If anyone has the stat, I cant seem to find out, how do the Red Sox usually do on the day of the Boston Marathon on these 11:05 AM starts. blackcrow Posted April 18, 2011 Share Posted April 18, 2011 Re: MLB: April 18th 2011 Picks Chicago White Sox -1.5 @ 2.80 pinnacle Jackson comes up against his old team and he allowed 1 run on 4 hits in the 5-1 win over them two wweeks ago, and he has won all 3 starts against them with a low 1.44 ERA, so he does tend to perform well against them. So far this season he is 2-0, with a 2.89 ERA but did allow 3 runs on 7 hits as his batters helped him out to win 6-5 against Oakland. Like him to pitch well here agai. He is opposed by Price who is 1-2, with 3.92 ERA and is coming off giving up 2 runs in the 3-2 win over Boston. However against the White Sox, he has lost all 4 starts with a 4.88 ERA, and allowed 3 runs on 9 hits in the match up with Jackson recently. Like Jackson to do well yet again here, while the bats to score some runs on Price Detroit -1.5 @ 2.45 pinnacle Scherzer is 2-0, with a 4.76 ERA and has pitched well in his last 2 starts where he has allowed just 3 runs in total, after a poor first start to the season. He is coming off giving up 2 runs in the 3-2 win over Texas on Wednesday, and looks to do well yet again against Seattle where he has allowed just 3 runs in both of starts while winning both of them. Vargas is 0-1, with a 4.86 ERA and in his 3 starts, and is 0-1 in 2 starts against Detroit, where he allowed 8 runs and 15 hits in these games. Neither side is hitting well, but Scherzer is the better pitcher, and like him to contain the Mariners bats here while Detroit to score a few off Vargas.
