Ah, what a day this is shaping up to be. Nick could've taken the first set, but oh well. Let's see what Pouille and Isner do and if a profit can still be salvaged from this tournament .

Milos Raonic vs Stan Wawrinka - Wawrinka to win @ 2.10 with SportingBet
I'm surprised to see Wawrinka as the underdog here. Yes, Raonic has won their last two clashes (the last one in the Australian Open, 2016), but they are now both coming back from injury and I will be happy to back the "Stan train" here. The way he easily won against Dimitrov was great.

    bbc quote ...
The world number 30 was trailing 6-4 3-0 and threatening to quit the second-round match when Mohamed Lahyani climbed down from his chair, saying he wanted to "help" him.
Kyrgios went on to win 4-6 7-6 (8-6) 6-3 6-0 and plays Roger Federer next.
Herbert said Lahyani should be punished as his actions were not "appropriate".
"I think this was not his job. I don't think he's a coach, he's an umpire, and he should stay on his chair for that," the Frenchman said.
"If he makes a mistake, I think he should be also punished. He doesn't make that many mistakes, and I think he's a really good umpire."

That whole episode is just F----g ridiculous. He got out of his chair and encouraged Kyrigos to start playing. That's not his damn job. His job is to sit in his chair and control the activity, not to actively participate. The ump should be banned from the tour.
When I saw that Aussie clown tanking ...was basically out, done and buried, pulling his groin, looking like he was 3 s_ts behind,  I loaded up on Herbert.  Kyrigos was done and dusted. Fkg ump intervention revives him and cost me over 200 pounds. Just outrageous !  If the guy is not trying to bad.  Same as that French Clown Paire against Federer. Damn show binkies !   Then you look at Kevin Andersen, who has half the talent, but 5 times the desire, drive, commitment and belief.

@owenclass I've no idea about Giorgi - Williams, depends on who's going to have more luck painting the lines.
    For Thursday:
Jelena Ostapenko (vs. Townsend) + Diego Schwartzman (vs. Munar) at 1.79 with Bet365
I was a bit surprised that Townsend managed to get past the first round given the conditions, but Ostapenko should just be too strong for her with her easy power and better movement in the second. Meanwhile, Schwartzman is just miles above Munar and the Spaniard might feel the effects of the five-setter against Bemelmans as well, so there's that.
Fabio Fognini (-1.5 sets) to beat John Millman at 2.04 with Sbobet
Fognini clowned around a bit as expected against Mmoh, but he got the job done easily enough in the end and this might be a repeat of that. One can't really back Fognini to beat anyone 3-0, but Millman doesn't seem to be in any shape or form to seriously trouble the Italian right now.
Alex De Minaur to beat Francis Tiafoe at 2.36 with Pinnacle
This looks like a complete coin-flip to me, so going with the higher price, not much else to be added honestly. It's nice that Alex De Minaur won their only previous meeting though.

two amazing young talents very closely matched neither of which knows when they're beaten.
this is the Russian's 7th game in a week and I still believe the Greek's successful year will have taken it's toll.
taken together I'm going for a correct score punt.

Have to say watched a few matches today in the girls, as I find these are the matches that are not cut and dried as the mens. Some players Ive never seen before playing good stuff, Kanepi played really well, had Halep running all over the shop. Kalinskaya another young player, played really well but just came up against Goerges in a better mindset than the previous Goerges, but the standard in the tennis very good when you actually watch these players that you never consider as having a chance against the bigger names.

Ekaterina Makarova to beat Karolina Pliskova at 2.62 with bet365
Ekaterina can always be a hard opponent to face and I think Karolina isn't as good as previous years. She's been bad since she became no.1 for that short period at the top. Ekaterina has always given her best in Connecticut and Karolina doesn't have the best of records in Connecticut. I suspect a small upset may be on the cards here.

@CzechPunter Agree with Shapovalov, must try at this odds.
What is your thoughts about Careno-Busta against Haase. I pretty Shure that Dutch shoot all his bullets in last few games, but haven't seen any Pablo's games because don't wanna risk big.
For me best double for this round looks like [email protected]+Sabalenka to win a [email protected]=2.35 at WilliamHill
I like Sabalenka's serve and how she is fighting. But again, haven't watched any Garcia's game recently.
If you will share your opinion about my bet I will be very thankful. @CzechPunter

I am not agree about Wawrinka. Swartzman has no big wins on hard so far, he is good fighter, but nothing more. On other side Wawrinka doesn't need advertising, ok he is after injury, but to beat Kyrgios and Fuscovics who are good players, it's mean something to me. He had good fight with Nadal as well. So seems he is back. And there will be easy victory against Argentinian one.
Plus looking to bet on Kontoveit, as if she will show at least 2/3 of her power, she must beat Chech veteran easily.
Double for me today: Wawrinka+Kontoveit @3.8
    Good luck!!!

