College Football 2011-2012 Overall 2W-5L-0P -3.50 units (28.57%) Not a very good start to the season. Pretty ******* shitty actually. Started out 0-5 and then closed strong with 2 wins :) Oklahoma St -13.5 to win 1 unit @ 5dimes Both these teams are great offensively but my biggest concern for Arizona is I dont think they are gonna be able to do anything to stop them on the defensive side of the ball. I think youll see Arizona hang with them till about halftime and the game ends up a blowout. Auburn +7 (-125) to win 1 unit @ 5dimes Got the +7 just for the insurance, but I think that Auburn probably wins this game. They struggled against Utah St obviously but Chizik seems to always find a way pull a game out of there ass. Remember Auburn was considered to be lucky to win the first 3-4 games last year. They could have easily lost against Miss St, Clemson and South Carolina. But yet Chizik finds a way to get it done. This will be a close one!

Re: NCAAF Week Two Picks Oklahoma State -13.5 @ 1.93 pinnacle Ok State's offence averaged 44 points per game on 520 total yards per game, with the focus being on the passing game where they threw for 346 yards per game. Not much should change here given that QB Weeden and WR Blackmon are back, and this tandem will light up the scoreboard. Weeden threw for over 400 yards and 34 TDs last season while Blackmon had nearly 1800 yards and 20 TDs. With the OL returning 5 starters, they are well placed to score once again. Like them to dominate the trenches here and allow Weeden to score on a Arizona defence that has just 1 returning starter on a very young and inexperienced DL, 2 LBs and 2 more in the secondary. On defence, Ok State allowed 134 rushing yards per game last year but 276 passing yards per game. They return just one starter on the DL, but get 2 more LBs and 3 more in the secondary, which should help to improve the pass defence. Arizona too like to pass the ball, and they get back their QB Foles, as well as RB Antolin and 3 WRS, the problem is that they have no one returning on the OL, and though Ok State are not that strong either, they do have some experience which will go a long way to containing Foles and his ability to find his receivers. Ok State beat Arizona last year in the Alamo Bowl 36-10 and with a more balanced side on both sides of the ball, hard to see Arizona stopping them, especially with a class player like Blackmon. Record 5-3 (+2.05)

Re: NCAAF Week Two Picks Oklahoma State -13.5 @ 1.93 :D Florida International +3.5 @ 1.99 pinnacle Both teams won their opening games against lesser opposition but there were some interesting points to come out of both games. Florida International easily beat North Texas 41-16 as some experience that returned this season, did well in this game. QB Caroll threw for 193 yards and 1 TD (16 of 22 completions) , RB Perry ran for 94 yards and 2 TDs, and WR Hilton had 283 yards in total with 1 TD, while 3 returning starters in the OL gave these key players time to make the plays. Louisville have 2 OL, LBs and 2 more starters in the secondary who returned this year as they held Murray State to 148 passing yards and 143 rushing yards in the 21-9 win over them. They also managed to get 3 INTs but will have to work to cut out Hilton who showed that he has some good skills. Defensively, FIU had 3 DL, a LB and 3 more in the secondary who returned and they looked good in the game as they allowed 204 passing yards and 97 rushing yards in the game. Also they had 3 sacks and a fumble in this game, as they did not allow a TD (conceded 2 TDs on fumbles and a safety). Louisville had junior QB Stein throw for 226 yards and 2 TDs but also threw an INT and they gave up 3 fumbles, so they were pretty rusty here. Much of this is due to the fact that they are needing to be patient with the inexperienced Stein, who only has a WR (Bellamy). TE (Chichester) and a centre (Benavides) returning as starters from last year. Bellamy had 4 receptions for 37 yards while Chichester had 2 receptions for 39 yards. Both sides have experienced returned players in defence but Florida International as more continuity and speed on offence, especially with Hilton. Like them to keep this game close, as they may be underestimated in this game, they being a team from the Sun Belt, and not as glamorous as the Big East. This Louisville side is not as strong as they used to be in previous years. Missouri +8.5 @ 2.02 pinnacle Missouri were not overly impressive in their 17-6 win over Miami (Ohio) as their new QB Franklin completed 17 of 26 passes for 194 yards (1 TD and 1 INT), while also running for 72 yards and a TD. Another returning starter was RB Moore who ran for 23 yards on 6 carries, while WR Moe had 6 catches for 56 yards and the other WR Kemp had 3 receptions for 24 yards. TE Egnew was also another who started last year and he had 2 catches for 12 yards. So all these experienced players had decent games but more is expected of them here, as they face an Arizona State defence that retains 2 DL, 3 LBs and 2 more starters in the secondary. Defensively, Missouri looked good as they allowed just 194 passing yards and 76 rushing yards. With 3 returning DL, 2 LBs and a safety, they got one fumble and started well as they look to maintain a very good defence that allowed 16 points per game and 204 passing yards per game last year. Arizona State have a RB, 2 WRs and 5 starters on the OL coming back but they too have some question marks on their QB. Both teams have good defenders with plenty of experience, so doubt that this game will see Arizona State winning easily, and like the points here as Missouri can keep this close. Record 6-3 (+2.98)

