Re: Tennis - June 6-12 Hi guys, 1 pick for the Queens tournament in London: ATP: CILIC TO DEFEAT BELLUCCI @ 1.44 on ladbrokes/betfred Fast court specialist Cilic with great serve and big forehand will hit a lot of winners against clay courter Bellucci with long shots and game suited for slow surfaces. 6:2, 6:2 to Cilic in the matchup against Bellucci in Beijing last year.

Re: Tennis - June 6-12 I'll come back into the fray with these bets for today. - Lleyton Hewitt -4 games AH (v Andreas Seppi) @ 2.07 with >Pinnacle 7pts Hewitt thumped him 6-2 6-0 last time they met and looked good yesterday. Not sure Seppi has weapons to do serious damage. Nice enough player but lacks power. Hewitt looks pumped this week and ready to defend his title. Ought to have too much for the Italian. - Marin Cilic -3.5 games (v Thomaz Bellucci) @ 2.06 with >Pinnacle 6pts Bellucci ... how's he still in this event. Flirted with disaster twice against Ilhan and Dimitrov. Won't get lucky again if form and fatugue are to go by. Cilic will come on for his match against Clement. Beat the Brazilian 6-2 6-2 last year. - Andy Murray -4 games AH (v Janko Tipsarevic) @ 2.00 with >Pinnacle 6pts Janko's caused Muz problems in the past but comes here short of decent form. Think he will be wise to him. Tispy laboured past big bad Blaz and iron Mike - Murray is several steps above. The Scot should be focused (as much as he can be) after tight matches with Serb in the past. - Fernando Verdasco (v David Nalbandian) @ 1.94 with >Pinnacle 4pts Not sure Fat Dave is ready yet for someone of Nando's quality. Very ropey on serve and has lost both his meetings with Mr Hair Gel. Nando isn't bombproof by any means but fancy his chances to dispose of Nalby in this one. One bite for tomorrow too ... - Viktor Troicki (v Tomas Berdych) @ 2.16 with >Pinnacle 4pts Big Vik is in great form, fantastic serving, good groundies and confident. Prince Tam has looked vulnerable so far, he has these slumps and it's tough for him to get out of them. Two men going in different directions.

Re: Tennis - June 6-12 Andrea Hlavackova > Mirjana Lucic. 2.14 @ Pinnacle (4/10) I would not rate Hlavackova as an underdog in this match. She will be fresh for this one as has crushed both Craybas and Morita whilst Lucic had two really tough matches in her previous rounds against Stevenson and Vinci. She played three sets against the Italian and made 14 double faults in that match, it was 9 doubles against Stevenson and being tired won't help her for sure. They have met once before and it was in the same tournament last year in qualies. Lucic won very close match with 7-5 in the third set. I think Hlavackova has every chance to turn that result around and get a win today against tired opponent. Hlavackova good on serve and that should be enough to carry her through. Marin Cilic -3.5 vs Thomaz Bellucci. 2.02 @ Pinnacle (5/10) Not a fan of Cilic for almost two years now. He's been really poor but once in a while I think there's a good reason to back him to do good things. Bellucci was very poor in his both previous matches playing three sets against both Dimitrov and Ilhan, broken numerous times and not looking good at all. Cilic took care of Clement very easily and Clement is quite good on this surface. Cilic destroyed Bellucci 6-2, 6-2 in their only match which was in Beijing last year. He was not bothered on serve and I expect similar match today. Sara Errani > Marina Erakovic. 1.92 @ Pinnacle (5/10) Going with the Italian here. Match-up is good for her as Erakovic does not possess huge power which can be a problem for Errani who can not survive in matches against big hitter. She'll be fine today. I'm sure it won't be a pretty match, might take 3 sets to get a winner out of this but Errani is good to get a W. She has beaten Erakovic in both their matches, one of those was in the same event last year. 7-6, 6-4.

