  1. Good to see we're thinking along the same lines on Cardiff and Crawley! (though differently on Reading...) Also think Barnet are a good shout.
  2. Hi all, My bets this weekend: Fulham - preview here. Crawley Town - preview here. Huddersfield - preview here. Tottenham - preview here. Derby - preview here. Southend - preview here. Cardiff - preview here. Hope everyone has successful day!
  3. Haha, wall of shame indeed! Good idea but might be better to do profit to £10 level stakes rather than % success? For example, despite only hitting 40% my selections turned a (small) profit this weekend.
  4. Hi all, A few selections from me: Barnet @ 11/4: preview here. Cardiff @ 12/5: preview here. Crawley @ 7/5: preview here. Wycombe @ 1/1 (now 10/11): preview here. Blackburn @ 3/1 (now 13/5): preview here. Good luck with your bets this weekend! John
  5. Hi all, I think Shrewsbury can upset Fleetwood at 21/10. Preview here. Good luck, John
  6. Certainly Villa's home form makes them rightful favourites. I've got 11/8-12/5-5/2 H-D-A down as fair odds. Leeds win is the least likely outcome but I think they are good value at 3's. Good luck if you're having a bet.
  7. Hi all, Thoughts on Aston Villa vs Leeds tomorrow night. I like the away side at 3/1. The round of matches on Boxing Day marked the end of the 1st half of the Championship season, with all sides having played 23 of their 46 games. When predicting the outcome of matches in the 2nd half, it is important to consider the result of the game played between two sides earlier in the season. Leeds beat Aston Villa 2-0 at the start of December and may be overpriced to do the same again tomorrow night at Villa Park. The rest of the preview is here.
  8. Hi all, At 4/1, I think Barnet are a big enough price vs Luton. The young management team of Rossi Eames and Harry Newman oversaw their 3rd game in charge of Barnet when winning at Cheltenham on Monday. That win was a 2nd success in 3 matches and another at Luton on Saturday will surely be enough for them to secure their jobs on a permanent basis. The latest victory also extended Barnet’s excellent away record which reads 5-4-2 win-draw-loss. Rest of the preview here. Thanks John
  9. Hi all, My bets for Boxing Day: Barnet @ 13/5. Preview here. Scunthorpe @ 5/2. Preview here. Reading @ 19/10. Preview here. Chesterfield @ 19/4. Preview here. Crawley Town @ 11/4. Preview here. Cheers, John
  10. QPR vs Aston Villa Fans at Loftus Road on Wednesday night witnessed a QPR side that was very unfortunate to lose to the high-flying Derby. Steve McClaren’s Debry had won their previous 6 games heading into the clash so the slim defeat was no disgrace for QPR. They took charge of the game and had more sights at goal – on another day they easily could have won the tie. Read more here.
  11. Wolfsburg vs Eintracht Frankfurt @ 2/1 Niko Kovac has done an excellent job since taking over at Frankfurt. Last season, his side won 3 of their final 4 league matches and then secured a play-off victory to remain in the top division. And since confirming their status in the Bundesliga, Frankfurt haven’t looked back. They’ve started the season in fantastic form and currently sit 5th, with 26 points and a 7-5-2 win-draw-loss record. It is no wonder that Kovac was recently awarded a contract extension. Read more here.
  12. Crawley Town vs Newport County Crawley Town made one of the more interesting managerial appointments of the year, handing the reins to ex-Chelsea academy manager Dermot Drummy. The Crawley post is Drummy’s first in senior management but having won the under-21 Premier League title with his Chelsea youngsters, it’s clear that the 55 year old brings plenty of experience and expertise to the position. Read more here. Northampton Town vs Rochdale Northampton and Rochdale go in to Saturday’s clash on the back on contrasting results. The home side were unceremoniously dumped out