Re: NCAAF Week Two Picks GL guys...just real quick... Tennessee -4.5 to win 1 unit @ 5dimes Kind of an SEC over Big East type thing for me E. Carolina +17 to win 1 unit @ 5dimes V. Tech always seems to struggle against a team like this (or in some cases this team exactly) in pre-conference play Colorado +7 (-123) to win 1 unit @ 5dimes Break into the conference with a bang? Georgia +3 to win 1 unit @ 5dimes Coach on the hot seat, at home, they need to win BYU +7 to win 1 unit @ 5dimes Upset alert! Michigan +3 to win 1 unit @ 5dimes Guess I'll be the only one on this. Never like a team too much when they are playing musical chairs with the QB

Re: NCAAF Week Two Picks Central Michigan +10.5 @ 1.91 centrebetKentucky have just 4 starters returning on offence and they are all on the OL and it showed in their 14-3 win over Western Kentucky as they passed for 97 yards and ran for another 93 yards. QB Newton had 1 TD but 3 INTs with his line allowing 3 sacks and expect them to continue to have problems scoring points, as Central Michigan returned 3 DL, 1 LB and 2 more in the secondary. Their defence should be much better this year, with that extra year's experience, as they held South Carolina State to 78 passing yards and 58 rushing yards in the 21-6 win over them. Defensively, Kentucky had 1 DL, 2 LBs and 4 more in the secondary returning as they held Western Kentucky to 93 passing yards and 141 rushing yards. They did manage to get 3 INTs with this but will have a tougher job against CMU's offence that returns their QB Radcliff, RB Cotton, WRs Wilson and and Harris as well as 3 more on the OL. They managed 168 passing yards and 88 rushing yards with Radcliff passing for 2 TDs but also 2 INTs in the win over SC State. With Kentucky's offence looking likely it will take time before it gets better, then both defences should do well here, and it looks like alot of points to give up here Ohio State -20.5 @ 2.26 pinnacle Ohio State were pretty impressive in their 42-0 win over Akron as QB Bauserman passed for 163 yards and 3 TDs with TE Stonebruner doing well with 4 catches for 50 yards. They will be helped here with the return of RB Hall to the offence. Toledo have 3 DL, 3 LBs and 4 more in the secondary that returned, and though they should be better with a year's experience, they had problems defending the pass last year, and with New Hampshire passing for 180 yards and running for 152 more, than this Ohio State side should easily get 400+ yards here. Defensively, Ohio State allowed just 55 passing yards and 35 rushing yards as they too had players missing on defence. They should get back a couple of players on defence, that returns 2 DL, 2 LBs and 2 safety's, this defence allowed 14 points per game last year and started off well to repeat that form this year. While Toledo easily beat New Hampshire, this Ohio State is several classes better than what they faced, hard to see them keeping this one close. Iowa -6.5 @ 1.95 pinnacle Iowa have RB Coker, WR McNutt and 3 more on the OL as they look to rebuild their offence from last year after several key players graduated. New QB Vandenburg passed for 219 yards and 2 TDs while McNuntt caught both of them. They get back 3 DL and 2 LBs and though their defence should still be good, it may not be as good as last year's unit. howeve with Iowa State also without a returning QB, with just 2 WRs and 3 OL, they are going to struggle to score here. Iowa State allowed over 200 rushing yards last week and the signs are that it could give up a similar number here as they had only 1 returning starter on the DL. Two more LBs and 3 in the secondary may help them but they need to plug the holes in the line before they can be competitive with teams. Wisconsin -20.5 @ 1.93 pinnacle Wisconsin looked good last week in the 51-17 win over UNLV as QB Wilson threw for 255 yards and 2 TDs and should do well here as the Oregon State secondary allowed 296 passing yards and 4 TDs. RBs Ball and White also combined well and they are a very good tandem. Wisconsin's defence allowed just 146 passing yards last week as 6 returning starters on defence gave them the continuity they need. Though Oregon State have some good players on offence, their defence with just 4 starters from last year, are going to have problems stopping this very good Wisconsin offence Record 8-3 (+4.99)