Re: Tennis - June 6-12 Andy Roddick - Kevin Anderson: Pick: Over 23.5 (8/10) Odds: 1.78 (Pinnacle) Surprised to see this line being offered at these decent odds. Anderson has been playing well dismissing rather comfortably of both Young and Karlovic (also breaking him in the process). Now Roddick before this tournament has played and lost only 2 matches on clay and I was curious to how he would enter Queens. To be honest against Lopez he didn't look bad to me. Played decent at times and saw him making 2 great passing shots. But generally I saw him playing a tad rusty and making some silly unforced errors. Now I do see A-Rod pulling this through, but with these guys serve and the game Anderson has been showing. I see a minimum of 1 tiebreak. Expect something like 76 75 or even Anderson snatching a set in a breaker. For the Unibet punters, they are offering a line of 22.5 against 1.68, I myself have put a 10/10 bet on it. 76 64 should be easy game. GL

Re: Tennis - June 6-12 Janko Tipsarevic - Andy Murray: Pick: Over 21.5 Odds: 1.92 (Unibet) Now Tipsa did struggle against Russel and Kavcic. But I must say he really showed his guts and resilience in both those matches. Where he was down he stepped up and turned it around to pull both matches to him in straight sets. Tipsa is showing decent form and he knows how to play Murray well. After 2 matches on grass he should kinda get the hang of it and be acclimatized to the surface. On the other hand we have Murray who had a harder time dismissing Malisse. He blew chances he should have taken in the 2nd set. The only moment in the game that Xavier played rather well meant winning him a set. To be honest the other 2 sets Malisse played crappy in the other 2 sets thus easy winnings for Murray. Murray showed glimpses of what he is capable of, but just like Roddick he looked rather rusty on the grass. I don't expect Murray to step it up just yet and I see at least 1 tiebreaker in this game. Take the overs. GL

Re: Tennis - June 6-12 Final bet of the day ... - Andy Roddick (v Kevin Anderson) x Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (v Michael Llodra) x Sam Querrey (v James Ward) @ 2.16 with Stan James 4pts I suspect A-Rod v Super Kev will be close, but I'll back the American's greater experience on grass to pull through. Overs backers look to be on a good thing here too. Same kind of match between JWT and Llodra. Another serve-fest but Tsonga's better for me in clutch moments, plus he tore poor Mike Berrer a new anus in the first round. Think it's probably the end of the line for Ward too, Uncle Sam's not a player I like but defending his crown here and will probably have a bit too much for the Brit.

Re: Tennis - June 6-12 Marin Cilic - Thomaz Bellucci: Pick: Cilic -3.5 Odds: 2.10 Crazy odds for this line. Bellucci was absolutely terrible in the last 2 matches against Ilhan and Dimitrov. The only reason Thomaz is still here is because Ilhan is a bigger clown than he is and the 'forever talent' never shows any good stuff whatsoever. Now Cilic showed some decent stuff and the big guy will obviously rely on this big serve. He'll also push Bellucci around with his big forehand. This claycourt player has no business being here and should be dismissed 64 64 at a minimum. GL

Re: Tennis - June 6-12

Glad I didn't put more on Del Porto in the end' date=' don't think the time delay or the outside court particularly helped his preparation for the match. Thankfully Ebden was good on serve, and Malisse played some good stuff after the rain delay.[/quote'] You have been warned :D To summarize my yesterday bets on Gronert: Riske (USA) vs Gronert (GER) Gronert @3,530 Pinnacle LOSS Riske (USA) vs Gronert (GER) Gronert + 4.5 @1,926 Pinnacle LOSS The handicap was missed by usual 0.5 games. 7 aces plus an extra dick were not enough to beat Alison Riske. Plus the match was interrupted about three times due to the rain, which did not help either :\

