  1. Whitecaps +0.25 @ 2.28(pinnacle)

Montreal Impact got lucky for the past 2 weeks, coming back from 3-0 down to draw 3-3 against Philly and then scored a deflected goal in the last min to beat Atlanta United. Will they still need Lady Luck this week? I'm certainly not very impressed with them so far. While Whitecaps is also consistent but I think they can cause problems for Impact defence(no clean sheet so far) and get something out of this game.

    Sporting KC -1 @ 2.15(marathonbet)

SKC lost their unbeaten record to FC Dallas last week but that doesn't suddenly make them a bad team. As for RSL, Mike Petke also suffered his 1st loss as RSL manager. They have alot of injuries to deal with especially in defence. 1st choice gk Nick Rimando and another defender Chris Wingert added to the injury list this week so that makes their defence even weaker. RSL attack isn't the best and the piling injuries to their defensive players, I like SKC to get back to winning ways here.

  2. Toronto -1 @ 2.08(pinnacle)

Giovinco seems to have found his groove with the 2 goals he scored last week. Houston Dynamo maybe 'flying' but this is another team who have played more home games(5, 4 won and 1 draw) than road games(2, 2 losses). I like Toronto to continue what they did last week and get their 2nd straight home win.

  3. Sydney -1 @ 1.67(sbobet)

Last week, I predicted that Perth Glory will cause an upset but the grand finals will be a step too far for them. Sydney is just too good a team. They are likely to test the Perth Glory weak defence more than City and will also keep a closer eye on Diego Castro. In the regular season, Sydney beat Perth 3 times and each time by a 3 goals margin, that's how dominant they are. I can't really see how things could change in this 4th meeting.

  4. LA Galaxy would have been my best pick of this week with their odds. But after that thrashing by Sounders last week, that changed my mind. There seems to be something very wrong with them at the moment. From Bruce Arena to Curt Onalfo, that's like Alex Ferguson handing the reigns to Ryan Giggs as manager. They certainly have the quality and talent to beat Philly but it's pretty hard to be really confident given the state of things now.

  5. Napoli DNB should be a good play. Inter is just terrible at the moment. According to reports, Stefano Pioli even offered to resign immediately after the defeat to Fiorentina last week. He felt that he has lost the dressing room. The board backed him though but I feel it's more of a vote of confidence. Another 1-2 defeats and they will sack him.

  6. Perth Glory DNB @ 3.1(pinnacle)

I suggest a smaller stake for this play since it's a high odds play. Melbourne City form has been really inconsistent this season. Despite all the big name signings like Cahill, Fernando Brandan and Nicolas Colazo, their league performance is worst than last season. They have scored fewer goals(only 49 compared to 63 last season) and 5 points fewer this season. They haven't beaten any of the top 6 teams since a 1-0 win over Western Sydney in January. Another interesting stat is they only beaten a top 6 team twice in the whole of this season. For a team like City, it's really disappointing.

In the 3 meetings against Perth Glory, City has failed to stop Spanish maestro Diego Castro. If he can continue to torment them, I believe they can pull off an upset here despite their horrible defence.

  7. Toronto @ 1.64(marathonbet)

After a seemingly good start, Toronto has been winless for the past 3 games. Fire may have improved this season but whether they can translated this good form onto the road remains to be seen. Afterall, they played 4 home games which could explain their position in the league now. This is Toronto 3rd home game and if they still fail to win it, they will be worse than Philly.

    Houston Dynamo @ 2.03(pinnacle)

It's a short turnaround for Earthquakes(played Revolution today) and Dynamo will be desperate to make amends after giving up 2 goals to Minnesota last week. Earthquakes is also just an awful away team so anything other than a win will be a poor result for Dynamo.

  8. It's because we are in the finals and last 5 games of the season. A-league adopts a playoffs style system. The top 6 qualify for the finals. Top 2 gets a bye for this round so it's 3rd v 6th and 4th v 5th this week. Lowest ranked team will then play Sydney while the highest ranked team will play Victory in the semi-finals.

These 2 games are really hard to call imo. I will based my play on how I feel about the teams over the course of the season.

In the 1st game, I will go with Brisbane DNB @ 1.67(pinnacle). I feel that they have the better all round team. They have only lost 2 games at Suncorp this season so with this game being played there, it's another advantage for them. They should also be more determined to make things right after last season disaster. They lead 3-0 after 23 minutes against the very same team in the semi-finals before losing the game 4-3 in extra time. Ouch!!!

As for the 2nd game, I'm still thinking. Leaning to Perth Glory for now.

what the hell happened here. Price never drifted, in fact it came in and atletico nacional won very easily 2:0

just interested whether that article was genuine or not.

Someone in another forum said he is trying to get people to bet on Envigado so that he can trade his position. He also posted this in the Premier league board. :unsure

  10. Arsenal -1 @ 2

I think Arsenal will bounce back today. Middlesbrough is just a horrible team. Their 6th best defensive record in the league is kinda of deceiving considering they are playing not to lose rather than to win in most of their games. They are always only hoping for a moment of magic to win their games. Now that they need to win games, they will need to open up and their defensive record will tumble as a result of that.

Arsenal maybe struggling now but they have beaten the rather poor teams like Sunderland, Hull and Swansea this season.

    Sydney as winner 1.91(bet365)

    https://www.oddschecker.com/football/world/australia/a-league/winner

Not sure why the odds is still so attractive. They have already proven they are the best team in the league by winning the the premiers(regular season) by 17 points. They have best attack with 55 goals scored and defence with only 12 goals conceded. They are a well-drilled team and look extremely motivated. I will be surprised if they don't win the Grand Finals as well.

  12. NYC DNB @ 2.36(marathonbet)

Philly is a complete dumpster fire. They are winless in their last 13 games, a streak which was extended from last season. Coach Jim Curtin has look clueless so far and probably thanking his lucky stars that he still has a job now because of Philly good start last season. According to his match press conference, he is going with the same tactic and probably also the same personal and just hope for footballing gods to have some mercy on them. Even with this 3 home games stretch, I won't be surprised to see them getting 0 points.

  13. Most teams have nothing important to play for. If you don't mind the low odds, can go for a Melbourne Victory -1 and Sydney -1 double at 1.79(bet365). Jets have already given up so I doubt they will put up a strong fight and Victory should have too much for CCM. The semi-finals will be played 2 weeks after this weekend so both Victory and Sydney should field their strongest XI barring any injuries.

With the match against Chelsea on sunday it would be foolish not to rest some key players. Maybe a draw? :ok

I doubt they will rest players. Winning the EL guarantees them a CL group stage spot. If they wanted to qualify through the league, they would have given up on the EL long ago. Their inconsistent league form doesn't make things easier for them.