Even though the match isn't finished it still looks like Fabio Fognini is a little bit to good for Cam Norrie so next bet...
Henri Laaksonen (-3.5) to beat James Ward at 2.30 with Pinnacle
Henri beat Yibing Wu last time out and he did so convincingly without losing a service game. James Ward saved 6/7 breakpoints against world no.340 Roman Safiullin and that's not good enough to beat a guy like Henri and it's gonna take a lot for James not to drop serve more then once. So this looks like a match Henri should win without having mutch problems. James is not good right now and he should struggle big time here. Everytime James loses a match this season no matter where the opponent is ranked he loses often by atleast one double break and the same should happen here. He's losses this season have all come by at least 4 games to Jordan Thompson, Benjamin Bonzi, Ilya Ivashka, Sergiy Stakhovsky, Hiroki Moriya, Evan Furness, Harri Heliovaara, Filip Peliwo, Manuel Sanchez and more.

Michael Mmoh to beat Peter Polansky at 1.666 with Pinnaclesports
Michael is simply just the better player here. Peter had some issues with Daniel Elahi Galan and he didn't play well but Daniel started to make huge mistakes in third set and practically gave the match away although I have to give credit to Peter who turned in an ultra defensive performance at times and served pretty well but still it was a lot about the colombian giving many points away in third set that allowed Peter to turn things around. They have met once on hard in a challenger final which Michael won 2 years ago pretty easily in 3 sets (6-1 in the decider). Michael is the more promising player here who has been knocking on the top 100 door for a while now and I see him as a future top 100 player defenitely while Peter just hangs around 110-150. Both these players have the chance here to gain a lot in their quest for a top 100 ranking but Michael has more talent and that means he doesn't have problems when it comes to finding good angles and difficult shots. He's already been in an ATP quarter final this season and should be able to find his way to it again.
Amanda Anisimova to beat Mihaela Buzarnescu at 2.17 with Pinnaclesports
Amanda the reigning US open junior champ still only 16 years old, turns 17 august 31 and already possesses shotmaking that makes her a possible star in the future. I say possible because I don't dare to make any bold predictions about her future but still she's only 16 and can already blow anyone off the court including the romanian Mihaela who also had big problems in her first round match against Sachia Vickery. I see big things happening in the near future for Amanda and this is like her last also a winnable match for her.
Sam Querrey (-1.5 sets) to beat Egor Gerasimov at 1.63 with Pinnaclesports
I don't see where these odds come from. Egor could be a joke in this match if he doesn't get his first serve going and he only beat Bernard Tomic because he didn't show up or just came to say I don't feel like playing which looked like it was the case that it's so often has been with Bernard. He gave away a match to someone who never even had won an ATP maindraw match. Egor had played I think 1 time at ATP level maindraw before Los Cabos and tried to qualify without success a few times. He's not good. Sam is the reigning champ in Los Cabos and he only needs to show up with his B game to win this but I prefer that he shows up with his A game.
Sofia Kenin to beat Johanna Konta at 3.51 with Pinnaclesports
Overrating Jo Konta mutch? Sofia is given 3.26 even though she's ranked 68 at 19 years old. She's started to make big progress on faster surfaces this season Sofia so I'd watch out for her unless it's clay where she hasn't had mutch success. I don't know what happened with Serena but I'm not making a big thing out of that win by Jo Konta that's for sure. Sofia is on the rise and will continue to be dangerous when playing on hard or grass.

Denis Istomin to beat Philipp Kohlschreiber at 3.62 with Pinnaclesports
Denis owns a 5-2 record in this matchup and has beaten Philipp on clay 2014 in Munich and they met on the grass of Stuttgart this season and Denis won 7-6 7-6. Denis has played some good tennis so far last days coming through the qualies and managing to beat Federico Delbonis pretty nicely in straight sets. Philipp may be the reigning champ in Kitzbuhel but he's got obvious problems with Denis and coming into the tournament without having played a match can always be tough against a dangerous player like Denis. Philipp lost in Hamburg first round last match to the champ Niko Basil and his season hasn't been all that good so there's every chance he'll be in a heap of trouble tomorrow.

I fully disagree with you.  What makes him 100% American? Firstly you are always what your father is regardless of where you are born. He originates from an Indian seed. Fact! So that 100% declaration is out the window. Rajeev was born in Chenai by Indian parents and cannot be described as anything else. Indians even more than Africans always ensure that they bring their children up in the traditional way instilling all their values into their children. I can guarantee you that rajeev speaks the language and will 9 times out of 10 stick to cultural values and stay in a relationship with a girl of similar background.

