richard-westwood
Re: SPEED RATINGS mujaazef never turned up at the track saturday and just was poor .....just happens sometimes .........+827 nothing out today ......i originally liked the look of chjimes who has 143 on clock and that is very decent but frequency has 139 on the clock but gets in off a very low weight today and that could inspire a good time and give him the edge hence hes fav today but 5/2 and 3/1 respectively is crap value especially as there a patches of form for the other runners that would give them a shout too so im swerving today
richard-westwood
Re: SPEED RATINGS in the 4.25 ling im having 1pt e.w on negotiation who has recorded 134 recently over 10f and that would give him a shout if the fancied horses dont perform to their best 1pt e.w 20/1 first 2 places
richard-westwood
Re: SPEED RATINGS +825 there are some veryt rappy races today ......wheres reilly should run well and would be a selection but for price being too short (needed 9/2) so im going to take a chance on premier league in the 4.10 south .......he didnt perform brilliantly lto at wolv with lucy barry on board but that could have been due to jockey so with better jockey on board and return to southwell where he recorded a 115 over this 6f which is pretty good for this grade a repeat of that should see him go close today ......the fav has an equal time 115 but has been off for 142 days so i cant back at such a short price so as i see it its a 2 horse race on paper and 4/1 is on offer on premier league .....i expect a good run so 2pts win (ill be having 5pts myself ) 4/
richard-westwood
Re: SPEED RATINGS i used wheres reilly to boost my stakes at 4/1 and have 25pts now going on to premier league now in the 4.10 .......the price was a touch short but 4/1 was just on the do-able side and too tempting especially as he was 11/4 at one stage .....doesnt count for running total ......just my own personal bet today ...... im hoping for a big run ......just dont want a close finish where i lose my 125 points ....nooooooooooooo!:hope

richard-westwood
Re: SPEED RATINGS tomorrows racing : 8.00 kemp al aqabaar has been running well of late and has the best dist form with a 125 but EXCEEDINGLY BOLD ran a very good 135 over 7f lto and runs off the same mark today as opposed to al aqabaars huge rise ......i still expect the fav to run well but exceedingly bold is much better value at 7/1 1pt win 8.30 kemp : i dont like the fav on the cusp ....he ran an ok race lto at southwell but this is a much different track and will have do do a lot more off his revised mark . i like HOLYFIELD WARRIOR and POESMULLIGAN both have recorded in the 130's over 7f here ,poesmulligan didnt run too well from the coffin box lto but still recorded a 120 and had previously recorded a 130 from a better draw so im prepared to give him the benefit with an even better draw today and 20/1 pricetag .....135 should be enough to win this weak race 1pt each holyfield warrior approx 7/1 and poesmulligan 20/
richard-westwood
Re: SPEED RATINGS beaten by a 16/1 today with no a.w form .......that cost me 125 points ....gutted .....just 3/4 of a length
richard-westwood
Re: SPEED RATINGS 2.40 ling today : grey boy and fine ruler have both run in the 130's lately .....both at kempton but they shouldnt find this surface too much trouble ..........fine ruler comes out top of the ratings today on 134 but grey boy is improving so has a shout today ......bookies are being generous and offering 9/2 and 7/1 respectively so 1pt each
richard-westwood
Re: SPEED RATINGS im trying to get some stake money for saturdays big imperial cup race so i can have a shot at another big win so im personally having 5pts each on grey boy boy and fine ruler : this is how im seeing the big race at the moment using my class rating : sire de grdgy +11 grd2 nov (-6 today ) the betchworth kid -3.5 grd 3 (+4) eradicate -5 grd 3 (+5) rebel dancer -2 listed (-) qaspal -3 listed (-) i personally dont like the fav aegean dawn and i will be looking to take him on with a class rating of +4 class b and now 22lbs higher ....hes a no no for me sire de grudgy has only been in novices but won a grade 2 by 11 lengths and is now 6lbs lighter so that puts in at the top as a grade 1 novice ......the betchworth kid is next best as performing best at grade 3 (this is listed ) likewise eradicate -5 grd3 im not sure rebel dancer is even in at this stage but he has performed well at this level in the past so would have a shout likewise qaspal ...an improving horse who is 11lb heavier but won well and will have been laid out specifically for this the betchworth kid has only finished 4th ,13th ,4th from a 1lb lighter mark so no good for me .....likewise eradicate 4th ,6th but 1lb better so e.w shout .rebel dancer gets in off same mark as lto and was running well until falling so benefit of the doubt sire de grudgy stands heads above these at the novice level and i cant see why he will find the transition hard as hes won so easily up to now and could be a potential superstar of the rest qaspal is a dark horse improver so i have it down to: sire de grudgy 10/1 qaspal 16/1 rebel dancer 14/1 qaspal and sire de gridgy are my best 2 so as ive already had a tenner on both ,theres a potential 25-40 points available on todays bets so i might increase the stakes significantly and maybe have a small saver on rebel dancer if possible and that will make saturdays race something to get excited about :clap
