Beijing Daily
Espérance-Wydad (starting in 45 minutes) This should be an interesting matchup as the probably two strongest club teams of Africa hit the second leg tonight, the decisive game. The first leg was very balanced (0-0), Wydad were superior in the first half, Esperance in the second. Both teams didn't take their chances and the keepers made some fine saves. Esperance have home advantage tonight and the game takes place at Rades which is meant to be a traumatic place for Moroccan football. Darragi (playmaker) will be back in the starting line-up. And they will not shoot on Lamyaghri's goal but on Bounou's goal. I don't know much about Bounou but it will be very hard to compensate Lamyaghri's absence. That's why bookies rate them as strong favourites. But Wydad have a lot of quality and character. They've lost only once during the group stage and the semi-final (and that was a day off at Algiers). They were in the 'group of death' together with Esperance and Ahly and in four games again both clubs they didn't lose (and Darragi did play;)). When they reached the semi-final and had to play against Enyimba they were again not the favourites but didn't concede a goal in 180 minutes. They were able to get a 3-3 against Ahly at Cairo as well as a 0-0 against Esperance at Tunis. They've played three times against Esperance in the last 3 months and they haven't lost. They've just always found the right answers. I don't know if there's a word in the football language like 'clutch', in basketball it means that you're ready when the time has come, that you score in the dying minutes of a game when it's close between the teams. Well, Esperance is not a clutch club, they've lost in three CL finals since 1999. I think Wydad can make another surprise. +0,75 @ 13/14 188Bet
Beijing Daily
Re: CAF Champions League Final - 2nd Leg 1-0 at HT and Wydad down to 10. Esperance the better team, I go in play.