Tom Jomby to beat Tom Fawcett at 2.75 with bet365
I'm having trouble seeing Tom Jomby going out after he's clinically sent out Reilly Opelka. This Winnetka challenger is full of upsets but having Jomby as underdog to wild card Tom Fawcett is something I can't understand. 27 year old Tom Jomby playing at protected ranking with current ranking 501 and career high 337 achieved 2015 meets Tom Fawcett 22 year old wild card ranked 764 and career high 725 achieved in april this season after a successfull winter. With semifinal in Calabasas F8 futures losing to Marcos Giron and before that qualifying for Newport challenger after beating Jason Jung, Chris Eubanks and Marcos Giron and at the time Eubanks were ranked 323 and Jung 235. Now both are or have been top 200 since Eubanks have fallen a few spots off his career high 183. But even though Fawcett has been on the move this season I have to try a bet on Jomby. Also Fawcett is coached by experienced former ATP player Paul Goldstein with 11 hardcourt challenger titles and career high 65 in 2006 and 85 wins and 115 loses on the regular tour.

    NICHOLAS JARRY VS KRAJINOVIC
This on the face of it looks very wide open but not without some pointers. Firstly in my humble opinion 4/9  3/10 & 8/13 all come from the same stock of wigi board craft. Secondly, I would not require any assistance with mathematical probability to help me reach a decision in this sort of seemingly open affair. One man from Chile and the other from Serbia on a grass court speaks volumes. I agree that match practice is invaluable in terms of getting a player ready for a tournament. But I guess that is why we are human and distinct and unique species. Some players just do not conform to those fundamental rules. Take Radwanska for example, she returned from a long break only to continue spanking those who had already benefitted from match practice. Jarry played one match on grass and I do not think it puts him in any point of advantage to be considered the winner of this match. At 7/4 and being the higher seed, I believe Krajinovic looks primed for victory here. I will be quite shocked if this man called Jarry wins this. Good luck all!!!

Aldin Setkic (+3.5) to beat Duck Hee Lee at 1.78 with Pinnacle
This looks like a fairly big line to me, as Duck Hee Lee has been struggling big time so far in this season. Yes, he did well in the French Open qualifiers for some reason, but he returned to his poor performances right after that, being shaky even against Takahashi today. Setkic beat him in similar conditions last year and I fancy him to keep the scoreline tight here as well.

Fernando Verdasco to beat Taylor Fritz at 1.67 with Paddy Power
This should be the end of Taylor Fritz in Indian Wells. First opponent that can actually return his serve and one that's also playing well at the moment, having lost only against Diego Schwartzman recently. There might be a TB or two here, but I fancy Verdasco to come out on top eventually.
Aliaksandra Sasnovich (+6) to beat Caroline Wozniacki at 1.85 with Pinnacle
Sasnovich obviously isn't getting as much attention as Wozniacki, but she's made a lot of progress over the last year or so and I think that she already has what it takes to trouble the big names in conditions that allow her to set up the big shots. I'm not sure that she has the mentality to win a match like this, but she certainly has enough power to hit through Wozniacki, so I'm happy with the +6 handicap. The +5.5 one is playable as well, but I'm happy to pay the premium for the additional safety in this case.

    Serena Williams-Kiki Bertens
    Bertens +5.0 games (AH) 2/10
Well its always hard for going against the GOAT but she is nowhere near her levels yet. She is slower and i think less powerful atm. She will be better and better and might win a Grand Slam this year. But I don't think that she can ease past Kiki right now. Kiki played 2 game against Serena in the biggest stages (french open and us open) and she almost get a set each one and was very competitve. Right now Kiki also is not in form but surely she can challenge 'this' Serena here. These slower hard courts is ok for Kiki too because she prefers slower ones. I think we will see a good match here.

Guys, a lot of you underestimate Venus.   She won 3 times Wimledon,so for me she is the big varorite here. Yes, Ostapenko is playing good tennis but for me the experience will dominate...
    Other three:
Muguruza - Kuznetsova - OVER the games
Both want to continue in the next round, both are fighters and I expect tight match.
Konta - Halep - Halep to continue
I was a little negative on Hapep game, but after yesterday game against Azarenka I think she can win here.
Rybarikova - Coco - Coco to continue
Nothing much to say. Coco is the better player for me.

    Great to see so many differing opinions That's what it's all about. My two penneth;
    Garbine Muruguza to win 2-0 - 2.37
Svetlana has had a mightily impressive tournament but think it comes to an end here. Two tough sets.
    Coco Vandeweghe to win 2-0 - 2.10
Again, great tournament from Rybarikova but felt like the energy reserves were beginning to run dry vs. Martic.
Venus Williams vs. Jelena Ostapenko Over 2.5 Sets - 2.37
Good luck picking this one! We know Venus can switch off for sets and Jelena doesn't know when she's beat on this current run. Expect 3 sets and the UE/W counts through the roof.
Johanna Konta vs. Simona Halep Over 2.5 Sets - 2.25
Konta has arguably played the best tennis of the tournament but Halep so talented and on a mission after RG disappointment. Both prone to a choke; see it going the distance.