richard-westwood
Re: SPEED RATINGS ive had £20 e.w on sweet caroline in the 4.20 catt ......she is the only horse with any kind of speed rating and was available at 6/1 ........must have a fair chance
richard-westwood
Re: SPEED RATINGS no luck yesterday .......there havent been too many really good bets lately that i could get stuck into to but i feel like a go tonight so in the 8.00 kemp im going for RIGHTCAR 8/1 20 PTS E.W HE IS THE ONLY ONE IN THE FIELD WITH A WIN ,HE DIDNT DO TOO WELL LTO BUT THAT COULD HAVE BEEN THE COURSE SO A RETURN TO C/D WHERE HE RAN A 130 PREVIOUSLY AND HAS BEEN OFFICICIALLY DROPPED 2LBS FROM THAT RUN WHERE HE FINISHED 3RD ....HE HAS HIGH DRAW (10) IDEAL SO IF HES GONNA HAVE A BIG RUN THEN TODAYS THE DAY ..........ON COLLATERTAL FORM LINES HE SHOULD WIN HANDS DOWN SO ILL BE VERY DISAPPOINTED INDEED IF HE DOESNT AT LEAST MAKE THE FRAME
richard-westwood
Re: SPEED RATINGS actually i just realised that a win tonight will take me through the 1000 pt profit barrier so thats going to make it much more exciting and i think its got a genuine chance if that last run was just a course blip the horse i fear is jessica wigmo who is better on the c/d and finished 2nd off this mark previously.....well im due some luck as a few have finished 2nd recently!!!:hope 1000pts in 6 weeks ? surely not? richard-westwood
Re: SPEED RATINGS very poor run yesterday .....unbelievably so ...he broke poorly and just didnt recover as a result....being hampered never helped either.....well down to a poor 780 but the tide is definately due to change to got to keep the rhythm: 550 wolv : well deal again and efistorm have both recorded times well above the average for wolverhampton and although others may have better times at other courses ....proven course form remains supreme here so 20 pts win we'll deal again (5/1) ,5 pts saver efistorm (20/1 )
richard-westwood
Re: SPEED RATINGS due to work and family committments i havent been able to maintain the work required to continue this thread unfortunatley as it requires a lot of number crunching and reviewing of the form and if i try to rush these things then mistakes are made so its easier to wrap it up for now rather than pop in sporadically when i can get free.....i have thoroughly enjoyed the last few weeks though and i am still striving to get that big win although at the moment im lucky to even get a bet on as always i am always on the lookout for value and accordingly have had a couple of bets at cheltenham ...... RAITHLIN in the first won his novice hurdle by 15 lengths ,the winner of this race is generally a lightly raced horse with not much hurdle experience ,numerous winners have only had 2 runs prior to coming here over hurdles so are not exposed ,8 out of 12 winners were irish trained and 11 from last 12 ran within 45 days ,raithlin qualifys on all counts and is available at 50/1 !!!!! seems like a good e.w bet to me and cant dispute hes value for money and my other bet is OVERTURN in the champion hurdle .....many people have written this horse off .....but his last run was just too bad to be true .he is the stablemate of peddlers cross so the trainer has a benchmark as to this horses level and the fact that he remains in when he was going to be pulled out suggests he may have been showing better at home .previously he has a collateral formline when he was behind binocular(3 lengths ) and in front of khyber kim (who is 10/1 ) .....with binocular not in a sudden repeat of that performance would actually put him the money today yet he is available at 50/1 !!!!!! a nice e.w bet for me and if hes in form i expect a good run for my money asx the time for that race was very quick and no flash in the pan

richard-westwood
Re: SPEED RATINGS thanks everyone .......i will still pop in and do individual big races when i can but for the forseeable future i will find it very hard to put in the time required to maintain the thread ........yes i think ive shown that it makes sense to take note of speed ratings as another weapon in your bookie artillary .yes its a shame i cant carry it on as i thouroughly enjoy it win or lose ....... but as i said it can take a couple of hours sometimes to crunch all the races and sift the form and im struggling to even get half an hour at the moment ........but like i said there will be times i can and i may well re establish the thread if things change in the near future :cheers
richard-westwood
Re: SPEED RATINGS as my final deathbed ive passed all the data through the spreadsheet including all going allowances and 1 horse jumped off the page with bells on ......WOOLCOMBE FOLLY in the champion ......ran -1 on good sft lto and that is some form i can tell you .....has won 5 of his last 6 races and is priced up at 9/1 !!!!! personally ive had 20 e.w and im looking for a nice payday ......all hes got to do is repeat his last run and he wins as far as im concerned !!!! only reason hes such a price is not having run in this grade but the clock says hes well up to it
