Very talented pitcher who shows great signs of development, especially this season where he's finally found his 4th pitch - a slider. Still plenty of room for development but a man for the future. Twins starts Duensing whos 2-0 W/L in 4 starts with 3.00 ERA. He disappoints me a bit with a K/9 of 5.67. Those with interest in betting would'nt care anything about those description but pay attention to the value line. I call the game close to 50/50 with a slight advantage towards Royals. That makes a fair line around +100 and value at +103. Phillies -205 to win 1 unit @ Pinnacle - Suckerbet! Halladay sits at 3-1 W/L in 5 starts this season with an ERA of 2.41. He has an impressive K/9 of 9.40 this season and 51% of batted balls against him ends up as ground balls. - Additional info: Half his pitches is Cutters while he is down to just 1/4 of his pitches being fastballs. Mets starts Niese who's 1-3 W/L with 5.10 ERA. I'll go with Phillies heated battingcrew againts Niese and his .283 BAA

Re: MLB: April 30th 2011 Picks Philly -2.5 @ 2.70 pinnacle Philly's ace Halladay is on the mound today and he is 3-1, with a 2.41 ERA and once again pitched well in the 3-1 win over San Diego. He has pitched well against the Mets, going 5-0 with a 2.09 ERA in his last 6 starts against them. Earlier this month he starred in the 11-0 win over them and like him to get some run support once again, after their 10-3 win over them last night. Niese starts for the Mets and he is 1-3, with a 5.10 ERA, and he allowed 6 runs in the loss to Halladay earlier this month. Though the Mets are hitting well, like Halladay to close them down while the bats get to Niese. Tampa Bay -1.5 @ 2.41 pinnacle Shields starts for Tampa Bay and he is 2-1, with a 2.35 ERA and has done well in his last 2 starts, giving up 4 hits in the 2-1win over the Chicago White Sox, and then 4 hits again in the 2-0 win over Toronto. He is pitched well against the Angels, going 5-3 with a 3.16 ERA in 9 starts against them, allowing 2 runs in each of his last 3 starts against the Angels. Pineiro starts for the first time for the Angels and he is 2-4 with a 4.80 ERA in 11 starts against Tampa Bay. Like the Rays to do well here and even up the series behind the very good pitching of Shields. Oakland -1.5 @ 2.65 pinnacle Anderson is 2-1, with a low 1.56 ERA as he allowed 2 runs in the 5-2 win over Seattle, and though he has pitched poorly against Texas in the past, like him to fix that with the good form he is in. He should get some run support from his bats who have hit Lewis pretty well in the past, as he is 3-3 with a 3.57 ERA in 10 starts against them. Furthermore, he has struggled so far this season, going 1-3. with a high 6.95 ERA as he allowed 6 runs on 7 hits in the 6-4 loss to Toronto. April picks: 42-51 (+4.17)

Re: MLB: April 30th 2011 Picks Philly -2.5 @ 2.70 :eyes Tampa Bay -1.5 @ 2.41 :eyes April picks: 42-53 (+2.17) Oakland -1.5 @ 2.65 Houston - Milwaukee under 8.5 @ 1.94 pinnacle Though Rodriguez is 1-3, with a 5.40 ERA and he allowed all 4 runs on 10 hits in the 4-1 loss to Milwaukee, like him to bounce back here as he is 4-0 in 6 home starts against them, and has not allowed a run in his last 2 starts there. Wolf opposes him once again, and he is 3-2, with a 2.64 ERA), as he has allowed just 1 run and 9 hits in winning his last 3 games, including the 1 run and 4 hits in the win over Houston last week. With Rodriguez pitching much better at home, and Wolf in good form, can see this being a pitcher's duel, with not many runs scored. Boston - Seattle under 8.5 @ 2.05 pinnacle Lackey is 2-2, with a 6.35 ERA but has pitched well in his last 2 starts where he has allowed just 1 run in these 2 games, and was very good once again in the 7-0 win over the LA Angels. He has pitched well against Seattle in the past , going 2-0 with a 0.72 ERA the last 3 times against them, and allowing just 13 hits in these 3 starts. With Seattle scoring 2 runs or less in 4 of Fister's last 5 starts, like him to contain the Mariners bats once again. Fister is 1-3, with a 3.19 ERA and he allowed 1 run on 4 hits in the 5-2 loss to Oakland. Though he is 0-2 with a 4.34 ERA in 3 starts against Boston, they too are not hitting well, and can see this being a low scoring game as both pitchers do well here. Kansas - Minnesota under 8.5 @ 2.05 pinnacle O'Sullivan is 1-1, with a 4.20 ERA but is 1-0 with a 1.64 ERA in his 2 starts as he allowed 2 runs in the 4-3 win over Cleveland last week. While he is 1-1 with a 5.06 ERA against Minnesota, he has shown of late that he can hold them here. He is up against Duensing who is 2-0, with a 3.00 ERA as he allowed 1 run on 5 hits in the 10-3 win over Cleveland. Against Kansas he has pitched well, going 3-0 with a 2.52 ERA in 4 starts against them, allowing 3 runs in the 4-3 win over them earlier this month. Like the look of a low scoring game here as neither sets of bats are hitting the ball extremely well. Florida -1.5 @ 2.42 pinnacle Johnson has been excellent for Florida, going 3-0, with a very low 1.06 ERA and has allowed just 1 run in his last 3 starts. He has not pitched well against Cincinnati in the past, going 1-1 with a 4.76 ERA in 3 starts against them as he allowed 6 runs on 10 hits in the 7-2 loss to them last year, so expect him to be much more focoused here on redeeming himself from that poor start against them. Volquez is 2-1, with a high 6.35 ERA as he allowed 3 runs on 6 hits in the 3-0 loss at St. Louis, and he has pitched well against the Marlins, going 4-0 with a 1.73 ERA in 4 starts, but not too overwhelmed with his recent pitching performance, and like the Marlins to give Johnson some run support here. Colorado -1.5 @ 2.36 pinnacle Hammel is 2-1, with a 3.80 ERA as he allowed 1 run on 7 hits in the 3-1 win over Florida. He is 1-0 with a 6.00 ERA in 2 starts against Pittsburgh, and may need some runs here once again to win this game. He opposes Maholm who is 1-3, with a 3.90 ERA and is coming off allowing 2 runs on 4 hits in the 4-2 win over Washington. However he has really struggled against Colorado, going 0-6 with a 7.82 ERA in his last 7 starts against them, as he allowed 5 runs on 8 hits in the 7-1 loss to them earlier this month. Like the Rockies bats to get to him once again, so that they even up the series here.
