Re: NFL Week Sixteen Picks Thanks AG and Samba SamPa :cheers. Trying to get back to better than 50% for the year as have been pretty ordinary in the first half of the NFL season. The last two weeks have been good so hoping that next week is just as good, but rarely do i have 3 very good weeks in a row. :loon. Anyway, one more to finish off this week. Philly -16.5 @ 2.31 centrebet Expect Philly to come out strong here as a win here secures a first round bye and home field advantage in the playoffs here, otherwise they have to face Dallas on a short week, and this could blow up these plans. They have averaged 34 points per game in their last 7 games, scoring at least 26 points in each of them. One of the main reasons has been the form of QB Vick who has 2.755 passing yards, with 20 TDs and 5 INTs. He can pass and run the ball, as the offence averages 254 passing yards per game (ranked 8th) and 150 rushing yards per game (ranked 3rd). Minnesota have given up 61 points in their last 2 games, and though they allow just 207 passing yards per game (ranked 10th) and 102 rushing yards per game (ranked 8th), they look like they have given up for the season. With a rookie QB likely to be starting, then they are preparing for next year, but Webb looks like he will be in trouble once again tonight after passing for just 129 yards (on 15 of 26 attempts) last week and throwing 2 INTs. Furthermore, with their star RB Peterson out, then another rookie, Gerhart, will get more carries, but he faces a very good rush defence that allows just 103 rushing yards per game (ranked 9th). With Philly also forcing 11 turnovers in their last 4 games, then they can look at starting their very good offence with a shorter field to play with.
