NRL Round 3

Messy looking round lets see what we can do. Broncos-2.5 @ 2.00 - I think this one will be tight, form has not counted for much this year but the Titans are a much better team at home but i think the inclusion of Hannant and Hodges is a massive boost to the Broncos and think the Titans will be 0-3 by the end of the night. Eels V Souths Total Points Over 40.5 @ 1.90 - I think the only thing to be sure on with the form of these two teams is that both teams have had difficulties defending, Souths have made late comebacks in their opening two games but have not been able to close out the game efficiently, i think Eels/Souths or Souths/Eels HT/FT is worth a shot each way as well. GL, think we may need it this weekend ;).

Re: NRL Round 3 Eels -3.5 @ 2.32 centrebet Neither side can be considered to be in good form, but the Eels did play pretty well in beating the Warriors first up, and this game gives an indication that they can play for a full 80 minutes. The Rabbitohs have twice played for about 65 minutes and after taking a lead, cannot hold onto it. They have made too many mistakes to allow teams back into the game in their first two games, and this inconsistency lends to belief that they do not have the spirit to keep going for the full game. The Eels have the players to negate the bigger Souths forwards but the Eels have the better backline, with Hayne in particular, a match winner on his day. Broncos -3.5 @ 2.10 centrebet Nice win by the Broncos last start as they played well to beat the Raiders and will like their chances of beating the Titans here given that they have lost their first two games, in particular last weeks game against the Storm where they got smashed. The Broncos are even stronger for this game with Hodges back in the centres while Hannant adds more firepower to the forwards. The Broncos have won 3 straight games against the Titans and 5 of the last 6 meetings, so they have the wood on the Titans, and given the respective form, like them to win again here

Re: NRL Round 3 Eels -3.5 @ 2.32 :@ The Eels hsould have had at least one, if not two tries but for some poor refereeing which would have changed the complexion of the game early on. The Rabbitohs went on to make the most of their chances and with the confidence of taking the lead, they were able to then stay in front. Broncos -3.5 @ 2.10 :D Panthers -9.5 @ 2.09 centrebet The Sharks put up a great display to beat the Dragons on Monday night but it will be a tough ask for them to back up here, as Penrith is a tough place to go to on a Saturday night, and expect the home side to repeat their form over the Eels here. There are plenty of Penrith big men to run at the Sharks here, who will be pretty bruised from the Dragons game. The Panthers played with much higher intensity in beating the Eels, and they should be the fesher of the two sides given that they would have an extra 3 days to prepare for this game. While the Panthers have the edge in the forwards they are also much better in the backs, and expect the pace of Jennings to really test them with the short turnaround causing them plenty of problems in trying to stop Jennings. Tigers - Raiders over 44 @ 1.90 centrebet Both sides like to attack and expect them to both use the ball through their backs quite a bit. Marshall and Farah showed last week that they are warming to the task as they engineered a late flurry to beat the Warriors last week, while the Raiders were awful against the Broncos last week, but pretty good the week before against the Sharks. With Dugan likely to play, it adds to their attacking play, and look to him to regularly chime in to their attack. While the forwards will play their part, expect the smaller men to come into the game as they run these forwards ragged, and setting up a high scoring game

Re: NRL Round 3 Dragons -6.5 @ 2.46 centrebet Expect the Dragons to bounce back after their shock loss to the Sharks last Monday night. The Warriors were somewhat unlucky not to hold out the Tigers last week while they were ordinary in their first game with the Eels. The packs should have a very good game but the class the Dragons have in the backs should be enough to win it, especially in defence where Gasnier and Cooper look to have a big edge over their counterparts. Dragons have won 7 of the last 8 meetings and like them to get up here Roosters -3.5 @ 2.17 centrebet Nothing flash about the bulldogs but they do enough to get the wins. The Roosters would be looking to get back on track here after their loss to the Sea Eagles where they uncharacteristically made too many mistakes. Coach Smith will have them fired up to do well here, as they will be looking to make up for last years thrashing by the Bulldogs. The Roosters, if they match the Bulldogs passion and intensity, have some good ball players like Carney who can turn the game for them. Should be a close one but the Roosters can edge this Sea Eagles -7.5 @ 2.05 centrebet Plenty to like about the performance by the Sea Eagles, and they will be looking to move on from their win over the Roosters last week. The Knights have done well to win their first two games, both on the road, but it is a tough ask of teams to win 3 games on the road, and can see an inspired home side, with Stewart back at fullback, and looking to impose himslef on the game, to be a major reason for their win here. Manly have won 9 of the 11 meetings at home, and like them to win again here

Re: NRL Round 3 Storm 13+ @ 2.75 - Storm have been the form team of the competition, the Cowboys were dreadful last start in front of their home crowd, i think that sort of form on both accounts will make this an easy Melbourne victory.

Re: NRL Round 3 Storm -7.5 @ 2.10 centrebet Pretty impressed by the Storm so far, as they are playing with an attitude based on the debacle of last season. Their big three of Slater, Cronk and Smith have been instrumental in their very good performances, and with the other players playing well, it is no wonder they have won 2 straight games. The Cowboys have relied on Thurston and Bowen for their creativity but they lack the depth that the Storm have, and Bellamy has the boys playing well.
