MLB: July 6th Picks

Re: MLB: July 6th Picks Houston @ 2.07 pinnacle Norris is 4-6, with a 3.51 ERA and has pitched well of late without little reward as he has allowed 9 runs in his last 5 starts, including his last road start where he only allowed 1 hit to the LA Dodgers but still did not get the win. In his last start against Pittsburgh he allowed 1 run on 6 hits but still ended up losing the game 1-0. The Astros have been hitting pretty well but they have not been able to bring the runners home, but like them to do so here on Morton who is 7-4, with a 3.63 ERA but has allowed 6 runs in each of his last 2 home starts. He has won both his starts this year against Houston but like Houston to avoid the sweep here if they can get to him early. Atlanta -1.5 @ 2.13 pinnacle Jurrjens is 11-3, with a 1.89 ERA and has allowed 2 runs or less in 8 of his last 10 starts (total of 16 runs) with just 8 runs in his last 5 home starts. He is 4-1 with a 4.02 ERA in 7 starts against Colorado and like them to get their 3rd win in a row over them, as they may face a Colorado side without Gonzalez or Tulowitzki which takes away some of thier hitting power. Cook is 0-3 with a 4.66 ERA and has allowed 8 runs in his last 2 road starts, and yet to go past the 6th innings in his 5 starts this year. Atlanta has won 8 of their last 9 at home as well as 12 of 15 games overall while Colorado have lost their last 5 road games. Cleveland @ 2.01 pinnacle Masterson is 6-6, with a 2.85 ERA and has allowed 2 runs or less in his last 5 starts, including his last 2 home starts. He is 1-1 with a 3.00 ERA in 3 starts vs New York Yankees, and like him to continue his good form here, even though the Yankees are hitting well, Masterson has shown enough that he can keep them tied down. Hughes is 0-1, with a 13.94 ERA and returns from the disabled list where he has not pitched in the major leagues since April. He had allowed at least 5 runs in his last 3 starts prior to going on the DL, and though he pitched in the minors, doubt that he will be in for a long stint here, and with the Yankees bullpen not the best (apart from their closer), like the Indians, who have a very good home record to win this deciding game in this series. July picks: 7-13 (-4.27) June picks: 53-72 (-2.95) May picks: 31-73 (-30.18) April picks: 45-56 (+2.52)
