No tournaments on ATP side this week with just 2 lesser WTA tournaments (Quebec and Tashkent). 1 pick for the WTA Quebec for me: ERAKOVIC TO DEFEAT GARCIA @ 1.5 on ladbrokes Garcia is a very talented young French player. She hits the ball very hard and has a good serve but she is not on the same top 50 level as Erakovic is right now. Easy win for Erakovic over Garcia just a couple of months ago. Additionally, just yesterday night Garcia played in the finals of US Open juniors tournament losing a close match and she must be tired and unable to practice on different court surface (Carpet court) in Quebec.

She's played couple 3-setters in las two rounds and that will be a key factor here. Double faults are huge part of her game and being tired won't help. Pervak will be fresh as she's beaten every of her 3 opponents easily. She was leading Rawdwanska 5-0 prior to the Pole retiring in New Haven earlier this year. -2.5 games looks short for me condisering everything said above. Kudryavtseva -4 vs Birnerova. 1.88 @ Pinnacle (5/10) Kudryavtseva is a defending champion here which means she will be up for this one, besides it's semifinals anyway. Couple reasons why I'm going with a handicap here as I naturally believe that Birnerova won't be a match for the Rusisan. First of all, she's more like a doubles players and secondly she prefers clay. Reaching semifinal in a main tour event in singles is something she's achieved for the very first time, I believe. Overall, Kudryavtseva is a better player in singles and should win comfortably. :hope

Paszek is a defending champion and I really like her fighting qualities. She's playing too many 3-set matches which is a negative thing but her fitness is quite good. Her defense is a bit better than that of Watson's and I don't think Watson will take a lot of encouragement from their only H2H match which was in Estoril this year. Watson managed to win just 3 games going down without much of a chance (0-6, 3-6). Hantuchova -4 vs Erakovic. 1.95 @ Pinnacle (5/10) What is Erakovic doing in this part of the world at this time of year I have no idea. She has not impressed in her opening two matches either and will struggle against Hantuchova who can overpower her with ease. Erakovic managed to win just 4 games in their recent meeting in Wimbledon. That was on grass which is favorite surface of Erakovic.

Pinnacle has Nalbandian at 12.00, but even that is hardly what i would call value... I mean it's a Davis Cup match in Belgrade, come on... But i agree with you on Hantuchova, i took her also.

Re: Tennis - 12-18 September Hantuchova vs Erakovic: over 20.5 games @evens local bookie Hantuchova did not impress me in her R1 and R2 matches - she did struggle in two three-setters against Tomljanovic and Czink, who both are challenger players from the second WTA hundred and should have been easily crushed by Daniela. OK, Czink did show some skills at Wimbledon by beating Sam Stosur and going to round 3, but that was an exception. Erakovic plays in solid form in Quebec, has quite good service game, quick indoor hard is a surface she is good on, and IMO should not collapse in two easy sets. GL :hope
