Shipsupstreets
Re: England > Weekend > Northern, Southern & Ryman Prem Nov 26-27 Hemel Hempstead Town away at Cirencester Town (6/4 Corals, Ladbrokes) Hemel’s recent improvement continued with a draw against Bashley last weekend and win at Hitchin in the Red Insure midweek. Though far from the finished article, they’re starting to put chances away, with Matt Wright looking a more effective striker than they’ve had all season (here's hoping he can play). Ciren have had their moments this season, but they’ve been fleeting. They’re averaging two a game at the wrong end, and their top scorer is on three league goals. Though they thrillingly beat Leamington at home last time out at home (where their total points count is now four from a possible 24), they have since lost at Banbury and Chesham away. Hemel’s form is on the turn and they have more of an edge than the price suggests.
Shipsupstreets
Re: England > Weekend > Northern, Southern & Ryman Prem Nov 26-27 Kendal Town at home to Mickleover Sports (Evs Bet365) Kendal have largely been punting poison this season, with too many goals conceded and not enough bite in key areas. But they are continuing to play a breezy kind of attacking football that is attractive to watch and - when it works - hard to counter. Nantwich found that last week when they were taken apart, marking Kendal's first win at home for two months or more. And there were some positive signs in the 1-0 defeat at FC United midweek. It certainly helps that they have Jordan Connerton on board - way too good for Northern Prem football. Peter Wright has also come in to add some beef up front. I have to fancy them at this price against a Mickleover that only managed to pull in four points from a run of five successive games at home - the win came in a thrashing of Whitby when the visitors were doing their best to look like a Step 5 side; the point at home to Burscough, who are 2nd bottom, who were down to ten men, and who should have won. Evs is probably a fair price if the league table reflected potential, but Kendal are man for man much the better side.
Shipsupstreets
Re: England > Weekend > Northern, Southern & Ryman Prem Nov 26-27 No joy today with Hemel and Kendal both failing, although Jordan Connerton scored all three in the 3-3 draw - he will make a real difference to Kendal while he's there.
