chala
Merry Xmas everybody:beer Last stupid question from me I promise. I have bought a poker set which comes with 200 chips split into 4 different colours. What would you recommend as a good value for each of these chips? What would you start the blinds at? And how often would you double the blinds?
MFCMark
Re: Value of chips/blinds? Depends totally on how many players you have, and how long you want the game to last.

mrmuzeman
Re: Value of chips/blinds? Ill type some stuff as I play home games myself :ok Regarding blinds - the starting blinds should be quite small. The big blind should be probably about 5% of each persons overall chip count. What I do is just increase the blinds each time a person gets eliminated, that way you dont have to time it or anything. Remember that if the big blind is anymore than 10% of your chip stack, you are technically a short stack. The chip values I dont think should differ greatly in number. For instance no point in having chips with a value of 1 if you have another colour with a value of 100. People simply wont use the 1s. I could suggest perhaps 5, 10, 25 and 50. chala
Re: Value of chips/blinds? cheers mrmuzeman, that sounds pretty good to me:ok I was thinking along the lines of 5,20,50 and 100, but like you say the 5's wouldn't really get used then.
