Murray usually plays in first defensive pairing with Dan Boyle, today he will join Braun in third. On the other hand Columbus Blue Jackets are the weakest team in NHL, they won only four out of 16 away games so far in the season. The Blue Jackets failed in seven out of last eight games overall. However Columbus scored at least four goals in three of last four away games but they lost three of them, and if Murray and Niemi keep their good fit I don't think Blue Jackets will score more than two today. San Jose failed in both two home games against the Jackets past season, but this year Columbus in definitely weak team. The Shark were holding 11 games winning strike at home against Blue Jacket before past year. San Jose won six of these 11 games with 3 goals or more. The Devils (21-16-2) will try and rub off the 2-game losing streak which they are on at the moment and most importantly forget the 1-6 last time against the Boston Bruins at home. For this one Zajac and Volchenkov will be out for the hosts while Josefson and Brodeur will be questionable. Florida (20-12-8) is looking even cooler then the Devils, now coming from their 5th loss of their last 7, in New York against the Rangers, 2-3OT. Upshall, Theodore and Skille will be out for the Panthers while Sturm and Bergenheim questionable. Despite the loss against the Bruins the New Jersey Devils have turned it around, in a good way, winning 4 of their last 6, not much but it is when the overall is 10-7-1. My pick in this one will count on this recent good form of the Devils to win today against the Florida who although are 10-8-3 on road so far (4th best in the conference), they have only won 1 of their last 6 (lost now last 5 in a row). The Senators failed in four of last six away games, recording loss when visited Dallas, New Jersey, Washington, Carolina, but they won twice in Buffalo for the past two weeks with the same score 2-3, but I want to say that Buffalo lost 10 out of past 14 games poor fit to that team. Philadelphia won three of of last four home games against Ottawa with three or more goals in past two years including 6-2 and 5-1 past season. Earlier this season Philadelphia won 2-7 when visited Ottawa in the lone encounter who they played. I don't underestimate the Senators but Flyers seems to be hot right now. Altough the Senators have a few hot players at the moment, the Flyers look more confident after getting back most of the missing pieces from the roster. I will bet on the Flyers to continue with these good results against Ottawa at Wells Fargo Center after winning both last season (6-2 and 5-1). The Kings proved so far to be constant when on home ice, with a 12-9-2 record, moreso lately, winning 4 of their last 5. Counting the fact that the momentum is now with the Kings with the 4 wins in 6 games form, I think they can win it clearly against the weekest team in the league, Columbus who has lost 4 of the last 5 on road and will be missing a great point producing defenseman, Wisniewski (2+15=17). However the Penguins should stop their three games loosing strike if want to hold playoff spot. Pittsburgh record four big over in last eleven games we saw 8-3 home win against Buffalo and 6-4 loss in Ottawa. On the other hand New Jeresey recorded five big overs in last twelve games including 3-5 and 4-5 wins in Montreal and Tampa through that strike. I think Devils should score easy against the Penguins defense who is struggling without Letang. However New Jersey has strong offense after Patrick Elias came back in the squad, with Kovalchuk, Parise they continue to keep playoff spot taking eight out of last twelve games. The last two Jets games on road finished with 7-3 and 4-0 losses in Montreal and Toronto. If Jets keep that fit I think nothing good they can expect of this games. The Jets still have big problems in defense Meech and Bufyglien and Stapleton will miss this game with injuries. Buffalo won four in a row at home against Winnipeg including 8-1, 4-1 past season, I think taking the host team on a puck line who will be with Miller on the net is good bet here. Performances of first goalie Crawford did not help either - he was bad in last two games, saving under .900%. SO this is somekind of situational play, Chicagos goalie should explode and no better time than today, even better is that Red Wings standard goalie is out (Howard) and instead of him Ty Colkin (who was btw, great few seasons ago) will fill in, and Colkin is having bad season so far. Teams are almost complete as both recover their important players for this gam, Holmstrom and Helm for Wings and Montador for HAwks. What made me go for this bet is the fact that Wings performed poorly in D last few games, and they are on b2b game with zero rest, while Chicago are at home and have prepared for this game after losing to Colorado. I see this as a perfece opportunity for Chicago to bounce back as they do posses one hell of a roster, with powerfull offence led by Hossa.
