Good shout @StevieDay1983 on the Wigan game, let's face it, it was never in doubt was it!
I made an 11 point profit tonight. Bought at 14, sold at 25, shame about the 5 yellows otherwise it could have been better.

See you are playing safe now Stevie, (with the goals and corner)s, after your shocker of a weekend in the cup
-
The market has moved to 10-14, so I have now bought Wigans performance for 14@ 0.5

Thanks for the posts and feedback, I'll appreciate any guidance you can give me.Ive learnt alot this saeson from other members on here. So its been a useful season, although i cant get my bank over £50 this season, its been frickin dire!
I started my account with Spreadex at £20, and its currently at £30. I have a good points profit, but I havent been using level stakes. My stakes have been ranging from 10p-£1. So I am just using it as a learning curve really.
I seem to have a knack for goals at the moment, results have killed me, so I will stick to that.
I am tempted to go with buying Wigans performance tonight. Spread ex have it at 8-12. We only need 3 corners to break even, a goal would see us in profit. Backing Newports and Rochdales performances would have returned a healthy profit.
Paul Cook likes to play football, and they should give it a good go tonight in front of the cameras

apparently they have relaid the pitch
Yep, I didn't realise till after the game, wow what a match, Rochdale were superb today.

My spread betting track record on here hasn't been great of late but I've bought bookings at 19 at half time in Rochdale v Spurs. With Spurs a goal down I strongly fancy 2 or more yellow cards being shown.
Unlucky with the Cov goal, but only a small loss. Looks like you made it back up with the cards tho, see ther were 4 in all
since I started spread betting, 18 days ago, I am up 109pts.

Little value for me today in the Spurs game.
Spurs struggled on Newports pitch & Milwall struggled on the beach at Spotland. Can't see it being a great game, but Spurs should win comfortably.
i'd go U2.5 if you pushed me!

Given the above and your recent comments re spread betting, a sell of time of 1st Coventry goal at 72 might not be a bad bet!
I used to like looking at that market for cup underdogs who I fancied to "outrun their odds" years ago.
I think you're right, on paper it would have been a sensible bet. But as it was a cup game, I only did the BTTS with B365.
My spread bet was to buy Plymouth performance for 21, making a 9point profit.
im selling Copenhagens first goal today ,@53. They are away at top of the table Midtjyland. Should be a cracker of a game with BTTS & O2.5 in the last 5/5 meetings between these 2. You've got to fancy the away side scoring before the 53rd min?

£10 treble
All BTTS
Shrewsbury v Rotherham @ 1.95
Doncaster v Fleetwood @2.00
Cheltenham v Wycombe @1.66
CHE V WYC is 1.61 if you don't mind!
Cant have anyone sneaking an extra 0.05 in at this crucial stage of the season
-
OXFORD V PLYMOUTH (2) 2.80
SHEFF WEDS V SWANSEA (2) 2.25
CHELTENHAM V WYCOMBE BTTS 1.61
£10 TREBLE PLEASE

BRIGHTON V COVENTRY
This looks set to be a cracking cup tie, with Coventry bringing over 4000 to the Amex, and a crowd expected to be well over 25,000. Lets face it, there isnt much difference between the size of the clubs, only their respective league poistions that separate them.
Brighton could be unleashing their new £16m striker, Jurgen Locadia for his first game, with Leo Ulloa the other main striker vying for a starting place. Even with a second string line up, Brighton will have a quality starting 11.
Although Coventry cant be taken lightly, with such a large vocal support, and a team full of confidence, they will fancy their chances too.
I'd like to think that Brighton have the superior quality to go through, but they havent played well in this competition so far, despite reaching the 5th round.
I wouldnt be surprised if Coventry caused an upset (I remember it happened before!!), and I think that neither team have anything to lose, and the winner will only be 90mins from Wembley if they get past this round.
Brighton are too short to back at 1.33, so I would go for
Coventry to win@ 12.0 (why not, its the cup!)
BTTS@ 2,5 (Looks a value bet to me)
@skyblues88, did you manage to get a ticket, and what do think your chances are?

