    Yup...this really doesn't make sense.

If I undestand correctly they plan to insert Madrid and Rome Masters in between USO and RG. What this mean is that we will have 6 weeks of top tennis after a 5,6 months of break...not to mention changing continents and surfaces..of course there is possibility that all tournaments will be played, but the question is who will play them?

This is crazy i think..i hope there is someone who will say "stop this madness!"

    Köln v Leipzig
    Betting suggestion:
Leipzig -1 @1,92 Pinnacle Leipzig & over 2,5 goals @1,81 Pinnacle Short preview:  Tonight at 20:30 on RheinEnergieStadion we will see the last match of the 29th round of Bundesliga, where will 11th placed Köln host 5th Leipzig. Hosts are still in a miserable form since the Bundesliga returned, as they won only two points in three matches. That might not be as bad as it sounds when you know the names of their opponents - Mainz, Fortuna, and Hoffenheim. Of course, they lost against Hoffenheim, but they were surely counting on more points from the first two matches. On the other side, we have Leipzig that missed the chance of jumping up to the second Dortmund in the last round - they failed against Hertha (2-2), and now they are sitting on the edge of the places that lead to the Champions League. As said yesterday for Gladbach, there is no place for mistakes as every single lost point will count almost double in the last matches. Both, Gladbach and Leverkusen are one point in front of Leipzig at the moment, so there will be nothing else than 3 points in their heads. Players of Köln can be calm for now, as they are 7 points ahead of the 18th Fortuna Düsseldorf, but I am not even counting on that too much here, as we could easily understand it in the way that there will be more pressure on shoulders of Leipzig and they won't be able to perform at their best, but Leipzig wants to become one of the teams that will standardly participate in Champions League and they definitely possess the quality to do so. Therefore, my main reason why I am suggesting to be on the side of "Red Bulls" here is not just because they simply must win this match, but also because they have much more quality in the team. As usual, they still have some problems with injuries, but their squad is gigantic. Nagelsmann can rotate among a high number of quality players they can adapt to different styles of football and I believe that their last match against Hertha simply wasn't their best day and that they will perform at the much higher level tonight against Köln. Bulls will be without red-carded Halstenberg who has let the team down against Hertha and still injured Ampadu, Konate and Poulsen. Nagelsmann was happy to get Kampl back in the first two matches "post-corona" but it looks like the midfielder picked up another injury and is doubtful for the match. Köln on the other hand, will miss suspended Bornauw, and injured Czichos. Other options are also Leipzig to score in both halves, priced around 2,20, or Leipzig team totals over 2 @1,74.

DrO got a reaction from Teodore in Serbian Super League Predictions > 2019/20
So,football is coming back this weekend in Serbian "Super" League..and funny thing is that the first match is between Vojvodina and Cukaricki, which was actually last fixture i tipped on this topic back in October.

I won't write about these two clubs again..you have all written in that post..i however fancy Vojvodina again even though there will be no audience. There are three reasons why i believe that the home side will prevail.
First, even without home supporters.i think Vojvodina is very strong on the "Karadjordje" Stadium in Novi Sad. On the other hand..Cukaricki haven't won a single match on the road since October 2019..pretty poor record for the team this quality if you ask me..
Secondly,Cukaricki will have some absences in the squad..three very important midfielders are out due to injuries and suspensions. Vojvodina will have full squad available.
Finally, from what i read in Serbian newspaper,i understood that Cukaricki is much more interested in the Cup competition than League..they have very big match upcoming on Wednesday against Radnicki Nis on home ground. It's a quarter-final stage of the Cup and it's seems like they got more focus on that match..of course Vojvodina will also play on Wednesday but against a weaker opponent..Vojvodina still has bigger motive in the "Super" League, trying to finish the season as runner-ups.

    So,for me Vojvodina @1.90 2pt (local bookie)

( @StevieDay1983 Hajduk Lion still exist, they are now in a lower Regional League of Belgrade..something like 4th or even 5th Division..)

Serbian players are also quite busy these days trying to put tennis back on the map.

In his Tennis Academy Janko Tipsarevic will organize Eastern European Championship..now don't be fooled by the name of a event because there will be some participants from other parts of the Continent as well..
In the mens draw so far are confirmed players like Miomir Kecmanovic,Viktor Troicki,Laslo Djere,Damir Dzumhur,Dusan Lajovic,Nikoloz Basiashvili,Ricardas Berankis,Alejandro Davidovich Fokina..with Filip Krajinovic,Borna Coric and Marin Cilic are also expected to enter to venue.

