Sorry mate, I've had a cold recently so haven't had a chance to do much in-depth analysis on games. If I have time this week I will post again.

I wondered where you were!  (I wouldn't go as far as to say I missed you:loon)

Hope you feel better soon.  I've had it too over the last week, just about going now. Anyway, thanks that would be good to get your input. I need to get back to winning ways this weekend.

  2. Listen up people......

I'll make a bold statement and say that Brighton could beat Arsenal at the weekend.

We have been playing some great football recently, and confidence is high. All the squad want to play in every match, especially the upcoming cup game at Old Trafford. CH has a real selection headache at the moment, as all the strikers are scoring!

We played great against an inproving Swabsea side, who themselves have beaten the Gunners recently.

Arsenal, are looking toothless at the moment, and their new players have yet to get going. Brighton have a really tough April/May with games agianst Spurs, Liverpool, Manure, Palace & Man City (rearranged from the 18th March)

Brighton have to get some points on the board now and we have Arsenal, Leicester & Huddersfield at home over the next few weeks, so expect some good performances as they try and reach safety. The gap could be widening as teams start to drop away in March.

Ive not been inpressed with Arsenal recently, especiallywith their lack of goals in big games.

@Mindfulness Any value in the Brighton DC@ 2.05?

    BTTS looks a great bet@ 1.7

EDIT- Since posting this, I have just found out that Arsenal are playing City again on Thursday. Also, I picked up the RFO this morning and they are all over Brighton on the DC.. Figaro makes the Brighton win 7/5 (2.40), so it would suggest some definite value here this weekend.

  3. I'm with the thought of BTTS here. However, I don't like backing short odds, so may  swerve the fixed odds.

Spreadex go for 55-58.for the first Gunners goal. I'd be tempted to say that they should score before the 55th minute. But they have let me down at Wembley in the Spurs game, spurning some glorious chances to get me in profit.

ill probably put that behind me, and go with my gut feeling.

  4. Brighton V. Swansea

This is another game where both teams need the points. Both teams are on a decent run of form, and I couldn't split the result between the two. Perhaps the draw may be worth backing here.

However, as with the last game I think the value will lie in BTTS. Swansea will come here knowing it's a game they have a realistic chance of getting 3 points from. Brighton are at home, and will want the first goal to settle things down.

No major injury worries for the home team either, with everyone available, and record signing Locadia should be itching to go after scoring on his debut.

    BTTS@ 2.2 (B365)

    @andrewcalo what do you think?

  5. Spreadex go the following on early goals

    Liverpool  33-36

    Bournemouth 48-51

    Leicester 44-47

i'd be surprised if we didnt see the home teams score in the first half in these games. Liverpool usually oblige at home, and W east Ham shouldn't prove too tough to crack early on.. Stoke need wins, and will need to get at Leicester which should play into the home sides hands. Mahrez could be starting for them too. Bournemouth & Newcastle both need the points too, and the Cherries will be at them from the off.

Really can't be doing with backing results any more after Derby & Fulham both let me down midweek.

  6. BTTS @ O2.5 looks a good bet to me.

perhaps even an early goal, as Arsenal won't play the defensive game like Wigan. Both team should be at it from the off, although the last time Arsenal played at Wembley they couldn't find the back of the net. I'd trust that they will have learnt from this

Both managers will be desperate for the silverware though, Pep will be smarting after being knocked out of the FA Cup, Wenger will want at least a trophy to appease the fans and restore his credibility.

ill have a look to see what value there is about.

We won't support anything to do with Skybet under current ownership, they're an absolute disgrace.

    Have they upset you?

lets face it, they aren't popular with everyone. And their bubble will burst eventually, as you no longer need a Sky dish to watch live sport. Amazon, Apple, Google, Netflix, they are the new kids on the block who will want a slice of the pie.

We (we!) could run a similar thing next season?

Just posted this in my (seemingly cursed, follow with caution) "daily spread" thread:

"Derby v Leeds: Buy hotshots for 1 point at 28 with SPIN (Vydra, Lawrence, Lasogga and Roofe)

I'd rather have Nugent than Lawrence but still a bet for me at the price. Obviously possible to lose the maximum 28 points but I think there's a decent prospect of at least one goal from these players and am willing to risk that there may be more."

Hopefully posting on the main thread improves my luck! :)

Let's hope so,seems to be heading in the right direction.

i sold the time of the first Derby goal at 48. Seems late for a home team against poor opposition. Market closed at 45, so it just squeaked over the line for a profit.

Typicla the Wolves & Bristol games both had early goals.

    I understand completely:ok

Off topic but money management has surprised me this season which makes me think the majority don't take it as serious as you might think.

Will have a poll at the end of the season to see where we are going on a couple of things.

Do we bring back divisional promotions and relegations??

It does add some tactical betting into the competition, its just the eliminations play havoc with it sometimes and you end up having 6 going up from the lower divs etc..... We will see.

I cant believe how seriously I am now taking this competition, Its made me take a lot more thought over my selections.

Imlike the idea of promotion & relegation, but perhaps there should be a qualifying round first, with punters seeded according to their finishing positions.

Great credit to you @BillyHills I can only imagine how much time this all takes. Thanks:notworthy
