I'm going to stick with my pre-tournament pick and pick RCB to win again, today. They look like they have Padikkal back and with ABDV, Kohli and Maxwell also in that line-up, I just feel like they have a potent batting line-up with a solid bowling mix. I think Hyderabad may have to look to Bairstow once more for the majority of their runs.
    5pts RCB to beat Hyderabad 4/5 bet365
1pt Bairstow top Hyderabad batsman 4/1 paddypower
1pt ABDV - Man Of The Match 8/1 paddypower

I think they will be an excellent team to oppose when playing against MI, RCB, SHR, DC.

I suppose the first couple of days is the most likely time that it fails as more matches and less quality but it's worth a few points at 12/1.
Selt won with ease in the end. Couple of big priced selections with chances today for the final Qualification day.

2 wins, yesterday. Judgement day today/tomorrow. Lots on the line and lots of bottling, I would have assumed. A few 50/50s that I like today but I'm going to limit the "feeling bets" to an accy and just go with the one. Selt to beat Donaldson. Selt looks bang in form right now and although Donaldson has a perfect record against him, I'm not sure we'll see a better time for Selt to play Scott.
Also, I'm going to stick a couple of points on a boosted bet with Paddy for the main competition (these Quallies don't count) and it's for a century in every match.
    5pts M.Selt to beat S.Donaldson 11/10 paddypower
1pt accy - Lu Ning, Haotian, Selt & Milkins 14/1 paddypower (money back if one loses)

2pts A Century to be scored in every match of the WC 12/1 paddypower

We had 25 winning bets this week, mostly small gains, however this week's top performers are stuboy43 with a nice 9/1 treble and Procalc who had faith in the mighty Leeds for an 11/1 return
11 players have doubled their starting bank so far
Will wait til Weds to take the new odds and hopefully any Saturday matches which need rearranging will have been rescheduled.

I am going to go with Hallworth again tomorrow. He has Jordan Brown in the morning. Hallworth looked calm and composed in and amongst the balls and I think if he can make use of a good start, he could come through that match. The other I like, is Ursenbacher to beat O'Donnell. Ursenbacher looked really good in his last round match against the impressive Kleckers.

The biggest thing that hurt RCB last IPL was the over reliance on Kohli and de Villiers. Paddikal had a great 1st season,  but Finch was a blowout. On Morris they spent a fortune and they got little in return.
The numbers for RCB in the middle overs just don't lie.
RCB boundary percentage in range overs 8-14 (7 overs in total), they ranked bottom in this category 5 times and 3rd worst 3 times.  Kohli and de Villers were digging them out of trouble, and regrouping too often. In the last IPL, from overs 6-14 RCB were in the bottom 3 teams for strike rate (9 overs or 45% of the game) in every over. You can't be champions with these numbers.
I think they have spent very well getting Glen Maxwell into the side. He gives them the middle over punch they were missing, and takes the pressure off Kohli and de Villiers.  He turns them into potential champions.
Also, I think that for a team like RCB, it is better to NOT have your two best batsman batting at the same time. Rather have Kohli controlling upfront and middle, Maxwell miiddle and end, and de Villiers floating as requiired, A guy like Rashid Khan loves bowling at two superstars at the same time. His bowling is then at it's most effective..

I feel like Xander was Matsuyamas main threat today and he really let himself down and bottled it. If he didn't make so many errors, I'm convinced his bottle would have went.