As for the womens part..Dalila Jakupovic,Jana Fett,Irina Begu,Patricia Maria Tig,Danka Kovinic,Olga Danilovic,Jasmine Paolini,Tamara Zidansek are so far on the list..

Tournament will start on June,15 in Belgrade.

But..but that's not all folks. Even bigger event is coming in the organization of World number one,Novak Djokovic. It's called "Adria Tour" and it will last from June 13 to July 5. This event will take place in several places of the region: Novak's Tennis Center (Belgrade) 13/14 June,Zadar (Croatia) 21/22 June, Montenegro 27/28 June, Banjaluka (Bosnia and Hercegovina) 3/4 July, with one more exhibition match between Novak Djokovic and Damir Dzumhur in Sarajevo on 5th the July.
Except Novak Djokovic, who is going to play all this two-days tournaments, biggest names are Dominic Thiem and Grigor Dimitrov. Of course,a majority of the Serbian and Croatian players are expected to take part..and more players from Europe.

It's a shame that Janko and Novak didn't find a way to join forces and create one event, but there you go..we'll have two of them. And both of them will be televised.

Be interesting to see what happens from here.  Don't think there's much chance we will actually get back underway in April.  China's league is still shutdown and their main outbreak was in January.  They are saying the peak is 12-14 weeks away in the UK, so could be months before anything starts up again.
If I was a Liverpool fan i'd be seriously concerned that this season might be voided.  As a spurs fan, that outcome would be fine for me!
I hope lower league clubs are able to survive without any gate income for the next few weeks.  Be a real shame if one or more go out of business over this.
Guess this place is going to be pretty quiet for a few weeks so hope everyone stays fit and well and hopefully we'll be back soon.

Yeah, it all depends on the specific conditions they have with the sponsor I guess. No tickets might mean less income, but not having a tournament also means lost TV revenues and such things.

Probably because of financial issues? No fans = no seling tickets. No sold tickets = less money incom for the tournament organizers.
I guess that they've somehow calculated that this way their money lost will be smaller.

I'd hope that at least something goes ahead, even if it happens without spectators. Tennis is such a global sport that most fans watch and don't really travel anyway. Ticketing is important for the biggest events I reckon, but the smaller ones can do easily without ticket purchases, even if that means slightly reduced prize money. I'd say there's a very good chance Miami gets cancelled and then something in Europe, but, if things develop as they should, the French Open is in little danger as of now.

Also,a Spanish newspaper "Marca" announces the cancellation of the tournaments in Miami, Montecarlo and Rome. The entire spring tennis season is about to be canceled.

A ridiculous decision, but there we are, left with two Challengers for the week 😵. Edit: Just for the record, I think it's ridiculous mainly because 1) all the big American sports are still going ahead in packed arenas 2) they could've played without spectators if they were afraid of that 3) canceling it so close to the event after essentially everyone has already traveled there?.

Actually some games have now been postponed:
This is probably the only gameweek they will be able to get away with it though and fixtures after this week will have to be played behind closed doors rather than postponed due to rescheduling issues.

Nothing on official Lazio or Napoli twitter about it. I think most games are going ahead in Serie A this round but will be played behind closed doors. This coronavirus thing could go on for a couple of months and no league can realistically suspend games for that length of time so they will have to go ahead minus the spectators as and when need be.

I didn't see today's semi yet, but, from what I saw in Djokovic against Federer and in Thiem against Nadal, I feel that Thiem has a real chance. Djokovic was returning well against Raonic and Federer, but his baseline game was lacking, while Thiem's is spot on imo. The one additional day off shouldn't be too significant, Thiem is as fit as ever, so I think that we are in for a good contest that isn't going to finish 3-0 Novak, that would surprise me a lot. At the current odds, I think Thiem has to be the matchline pick value-wise.

call the coast guard for @DrO also.. I guess this round of picks is pretty tough.. Last round was a bettors lottery dream.. there was so many good bets... it was hard to choose one.. that can be a problem sometimes.. It happens alot.. I can't decide which option to take, and then everything wins.. Really not a good feeling, but i got a bit lucky in the first round.

    Got it!

The thing is..Djere is very bad on HC. Even on this slower HC. The other day I was reading an interview in Serbian Newspaper in which he said : I'm already thinking about defending points in Rio de Janeiro. It is clear that he is not with his head completely in Melbourne. I get the impression that Melbourne is just a stopover for him,a check-point of some kind and that he's here just to collect prize money..but now with this Nishioka's health/fatigue issues it's probably best to skip this one.
