Super 15: Round 12

Hurricanes @ 2.60 Tab Hurricanes coming off a good win over the Reds last week as they started to show the form that they are capable of. They will be looking for some revenge on the Blues after their 41-17 loss earlier this season, and will like their chances of adding to last weeks win as the Blues are losing players to injury with McAlister and Toeava both out, while the absence of Boric from the lineout was a big factor why they did not get quality ball last week in the narrow win over the Highlanders and can see the Hurricanes putting plenty of pressure on them here. Liked the way the Hurricanes pack played last week and never gave the Reds a chances to move the ball, which should help them negate the Blues who also like to move the ball around Reds win by 1-12 margin @ 2.85 Tab Rebels have lost 3 straight but tend to be gallant in defeat, as they can play for 60 minutes and then let themselves down in the last 20 minutes. They lost 28-9 to the Waratahs last week but did concede two tries in the last 10 minutes as their team tired. They have already beaten the Brumbies and the Hurricanes at home (who beat the Reds last week) but believe the Reds will have too much for them in the end. The Reds will be looking to bounce back from their loss to the Hurricanes where they were pretty poor in defence, while their backs did not get going. Against the Rebels, they should do much better in the forwards and this is where the platform for the win will be, but their backs are up against some good Rebels players like Mortlock, Gerrard and Huxley, so they will not have it their own way there. They did smash them 53-3 earlier in the season, but expect this to be much closer, and like the Reds to end up with a narrow win

Re: Super 15: Round 12 Highlanders @ 2.30 Tab Highlanders have been grinding away with some good performances of late and surprised they go into this game as underdogs, given how well they have played, including an impressive win over the Crusaders. The Chiefs got belted by the Bulls in SA and now ,ake the long trek home, and teams tend to struggle to get used to the jet lag after flights back from South Africa. While they probably have the edge in the backs, the Highlanders defence has been brutal at times, not giving teams to move the ball out wide, while at the breakdown, they outman and outmuscle their opponents to get quality ball for their own backs. Waratahs win by 1-12 margin @ 2.85 centrebet Waratahs have been lacking up front and have not been able to set the platform for their backs to get enough quality quick ball. As a result they tend to kick the ball away with so much pressure in their faces and can see the Force producing similar tactics to frustrate them. The Force did well to comeback from a huge deficit early on when it looked like they were going to get smashed by the Crusaders. Though they still lost, their effort was encouraging, and they will take much confidence from this into the game. However the 31-3 loss they suffered to the Waratahs at home showed that there is still a difference in quality between the two sides, and though the Waratahs have done performed of late like they were at the time of that game, they still have enough to edge this, but it will not be easy for them as the Force will be looking for some revenge here