Re: Tennis - June 6-12 Sport Tennis Event Sabine Lisicki -Tamira Paszek Selection Tamira Paszek Strength 10/10 Date 09/06/2011 Bookmaker/Price Pinnacle Sports @ 2.47 Reasoning Paszek played phenomenal yesterday to win 6-4 3-6 6-4 against Ekaterina Makarova. Her first serve percentage rose to 64% compared to the 47% she had against Mirza 3 days ago. She made her service games really comfortable, she only allowed Makarova one break point, which she took to win the 2nd set. Winning 77% percent of the points played on her first serve and 63% on her 2nd serve, truelly a great performance from her. She was a finalist at Wimbledon in Juniors around 5 years ago, she did reach the 4th Round at Wimbledon at her first appearence, but since than she dissapeared from the radar. Guess she's back. I never imagined she could keep her serve so god damn well with Makarova also serving extremelly efficient, imagine that in 29 games there were only 3 breaks of serve and throughout the match only 4 games had break points. So... I have no hesitation in taking here to beat Lisicki as well. Sabine struggled in both her matches so far. In the 1st Round she dropped her serve 3 times against Kimiko Date-Krumm, her 1st serve percentage was around 51%, and considering the fact that Kimiko isn't a great server, she still needed 6-4 7-6 to wrap out the match. In the 2nd round same story. This time she played against Kirsten Flipkens from Bulgaria. THis time she had 60% first serves in, but the efficiency of her 2nd serve was just around 41% and Flipkens was able to break her twice, and make herself no-less than 7 break points. Lisicki is playing well... but Paszek with her performance against Makarova who is a very strong grass court player makes me feel she has every chance of winning this match as well. One thing I missed about Tamira was that against Mirza, her first serve efficiency was at a very high level, and she managed to rise her level even more agaisnt Makarova. All in all, this should be far from a walk in the park for Lisicki. Sport Tennis Event Andy Roddick - Kevin Anderson Selection Andy Roddick Strength 10/10 Date 09/06/2011 Bookmaker/Price Pinnacle Sports @ 1.38 Reasoning Anderson is a big lad with big serves and powerfull hitting. He defeated Karlovic and Donald Young without dropping a single game on serve, and managed to score 20 aces total, while saving all 3 break points he had to deal with. But... truth is,,, Karlovic only had his serve to count on as overall his baseline play on grass courts is pretty much only slices, not to mention that besides serving 18 aces he is also made 5 double faults, so not his best day. Young is not grass court material and was a sure victim. Roddick is one of the best grass court players of all time. I expected Lopez to dominate from the baseline, but Andy did. And it saved my bet on him as the Spanish player served 35 aces and Andy only dropped one service game in the entire match. He is a complete player for this type of court and it explains why he played the final so many times at Wimbledon. His serve wasn't at 100% but it was good enough, and consistant enough to keep him out of trouble. He didn't make many unforced errors, but his opponent was very strong and needed a decisive set after both shared sets won at tie-break. So, from my point of view... Anderson with his 10 aces per match means very little compared to Feliciano Lopez. Can't see Roddick losing this one, he looks in good form and shape. Their only previous meeting ended with Roddick winning on Hard 6-2 4-6 6-2, and I can't really imagine how could Anderson win this one. Not big odds, but decent enough to go high stakes and win some good money.

Re: Tennis - June 6-12 Two for me today (although I might come back with more). (2/10) M.Krajicek (+3) to beat L.Safarova @ 2.06 with Pinnacle I simply love betting against Safarova these days, as she is unbelievably inconsistent and this handicap looks really nice. Krajicek was great on serve in the first game and Safarova is usually pretty average on return, so she should have some problems with breaking Krajicek. And Safarova can definitely struggle on her own serve. H2H also supports this bet. (2/10) F.Verdasco (-1.5) to beat D.Nalbandian @ 1.95 with Pinnacle Definitely the Spaniard for me, Nalbandian is still not completely back and Verdasco leads the H2H 2-0, so the only concern is his mental "toughness". However, I expect him to win this one pretty easily, so I am going to trust him this time.

Re: Tennis - June 6-12 Atko, or other punters. Do you guys see value in backing Dolgopolov vs Kohlschreiber? Kohli was terrible against 210 of the world. And Dolgopolov was kinda sharp after a slow-start vs Haase. Only thing that is bothering me is that it's being played in Germany.

