  1. Re: Australia » Hyundai A-League » 10-15 April

Matchday 26 Wellington Phoenix -0.5 @ 1.62 With 2 games remaining, it's unlikely Wellington will get 1st spot but 2nd spot is still up for grabs. They are winless and scoreless in the last 3 games. This game would appear to present the perfect opportunity to change all that. CCM is the only team in the league that is without an away win, drawing 6 and losing 6, scoring only 10 and conceding an average of 2 goals. With no pressure, I don't expect them to be defensive and that should play into Wellington hands. Their more potent attacking prowess should see them get back to winning ways.
OMG...0-2 down at half time but won it 3-2 with the last kick of the game. :loon
  2. Re: Chelsea v Manchester United > Saturday April 18th With games running out for their rivals, I think Chelsea will be more than happy with getting 2 points from the next 2 games(Man Utd and Arsenal). While they gain 1, they are making their rivals lose 2. Imo, 80 points should be enough for the title. Mourinho is likely to adopt a more park a bus tactic to do this. I'm leaning on the under 2.5 goals for now.

  4. Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday April 16th Sevilla -0.5 @ 1.65 Zenit will be missing 5 1st team players in Domenico Criscito, Igor Smolnikov, Danny and Russian Premier League top scorer Hulk. Faizulin could also be missing because of injury. On the other side, you have Sevilla who has a excellent home record. They have yet to lose at home this season. Only Beto is a doubt. Given the circumstances, it's pretty hard not to back Sevilla here.

  5. Re: Australia » Hyundai A-League » 10-15 April Wellington Phoenix -0.5 @ 4 Wellington Phoenix is undefeated against Melbourne City in the last 9 games, winning 5 and drawing 4. They will have midfield enforcer Albert Riera back. Imo, he is 1 of their unsung hero as he gives the midfield alot of protection. Melbourne City could be abit complacent given that they have already seal a playoffs spot after Perth Glory disqualification. With the kind of generous odds that was offered, I'm willing to play a small play on a outright Wellington Phoenix win.

  6. Re: West Bromwich Albion v Leicester City > Saturday April 11th WBA -0.5 @ 2.3 Even though WBA is 7 points ahead of the last relegation spot, I believe they still need at least 3-5 points from their remaining games to be safe. Considering that they have to play the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea in their 2 remaining home games and also Man Utd and Arsenal away, this is surely a must win game for them. The stadium should be very loud tomorrow as they pay tribute to 1 of their own legend Jeff Astle. As for Leicester, I'm not too convinced about them. There is no doubt they work hard but they are short on quality Trival Tony Pulis has not lost three successive Premier League games since April 2013 when he was at Stoke.

  7. Re: Sunderland v Newcastle United > Sunday April 5th Sunderland -0.5 @ 2.6 The international break couldn't have come at a better time for Dick Advocaat and Sunderland. It has given him extra time to know his players better and also the players to understand what the new manager wants. Captain Lee Cattermore will be back. He's the player who makes Sunderland tick both on and off the pitch. Newcastle recent records in the derby has been rather awful. This could probably be in the minds of the Newcastle players. They come into this game missing key defensive players like Coloccini, Haidara, Taylor and Tiote. In attack, they will miss top scorer Cisse. Trival Advocaat's two immediate predecessors, Gus Poyet and Paolo Di Canio, also faced Newcastle during their second matches at the helm, both securing slightly unexpected victories.

  8. Re: Liverpool v Manchester United > Sunday March 22nd Since the Premier League began in 1995, in 31 meetings, there have been only 2 draws between the teams. I will have to stick my head out and say Liverpool to win this game. Both teams will go for the win, especially Liverpool, to avenge the 0-3 defeat earlier this season. They are also the more consistent team since Rogers changed to a back 3 formation.

  9. Re: AS Monaco v Arsenal > Tuesday March 17th Arsenal ML I think there is value in betting in Arsenal to win. For some strange reason, when they screw up their 1st leg, they tend to amends in the 2nd leg. They will always fall abit short though. I won't be too surprised if they win 2-0 and fall short again. Actually, the Arsenal to qualify odds at $7 seems tempting too. Maybe they will finally overcome their 1st leg deficit?

  10. Re: Burnley v Manchester City > Saturday March 14th Man City -1 @ 1.75 1) The Clarets have scored just 13 goals in 14 Premier League home games this season. 2) No home team has stopped Manchester City from scoring in their last 20 Premier League away matches. 3) In their 11 wins against bottom half teams, Man City has won 8 of them by at least 2 goals. Only one of their six away wins in that category (the 1-0 at Leicester in December) was not achieved by at least two goals. 4) Four of Burnley's six defeats by big-six teams were by two goals or more.

  11. Re: Chelsea v Paris Saint-Germain > Wednesday March 11th Chelsea -0.5 Chelsea surely have to score at least once just to be on the safe side. They may have the away goal but to just defend that single goal is suicidal. I won't be too surprised to see an open game at the start considering a single goal won't change things too much for either side. In cup competitions, I will have to go with Mourinho side to win this game. Like the LC finals against Spurs, they will probably allow PSG to come at them but will pick them off with their counter and the limited chances that they create. Chelsea also receive a big boost with Matic being available to play after an injury scare.

  12. Re: Capital One Cup Final > Chelsea v Tottenham > Sunday March 1st Under 2.5 goals at $2.1 After that crazy high scoring league game in Jan which saw Spurs came out 5-3 winners, I expected this game to be more subdued. Mourinho have already learn how deadly Spurs counter attack could be. On the other hand, Pochettino will also know it's unlikely his side won't be so lucky to concede 3 goals against Chelsea and yet still win the game. Both teams will probably focus abit more on their defence this time so I expect a low scoring affair here.

  13. Re: Manchester City v FC Barcelona > Tuesday February 24th

if this game is without at least 4 goals at the end of ninety minutes i will be disappointed. i expect to see some goals from the best forward players in the world. neither side is great defensively so 3' date='4,5 goal could bring in profit[/quote'] Last season meetings only ended with only 2 goals and 3 goals in 1st and 2nd leg respectively.
  14. Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday February 19th Villarreal 1x2 @ 1.6 and -1 @ 2 Villarreal rested their key players(Cheryshev and Vietto) in the defeat to Rayo last weekend so I expect them to be fresh for this game. Red Bull Salzburg has sold 2 of their key players in the Jan transfer window, Kamp to Dortmund and Alan to Guangzhou. Both combined for 35 goals this season for Salzburg in all competitions. While top scorer Jonathan Soriano is still with them but I think Villarreal quality should see them win this game.

  15. Re: Paris Saint-Germain v Chelsea > Tuesday February 17th Under 2.5 goals @ 1.72 After last year meeting, both teams should be abit more cautious now. Chelsea will not want to lose by 2 goals again(only scored in the 87th in the 2nd leg last year) while PSG have probably already learn the importance of not conceding an away goal. Imo, PSG will be at slight advantage even if this ends 0-0. They will just need a goal in the 2nd leg and Chelsea will need to respond with 2 in 1 game.