Re: NCAAF Week Two Picks Hi guys! Quick picks (I really love the Blackcrow's previews ;), but... not enough time today...) PART 1 IOWA -6.5 @ 1.90 to win 1unit Error line! Iowa must win covering a spread of 14-17 points Central Michigan +10 @ 1.90 We can watch a match between 2 teams of same level so this spread is extra help for tipsters Oregon State / Wisconsin OVER 58 @ 1.90 Wisconsin offense remains hot (Wilson awesome performance prove it), and Beavers always play with a high-octane offense. Last week RB Agnew ran 223yards. Defense is the other side. Beavers struggle and against Wisconsin they'll be in trouble... but Badgers defense suffered last week in some moments against UNLV. Tulsa / Tulane OVER 64 @ 1.90 2 teams with only 1 thing in their mind: Offense. Oregon -26.5 @ 1.90 With all the Ducks nation dissapointed after LSU rolled Oregon last week, we can watch a hurted team with only 1 aim: demonstrate they were ranked 3rd and they are still BCS contenders... Stanford -20.5 @ 1.90 Andrew Luck can destroy Duke defense in every drive... TCU (ML) @ 2.00 I was surprised when I saw this line... TCU defense is "awful" this year but Air Force... I think bookies are wrong... PSU +10 JoePa knows how to prepare his team for this kind of matches. We'll watch a low-scoring game and a spread of +10 could be too much ND / Michigan OVER 55 @ 1.90 WOW!! What a special match between these schools... Everybody wants to win this classic so... I expect a high-scoring game. Nebraska -16.5 @ 1.90 (1st half) Nebraska is too strong for Fresno, but last week against Chattanooga Nebraska put their arms down after 3rd quarter lead... so I prefer this 1st half pick Florida -13 @ 1.90 (1st half) Same reason. I like too Georgia Tech -11, UCLA -20.5, Connecticut +2.5, and Wsh St. -13.5... but I'm gonna take a look. Record: 1-3

Re: NCAAF Week Two Picks Central Michigan +10.5 @ 1.91 Ohio State -20.5 @ 2.26 Iowa -6.5 @ 1.95 Wisconsin -20.5 @ 1.93 Stanford -20.5 @ 2.00 pinnacle Stanford have one of the best QB in the country (Luck) and expect him to do well on a Duke defence that returned 2 DL, a LB and 3 more starers in the secondary, but had numerous problems last year in conceding points. Stanford' s defence last year was very good and they return a DL, 2 LBs and 3 starters in the secondary that allowed an average of 17 points per game. While Duke return their QB, RB and two WRs behind 4 OL, there is a distinct class advantage to Stanford here and Stanford will contain them while Luck opens them up. Southern Mississippi -8.5 @ 2.00 pinnacle Southern Mississippi has a good core of starters returning on offence has QB Davis passed for 226 yards last week against Louisiana Tech and like him to do well here as Marshall struggled to control West Virginia QB Smith who passed for 249 yards and TDs last week. Though they returned 3 DL, 2 LBs and 3 more in the secondary, and they may get some stops here, if their offence cannot get some yards and give them a rest, then can see this SMU offence take advantage of their tiredness. The SMU defence held LT to just 244 yards of total offence and with 1 returning starter on the DL, 4 LBs and 2 in the secondary they have the nucleus of a good defence. Like them to do a similar job on this Marshall offence that contains just 3 OL, with a RB and WR, but there is alot of inexperience in this offence. North Carolina State -2.5 @ 2.05 pinnacle North Carolina State have returned 2 starters on the DL, 2 LBs, 2 CBs and 2 safety's as they look to be even better than last years defence that was one of the best in the nation, especially in stopping the run. While Wake Forst have a good QB in Price, he is doubtful for this game after sustaining an injury last week, and if he does not play, then expect them to look to run the ball, but that means then NC State should be able to lock them up. They have 4 starters on the OL but even they will find it hard to stop the NC State DL penetrating them here and getting to the QB. Wake Forest returns 2 DL, 2 LBs, 2 CBs and 2 safety's from last years side, so they should do well here as NC State is missing their QB Wilson who has gone to Wisconsin. NC State does have a couple of good RBs, while junior QB Brennan will be looking for TE Bryan, as he has some good potential. This will likely be a more of a defensive battle between two good sides, but NC State has the ability ot make more plays and create turnovers South Carolina -3.5 @ 2.15 pinnacle Plenty of quality in the South Carolina offence with QB Garcia and RB Lattimore and WR Jeffery, and they will like their chances of exposing a Georgia defence that allowed 390 total yards against Boise State with 3 of these coming through the air while the other two were on the ground. Though they return 7 starters, they had problems last year in defending the pass, and they had the same problems last week, Bow they have to contend with a balanced offence, with Lattimore capable of opening them up. Georgia have a good QB Murray, who played well last week and will need to do so again, as the SC has plenty of experience, having 7 starters returning in defence. Though they allowed too many yards to East Carolina last week, expect them to be up for this game, and keep the Georgia OL on the back foot Record 8-3 (+4.99)

