game that is open I'd fancy City over Chelsea due to City's greater ruthlessness up front and lingering doubts over Chelsea's back line. I know Chelsea have looked to change things at the back and Luiz is suspended tonight which should act in Chelsea's favour, however, I just feel City's determination to throw a marker down against modern big boys after being knocked out of CL will also provide an edge for them. Crucial to this bet is the current form of Drogba. He's turned back the clock a bit in his last couple of games from what I've seen (any coincidence this has happened during contract extension negotiations?) and can definitely see him scoring and with these odds I'm happy to stick a couple of quid on both events occuring.
