Kiddo112 Posted December 7, 2011 Share Posted December 7, 2011 Just a word of caution for Uni. They play a high paced game normally, and I am not sure they will be able to do this at altitude. They may try to tailor their game accordlibgly. Also, for the last round Uni were able to rest players in their domestic games as they had qualified. tommy schnurmann Posted December 8, 2011 Share Posted December 8, 2011 Re: Copa Sudamericana 2011/2012 over 2 legs, LDU will know they are the weaker team and need to go forward with their altitude advantage tomorrow. the 2 big finals they played against Fluminense 2008 and 2009 they won their 1st leg home match with 4-goal and 2-goal margin and both times Flu nearly turned it around in Rio. Also no away goal rule in the finals, so even 1-0 win for LDU would not be to precious for them. U de Chile played mixed team last weekend with 6 starters, Liga Quito rested their starters nearly completely over the last 4 rounds in Ecuador campeonato. But like i said La U is the better side, i dont know if they are even able to play a defensive approach like Zenit or Trabzonspor in CL this week. So its a tough call here. The Ecuadorian side have a formidable record as hosts in the altitude in Quito, the country's capital, and they will be out to make the most of their home advantage in the first leg. Argentine star Ezequiel Gonzalez will start as a playmaker, linking up with compatriots Hernan Barcos and Claudio Bieler up front to try and build a lead in anticipation of their visit to Santiago on Wednesday. Barcos has been crucial in helping LDU Quito advance to the final, having netted seven times to guide them to the final two. LDU Quito have an impeccable record in South American competition, with this appearance marking their fifth continental final in the past four years. Universidad are also planning to go for the win in Quito, playing three at the back in an offensive line-up. Last week I also bet over 4.5 and lost but if you watched the game you know it could have easily gone over 4.5 in the first half alone. Thise game has even better chances of going over than the first one because of two things. LDU has to attack and after that first game I saw they can attack and make problems to U's defense so I expect them to score at least once tonight. That means U will have plenty of space to do what they do best , quick counter attack. I thought there will be a red card in the first one but it never came close to that , but tonight with everything depending on this game don't be surprised if you see at least one red card for both teams , most likely LDU because they will get nervous if they are down in the second half.