Re: NCAAF Week Two Picks Central Michigan +10.5 @ 1.91 :( Looked good at half time but then folded in the second half Ohio State -20.5 @ 2.26 :( Toledo stepped up here while OSU where somewhat fortunate to get the win Iowa -6.5 @ 1.95 :( Allowed a late TD to send it to OT where they then lost the game Wisconsin -20.5 @ 1.93 :D Stanford -20.5 @ 2.00 :D Southern Mississippi -8.5 @ 2.00 North Carolina State -2.5 @ 2.05 :( South Carolina -3.5 @ 2.15 Record 8-3 (+4.99) (Update later) Florida -24.5 @ 2.02 pinnacle While Flroida get back their QB Brantley as well as RB Rainey and Demps as they played pretty well last week on both sides of the ball and like them to do well against this UAB side that has experience on both sides of the ball, but lack the class to compete with Florida, who are looking to reestablish themelves with a new coach and a better reputation for their program Northern Illinois -4.5 @ 1.98 pinnacle Northern Illinois showed last week in their win over Army that their balanced attack will gain them more points this season. QB Harnish looks like he will be even better than last year and with 5 players back on the OL, he should get the protection to find his players. Like them to do well on a Kansas defence that though they have 5 players returning on defence, they allowed 34 points per game and were hit quite hard on the ground. Like the NI offence to score here. Kansas have their problems on offence as well, and do lack experience at QB, RB WR and have just 3 players returning on the OL. NIU though has just 2 returning starters, but while they allowed some points last week to Army, they did enough to keep them in the game and allow their offence to win it for them. Can see the same here as the Kansas offence is not good enough to win it for them. Nebraska -28.5 @ 1.98 pinnacle With QB Martinez there, Nebraska have a dual threat as he can hit Fresno State on the ground and in the air, and like him to do well on this Fresno State defence that has 5 starters returning that allowed over 430 yards in the 36-21 loss to California. Nebraska has 7 starters back in defence and they just be as good if not even better thhis year, as they allowed just 17 points per game. Fresno State has just 1 starter back on the OL and with lack of experience at QB, RB and WR, like the Huskers here to dominate both sides of the ball USC -8.5 @ 2.00 pinnacle QB Barkley looks to continue from his good performance last week where he threw for 304 yards and 3 TDs with his WR Woods picking up these 3 TDs. Though they have only 2 player back on the OL, they did well to pick up the Minnesota pass rush and like them to do well here as the Utah defence returns 2 DL and 3 LB, but this being their first game in the PAC 12, they will notice the difference in speed in this conference. Utah get back QB Wynn, 2 WRs and 3 more on the OL, but lack an experienced runner of the ball, which may make them one dimensional here. USC have 3 DL, a LB and 3 more in the secondary to stop the pass, while up front they can stop the run. USC look the better side on both sides of the ball.