Re: Tennis - June 6-12 Following Psycho and CZP on the idea of fading Safarova, but I am greedy and I go for the outright Krajicek > Safarova @2.88 Pinnacle In addition to the facts presented by others, I think that if Krajicek is able to keep it +3 tight with Safarova, it will be a shame for her to lose the match eventually. The Czech tennis (and not only tennis) pair Berdych-Safarova is in depression. Berdy almost lost to Bemmelmans, facing 3 matchpoints, and Safarova almost lost to Konta at virtually same time. Somehow their level of play gets interconnected. Berdych's performance against compatriot Hernych was far from convincing, and I would say that Lucie is not going to show any superb tennis today neither. H2H 2:2, with Krajicek winning two matches on Hard and I-hard, while Safarova winning 2 matches on her favourite clay. Lucka to go home today GL :hope

I believe that he's better placed to win this match but the fact that it's in Germany, and that Dolgo has morphed into a more "unreliable" player of late, makes me want to leave it well alone at that price. Would be interested to see what the others think.

Re: Tennis - June 6-12 Guys I'm backing Safarova at 1.51 at Pinnacle. I can't help but say that Michaella Krajicek is somehow interconnected with her brother Richard Krajicek. Yesterday Richard slipped in the shower and now has a little ankle injury. I saw him play in a fun match with a friend of his, and he played absolutely crap making a lot of unforced errors. Richard was far from convincing and I think Michaella is not going to show any superb tennis today because of that. Krajicek to go home today GL :hope Did you see what I did here?!

Re: Tennis - June 6-12 Had another look at taken a further 3 for the action in Queen's. Regret not taking Verdasco at evens last night, but now he's odds on, it's too short to back the Spaniard in my opinion. Janko Tipsarevic vs Andy Murray- Murray -3.5 handicap- 5/6 Ladbrokes- (5/10) Murray has never had it easy against the Serb, but today I see him winning maybe not with ease, but comfortably nonetheless. He looked okay against Malisse, and what was encouraging to see was that his ankle looked fine. It's always difficult to adapt to a new surface so the Scot will just be glad to get through that one. He didn't have to do anything special, just get the job done and he'll look to build on that today. Tipsarevic, although winning both of his matches this week hasn't played well at all and the two wins flatter him. Against Kavcic he missed endless amounts of break points, before only taking it 6-4 6-4, and yesterday the rain came to his rescue as he was getting brushed aside by Russell until the stoppage. If he continues to play like that he'll struggle today, with the crowd firmly behind Murry, will be interesting to see how Tipsarevic copes with that, as he has had crowd problems in the past. I do like Murray in this one though, and he'll frustrate Tipsarevic repeatedly in the rallies and one break set should be fine for Murray to do here. Rafael Nadal vs Radek Stepanek- Nadal -4.5 handicap- 8/11 Ladbrokes- (4/10) This is another matchup where the better player has never had it easy but I fancy that to change today. Nadal was very much warming up against Ebden yesterday, and looked comfortable for the duration and if it wasn't for the Aussie's good first serve, Nadal would have won that by far more than he did. Stepanek though doesn't have that big first serve and he enjoys the variation and rallies. Not tomorrow I don't fancy if Nadal's forehand is adjusting to the grass courts. Stepanek isn't the quickest these days and although when he's played Nadal in the past he has run him close, he's certainly not as fit and agile now in his 30s so he'll struggle I fancy. He incredibly lost the first set to Ljubicic 6-0 yesterday, before managing to come back and win. To lose a set to love is really striking and unforgivable, and any repeated performance of that, Nadal will have a field day. Do fancy him to play well today and win this one by at least 5 games. Marin Cilic vs Tomaz Bellucci- Cilic -3.5 handicap- Evens Ladbrokes- (4/10) Although I wasn't impressed by Cilic on serve yesterday against Clement, his groundstrokes were still impressive and I fancy him to have too much for the Brazilian in this one. Bellucci hasn't played much on the quicker courts this season, and I think that's been noticeable from his past two matches where he could and possibly should have been beaten. Ilhan I think was a break up in the third yesterday before he choked, but regardless Bellucci is incredibly lucky to still be here this week. Cilic is a step up from both of the players he has faced thus far though and despite his serve being erratic, in the rallies he'll put that extra pace and power on the ball and I'm not so sure how Bellucci will cope with that. They have played once before where Cilic easily won 6-2 6-2 on the hard surface. I don't expect it to be as easy as that for him, but I do fancy him to be a comfortable winner here.

