Interesting picks mate! @Fader has written his Fiorentina vs West Ham betting tips on the main site and made similar suggestions for the scorer markets. I'm personally backing Fiorentina to win on penalties. I wouldn't be surprised if it went all the way and I don't have it in me to risk jinxing Fader's West Ham boys by backing them! Both teams are 17/2 with Bet365 to win on penalties so no difference in price.

The RP side with West Ham, largely based on respective form in this competition, whilst acknowledging that Fiorentina had the much better end to the domestic season. Looking at how long it took each team to score their last 25 goals it’s 13 games for Fiorentina and 15 for West Ham. The Italians scored in 11 of those games and the Hammers in 13, with both seeing 9 games where btts landed. I’d rather back btts than try and pick the winner of the tie. Both bets close to a coin toss but I have a stronger view on the outcome of that market.

This event is shorter and to be honest, there isn't a huge amount of value in it. I'll take one from the top and one from the bottom.

The 3rd classic of the year is the Oaks, which is run at Epsom this Friday at 14.30. The race is for 3-year-old fillies and is run over 1 mile, 4 furlongs and 6 yards. It is the 2nd oldest of the classics, after the St Leger. It is named after The Oaks, an estate located to the east of Epsom.
 
I have looked at the statistics over the last 9 years and these are my key conclusions.
The key stat is fitness. Those horses that last ran less than 26 days ago have a record of 7 wins from 51 runs, recording a level stakes profit at BSP of 111 points. The remainder have just 1 win from 45 runs with a loss of 39 points.
It is helpful to be drawn low. Those drawn in the lowest 4 stalls have 5 wins from 31 runs with a profit of 114 points.
Horses that finished 1st last time have a poor record with 4 wins from 41 runs and a loss of 8 points.

There is not much each way value so I suggest backing these to win.
The only negative is that outsiders have a poor record so I recommend keeping stakes relatively small.
Andrew Balding, the trainer of SEA OF ROSES, won this 20 years ago with Casual Look in his 1st year of training, however the last 9 races have been won by either Aidan O’Brien or John Gosden.

Over the next couple of weeks, we have two Q-School events. Event 1 starts on Friday and runs through to the last day of May. Then Event 2 kicks off on June 1st and finishes on 6th June.  
There will be 8 tour cards up for grabs in these 2 events. The four semi-finalists will all get a card. The rest of the placings are made up for the best-performing players over those 2 events. i.e., frames won.

Took Clayton at 11/1 with Lads as posted pre-tournament. E/W terms now show 1x the odds to 1 place but I'm hoping that's based on the current market terms as it was definitely 1/2 the odds 2 places at the outset!
Hills doing a fiver matched bet. Played Smith to win at 5/2 and to beat MVG, hit most 180s and have highest checkout at 7/2.

I've gone with couple that did well last week so :

I'm effectively on Clayton to beat Price at 5/1 here so I will leave that match alone but I will take Smith to beat MVG and hit the most 180s in the match, also. MVG had injury concerns last week and withdrew to allow Van Den Bergh to go on and win the night. He then didn't look too great in the Players Championship events. Meanwhile, Clayton won one of those events, which bodes well for pre-tournament backers.
I feel like Smith wins this evetn as of right now but hopefully Clayton can atleast make another Premier League final.