It was a strange final round in the end. After Matsuyama bogeyed the first and his lead was just one shot, it looked like it might go down to the wire. Not long after that though, and with the likes of Schauffele over par for the day and Matsuyama under, it looked like it was going to be a procession to the title for the Japanese. After that, and when it seemed all was lost and the pressure was off, players in the chasing pack started picking up shots. Schauffele in particular went on a run, getting three birdies in a row to get right back in it. When Matsuyama managed to go into the water at the back of the 15th which led to a bogey and Schauffele got his forth birdie in a row at the same hole, the lead was down to a couple of shots and it was game on.
I'd have to agree with @Fader about Schauffele in terms of what happened next. Playing first at the 16th, with all the momentum in his favour having just made a birdie and with Matsuyama on the ropes following the strange decision to go for the green at the last hole when the sensible play was to lay up and protect what was still a significant lead, he hit his tee shot short and into the drink. At that point, anything hit onto the green was going to put real pressure on Matsuyama, but by going into the water which almost guaranteed a bogey at best, Matsuyama was able to hit his shot with much less pressure. He found the green, albeit a long way from the hole, and that was Schauffele's challenge over. Matsuyama could even afford a bogey as Schauffele recorded a triple. It really did seem like, as he stood to hit his tee shot, Schauffele suddenly realised he was back in with a real chance of winning and he tightened up. He'd been picking up shots in previous holes when there was no pressure as he was so far behind, but when it came time to hit a pressure shot with him right back in it he made a total hash of it. In the end, Matsuyama just about fell over the line with a bogey at the last for a one-stroke victory, and that's when Schauffele's meltdown really showed itself for how decisive it was.
As for my bets, Cantlay was a total write-off - not sure what the issue was there but he should never have posted the total he did after two rounds. Morikawa and Hovland flitted around the middle of the leader board most of the time, whilst Rahm, Reed and obviously Schauffele landed in the place money - that wasn't any use to me as I only bet outright, but it did at least suggest that the players I backed were worth backing and with a bit more luck I might have hit a winner. If Schauffele hadn't found the water at 16 then maybe he would have been that winner - who knows - but then having said that he shouldn't really have been as close as he was at that point. Only Matsuyama will know what he was thinking going for the 15th green in two when he was so obviously feeling the pressure - that's the only explanation for shooting so far past it and into the water on the 16th hole - but in the end it didn't cost him and you'd have to say he was a deserved winner as he was the only player that was seriously in contention on the final day that shot a really low round during the tournament with his 65 on moving day.

No luck, lastnight. Final nights action until April 19th :
    Anderson Vs Clayton
    Wright Vs Cross
    MVG Vs Aspinall
    Wade Vs Durrant
Van Den Bergh Vs De Sousa
I feel like Clayton is seeing the finish line already and I do wonder if nerves will get to him, when it really matters. I suppose we'll see tonight, when he takes on Gary Anderson. Anderson isn't playing great, but it shows how good he is that he is still hitting averages in the late 90s. I would say Clayton would only need to step it up a few points to take this one. Wright has a good chance to get back into the top 4, when taking on Rob Cross. Cross is looking alot better, but still has the odd dodgy score in there and if Wright can improve his scoring, he should come through.
MVG was terrible last night. I think mentally, MVG looks to be had, recently. Wade has always done well against him, and MVG couldn't produce it. He will take on The Asp, who looks bang in-form again. De Sousa's scoring would have been hard to beat by anybody's standards. He can take solace in the fact that both 9-Darters in this Premier league have been against him.
The match of the night should be the final match. At least from a scoring perspective. De Sousa scored 11 180s lastnight and Van Den Bergh is hitting them at will, too. If De Sousa continues that scoring and continues to not have the ability to count, we're in for a treat.

    3pts N.Aspinall to beat MVG 10/3 bet365

Two I liked for tonight, but I think I'll only have a bet on the one. Jak Jones to beat Kurt Maflin. Mainly because Maflin hasn't had a whole lot of snooker. Despite using the Championship League as a "warm-up" to this, his scoring wasn't very good, apart from his match against Robertson. I would give Jak Jones a chance, tonight.

I'm surprised that paddy are boosting this because there is talk that Kohli is going to be opening for RCB and if that's the case, than 3/1 is quite a big price for a player who is favourite to be top batsman in the whole event.

Just looking in the outright market with abit of value and despite the price not being huge, I'll go with Kohli's men. They have the favourites today and so there may be a better price later but I want to get in, incase they pull off the upset. Any team with Kolhi, ABDV and Maxwell in it, in a T20 team, is going to be dangerous

Yeah, one to leave alone in future, I think. One for tonight, for me. Jamie O'Neill to beat Jamie Clarke. I watched alot of Clarke's last match and it was an absolute slog against a 15 year old. Boiko is a good prospect but he didn't play well atall and Clarke couldn't hit more than one 50 break. Aslong as the moment doesn't get in his head, then 6/4 on O'Neill looks big in the battle of the Jamie's.

I'm also going to take Higginson on the handicap against Sargeant. Another player that looked dodgy in his last match. That may be because he was playing a female but Sergeant's form has hardly been that great before, anyway. I like Higginson as a player and he scores well. I can't see him losing more than 3 frames.