Bloody hell! It was a 4 goal thriller, 10 corners, 2 penalties & 5 cards! As soon as the early goal went in I knew it was going to be a bad night.
luckily I was also banking on City to score before the 44th minute, so losses weren't as bad as could have been
Going to roll my sleeves up, dust myself off and go again.......

The general consensus seems to be that the JUV V TOT match will be a low scoring tight affair. I can't see past that being the case either, and there are a couple of bets with Spreadex that have caught my eye.
im enjoying Spread betting. I've got nowhere for 2 seasons with fixed odds, and this is proving to be better for me.
Match Performance 88-93
Made up of the following
Goal=15, Corner =3, Yellow card =5,Red card =15, Penalty=10, 0-0 = -25
if it is a tight affair as we all expect, even with a goal or 2, then we could be in profit. Only a 4/5 goal thriller with a host of corners and cards could see us lose, and I just can't see that happen. So I am going for the sell here.
Bet - Sell match performance for 1pt at 88-93
-
I'm thinking the same for this game @StevieDay1983
A slow burner. Neither team wanting to be behind for the 2nd leg

Some good posts here today.
Spreadex have set the time of the first Arsenal goal at 51mins. I'd be surprised if they didn't score in the first half, perhaps even taking the lead early on. Their January signings will relish the big stage that Wembley offers. This game should have plenty of goals, and I think that this offers the best route to a decent profit.
Sell time of first Arsenal goal at 51mins for 1pt
Although I have also taken BTTS & O2.5@ 1.7. with B365
Well I think this game shafted everyone's coupon nicely this week!
losses of 39ponts thanks to the Misfiring Gunnnefs!

STOKE V BRIGHTON
I know everyone has this as an unders game, but there is no point in either team playing for a point. Brighton's last match featured 4 goals, and the reverse fixture featured 4 goals.
i can see goals in this match, especially with the increased competition in the striking department at Brighton.
id be surprised if Brighton got beat too, so have taken the following bet with B365
BRIGHTON DNB@ 2.25

Tolouse V PSG (2)@ 1.2
£20 treble please

Thanks for your thought on the Brighton game. I think I will avoid it too, as it's the sort of game where anything can happen.

can you be having Cardiff as underdogs against MILWALL on Friday?
They had a tough midweek trip to Rochdale & only have 2 days rest. They were awful too from what I heard. Cardiff should be too fresh for them surely?
-
Any value in Brighton on +0.5@ 1.7?
Locadia should be fit & ready after his £16m move, Ulloa raring to go too. Think it certainly kept Glenn & Gross on their toes last week and could do the same again this week?

Provisionally, I would come back to add odds and reasoning once I have done some research.
Spurs - Arsenal: BTTS & O2.5
Soton - Liverpool: 2
Stoke - Brighton: U2.5
Swansea - Burnley: U2.5
West Ham - Watford: BTTS
Newcastle - United: BTTS NO or 2 & U2.5
Could see Bournemouth beating Huddersfield and the odds are nice @ 2.30 odd
You're pretty much thinking along the same lines as me. Although the one change for me may be to put SOU V LIV as BTTS. The new signings for the Saints look prettty decent and they may start picking points up soon. Liverpool could win it though, but I am finding goals better than results at the moment.

FFS, I should have learnt my lesson from MILWALL, they always let me down. From now on they will go into my my little black book, and come the day of the revolution, they will be first up against the wall...........
i almost had Swansea on the team performance. It was set at 66, and was the value bet, as with a Swansea win, , 2 goals, clean sheet and 3 corners you were in profit. Conceding a goal was cancelled out by the additional goals, so a big profit was there last night.

There's a couple of bets taking my fancy.
spreadex have set the time of the first Barca goal at 47-50. I'd be surprised if they didn't score in the first half here.
Also Bayern should win comfortably at home. Their first goal is set at 30-33, and I'd be surprised if they didn't score early on in this game.
I may just go for a fixed odds, Bayern to win & O2.5
Dunno,, I'll have a think!