Re: Tennis - June 6-12 Sam Querry vs James Ward 3pts Under 21.5 games - 11/10 with Paddy Power I really like Querry here and think he will do the job in straight sets but the odds about that make no appeal whatsoever. I see this being the same type of game as when he played Nishikori because i can't see Ward getting a look in on the big mans serve. Despite Ward pulling off a good win against Wawrinka i think there were a lot of things in his favour i.e. Wawrinka having some tough matches in the French Open, not having any games on the grass and Ward already playing on the surface prior to their game. Querry is motivated here with him being the defending champion and this is the type of match he was coming through easily this time last year. Ward's returns won't pose too many problems in my opinion and i can see Querry coming through no worse than 6-4 6-4.

Re: Tennis - June 6-12 Hi guys, I need some advice pretty quickly. I had an acca on yesterdays queens and my first 6 came in and im now waiting on Simon to win in the match that was halted yesterday by bad light. I am thinking about covering myself by backing Mannarino at 9/4 to lock in some profit. what do you guys think the outcome of the decisive 3rd set will be? Cheers

Re: Tennis - June 6-12 Sport Tennis Event Krajicek - Safarova Selection Krajicek Strength 10/10 Date 09/06/2011 Bookmaker/Price Ladbrokes @ 2.63 Reasoning LADBROKES is one ball bookie, if match started and player retired bet is won! H2H is 2:2 Safarova beat two times Krajicek on clay surface, but Mishi won two times on hard surface - outdoor and indoor. For Krajicek this is good tournament to make points, in first round destroy Oudin in two sets, lost only 7 points at the serve. Why Safarova play here? Grass season is started, in my opinion want go to the England after this match. In first round play poor against no name Konta.

Always a toughie when it comes to hedging bets. This match wasn't televised, and therefore it's hard to judge how the third set will go. Mannarino had about seven set points before he eventually clinched it, and so the momentum would have been there had the match continued. I'd think, however, with Simon's greater experience and quality, he might eke it out. What were the odds of your accy? Because if you have doubts, lock in the profit and don't stress it out if you have enough on either side to do so.

Re: Tennis - June 6-12 Il pick up 165 from a £40 bet. I was considering £40-£50 on mannarino but know i will kick myself if the heavy favorite Simon come through. It was a difficult one because although Simon is 6th seed he is playing a fellow frenchman so will probably have his game exposed slightly more. Im tempted to stick rather than twist as Simon should come through, the break overnight came as a big relief for me because judging by the scoring simon was out of sorts in the second set and the first was very tight.

Oh man, how are the close people and the relatives doing is not entierly irrational point of view, because they can have the common reason. But even if it were completely irrational arguments, thy are as good as the "rational ones" - just see how logical it was that Voskoboeva should have won her match against lousy Zhang in Psycho's writeup :lol BTW, I am glad I made your day, BOL with your plays.

Personally, i would just cover my stake so you won't have lost anything should your acca lose and if Simon come's through you will have as much profit as possible.

Re: Tennis - June 6-12 Yeah that was my thought Mirage, its almost an impossible situation because if i do hedge and Simon wins then il feel as if iv lost and obviously if i dont and Mannarino wins then my accas down anyway. It doesnt start until 2pm on court 2 so im going to have a long think before sticking it on in my lunch hour!
