Re: PL 10 to follow Flat 2012 Competition - Final Table Up Now Great work for running this and well done to CPO. On Jay's score, Frankel has only been given 150 points, whereas everybody else has been given 225 points for Frankel.

Re: Antepost Flat Racing I have Harbour Watch as my only antepost for the flat season, and looks likely to be fit for the 2,000 Guineas. I have got the following from the Racing Post that was quoted recently:- Harbour Watch, a general 10-1 third-favourite for the Qipco 2,000 Guineas next May, is back to full health according to trainer Richard Hannon, who said he could return in the Greenham Stakes at Newbury in April. Hannon said: "We are very happy with Harbour Watch now because his x-rays were perfect so we are going on with him quietly. If he comes through and everything goes well he will probably go for the Greenham. "He is a very high-class horse and we are very happy that he's done particularly well. He looks a picture and is now sound as a bell of brass. The vet is very happy with him so everything is fine."

Re: Melbourne Cup Tue 1st Nov I saw a trends race for this race for 2009 and updated to include the two most recent races to show record for last 12 years:- - 12/12 - finished in first four in a group race that season, with 8/12 winning a group race that season - 11/12 - ran between 3 and 17 days ago (exception was Brew in 2000) - 12/12 - aged 4-7, with 7 out of last 9 aged 4 or 5 - 10/12 - ran in one of the follwing four races :- Caulfield Cup - Tullamore (3rd), Manighar (4th), Lucas Cranach(5th), Unusual Suspect (6th), Drunken Sailor (7th), Precedence (10th), Niwot(12th), Hawk Island(13th), Saptipaldi (14th). Geelong Cup - Dunaden (1st). Mackinnon Stakes - Glass Harmonium (1st), Mourayan (2nd), Precedence (9th), The Verminator (11th). Cox Plate - Glass Harmonium (10th *missed break), Shamrocker (12th). Other races of key note are the Lexus which Niwat won as Shocking won that race in 2009 and then went on to win the Melbourne Cup and the Drake International Stakes which Americain won, with Tullamore second and Illo third. Tullamore is now well weighted with the winner. - 7/12 were drawn down the middle - with stalls 11 and 14 the most frequent winners (Americain was stall 11 last year too). 9/12 - won zero or one race that season. One exception was Americain last year and Makybe Diva. - No front runner has won the race since 1997 so it is best to look for held up/mid division horses. - 11/12 - carried 7st 12 - 8st 11 - no horse other than Makybe Diva carried more. Only two horses fail this criteria at the top of the weights Americain and Jukebox Jury.

Re: Frankel's full-brother runs at Yarmouth on Tuesday I have been looking out for this horse too. It also has an entry on Wednesday at Nottingham. It was due to run early October, but that never materialised, but hopefully will run either of these days.

Re: England > Weekend > League 1 > 15-16 October
Bury weren't even in the same league as Orient last year and didn't play them in any of the cups so don't know where you are getting that 2-0 win from.I think Bury are value to get the 3 points away at Orient. Orient leak goals at a shocking rate due to having injuries to no less than 3 of their goalkeepers and the lad on loan from Spurs is only just coming back to fitness now. Bury were performing very well up until a couple of weeks ago but still sit comfortably above the O's in the league who themselves were rock bottom until a dramatic turn around in form about 2 weeks ago. Last season saw a win for Bury 2-0 in the same fixture and Orient have again been abysmal at home thus far this season. Bury look a massive price for me.
