  1. Re: Southwell - Tuesday 1st April just watched 1st race from southwell, and interesting to hear jason weaver going on about a strong tail wind, and how this was positively affecting the times. this may affect the way the races pan out today, i am sure i can remember something from a while ago that at this course more front runners or horses that ran close to the pace were winning in strong winds??? anyone remember that?? be interesting to see how next couple of races work out, maybe an edge against the layers to be had. (thats if i can get the races on our lass is watching bleeding 60 minute makeover :)) tish

    Event3.50 Sandown
    SelectionWistow (BOG) (Each-Way)
    Strength2/10
    Date08/03/2008
    Bookmaker/PriceStan James @ 41.00 (Back)
ReasoningThe horse went firmly in the notebook last time when heavily backed' date= then runing very green and only getting the hang of things late on. He is clearly well thought of and steps up into Listed Class today. Although this looks steep, he gets in off a great weight and Timmy Murphy is perfect for holding horses up.
ditto, got some 70's last night on betfair, and some 50's early doors at coral. see how far back from it comes on the replay on attheraces. must be better value than backing the fav at a shade of odds on, but a big question in this grade. i know for a fact the sly stable like a punt;) lets see if they come for it...14 into 7's last time, ive backed worse 50/1 shots:lol:lol:lol tish
  3. Re: Jumps Season 07/08 - Notebook & Ante Post Bets

one in my notebook from last week: wistow trained by pam sly. price got hammered 1st time out in a bumper, ran green, penny dropped with 3 furlongs to go in a 2mile class4 contest. ran on really well and should win next time out. tish
wistow running today 350 sandown well when i said should win next time out, i wasn't aware she would be running in a class 1 bumper:rollin:rollin:rollin:rollin:rollin be interesting to see how she performs today, with such a green run lto. as it says in the sun today...."7/1 when not disgraced on debut, should strip sharper now, e/w shot" good performance by ravello bay to take that race, and from all accounts highly thought of by nicky henderson. i cant back that one at evs though, and will be having a tenner each way on wistow at 50/1(coral), to go with my 70's on betfair:lol and yes.....i am mad:unsure 66/1 shot won this race in 2004!!!!!! tish
  4. Re: Carlisle - 6/3/08

Carlisle 15:45 - Super Road Train E/W NAP (Currently 7/1) I tipped this horse when it was a non runner a few days ago. It's a very decent horse, drops in class from 2 to 4, but has proven form over C&D, and it wont have problems with ground. It's a decent race overall, but it as a very useful claimer on board taking 7lbs off him. I reckon it can go close and has every chance.
great tip bigs i was on:ok:notworthy
  5. Re: Wincanton - 6/3/08

325 rudivale price knocked over last time out, connections were expecting a win over this course and distance. seems to enjoy big field races here at wincanton, looks a banker for a place at a current best price 12/1 at betfred. tish
    3rd:ok

  7. Re: Lingfield - 6/3/08 day off work today:clap, had a look through for some value bets:ok my eye was drawn to the 1710 22 runner 2m handicap hurdle. must be some value to be had here... well it is another quality! class 5 contest, where the favourite has been reassessed after bobbing in last time at 50/1!!. i'm looking to oppose this one each way, and think i have found some value to be had with breezer, currently 33/1 bog on bet365. now bear with me on this one but! this horse has not done much on its last few runs, coming back from a break of 9 months lto, which again was 2 months ago. this horse has winning distance and class form on good going, and does not seem to act on going softer than good. also back down to a mark of 71 which it has won off before. horse seems to save his best performances for 16f which it is back to today. so it could be said that breezer is back to his prefered trip, has ground to suit, is down a mark it has won off before. bit concerned about the 2 month break, but ive had a little bit each way at 33's. tish

  8. Re: wolves evening 05/03/08

ey up lads looking around for an each way value bet tonight at wolves. think i have found one in the 850, a quality class 7 classified stakes with high five society being as short as 13/8 fav with 12 going to post. there has been support for the fav on the last 6 occasions it has run, to no avail, on both turf and at wolves where it has run in class 7 races the last 3 outings. traditionally these races are won by horses dropping down a grade, as has been seen recently with bahr mirage racking up a quick hat trick in this company. i have looked through for a similar profile horse and have found one in cd winner keon. mainly campaigned in class 6 races, the last time it was downed to class 7, it racked up 2 wins from 3 runs. this is the latest drop to class 7, and a mark of 45. keon has won over cd off 50 in the not too distant past. reg hollinshead had a winner yesterday, and looks like he is coming back into form. so proven on the course, distance, grade...sounds like an each way value bet at 10/1 bog on bet365(11's if you use william hills) i'm on each way, best of luck tish
    10/1 2nd, profit is profit:ok

  10. Re: bangor sunday 2nd march sorry about our brian lads, just got back from newcastle and seen the race. great tipping for the winner jonesy by the way:clap. went off fairly heavily backed at 5's, never really threatened.:sad i knew the money was coming 4 it, but the horse wasnt good enough in class 5 company:wall tish

  11. ey up lads don't get me wrong, this info not from my usual reliable source...but i've heard a whisper for one in the bumper at bangor.... 1700 our brian the guy i heard it off is a bit of a d1ckhead, but has give me some pretty good info before, especially eminating from the stables around malton. betfred have an early 20's, and i wont be about all day, so backing it and posting it early doors. the advice is e/w... just passing on what i have heard:ok tish
