  1. Melbourne Victory -0.5

Melbourne Victory certainly were made to work hard for their win last week. Down 2-0 in the first half, they fought back and won the game 3-2 with goals from Besart Berisha, a Goran Paracki own goal and then a winner from James Troisi.

Adelaide United has been hit by injuries in recent weeks and because of that their results have been inconsistent. After losing to Sydney FC last week, they have now lost 4 out of their last 6 games. Coach Marco Kurz will welcome some key players back like fullbacks Michael Marrone and Ben Garuccio today but influential Danish winger Johan Absalonson will still be out.

For a team of Melbourne Victory stature, their results so far have been pretty poor. Last week comeback win could the catalyst to finally help Melbourne Victory kick off their season. They are still winless at home this season but they will fancy their chances against Adelaide who is still finding their creativity in front of goal without the injured Absalonson and Karim Matmour who departed this week because of personal reasons.

  2. Melbourne City -1

Perth Glory has an injury crisis now. Diego Castro, Adam Taggart, Andreu and Scott Neville are all injured, joining the likes of Marc Warren on the treatment table. Melbourne City were let down by some terrible goalkeeping by Galekovic as they lost 3-1 to Brisbane Roar last week. I expect them to bounce back against an injuries hit Perth Glory side.

  3. CCM DNB

Early game today. Anyway, I'm going with the Mariners DNB. They have been improving (got a very impressive win over Sydney FC last week) since their first loss in the derby to the Newcastle Jets. Adelaide still have alot of injury problems. Defender Ersan Gulum will return though. They also have a FFA Cup finals against Sydney FC next Tues so the players mind may not be as focused.

  4. Brisbane Roar +0.5 @ 2.2 and DNB @ 3.46

I'm not sure why Victory will be such huge favourites here. They have Besart Berisha back but will be without Mark Milligan as he will be with the Australian national team. They produced a gusty performance on Monday but this team still lacks quality without their international players. Roar may not be doing well too but I feel that they can get something here. I'm going to split my bet between +0.5 and DNB option hoping that they will win the game.

  5. Perth Glory -0.5

The Reds squad will once again be depleted as six starters (Regan, Gulum, Lia, Diawara, Absalonsen and Elrich) are all ruled out. Perth Glory had a rough start but they played three of their first four games away. They are usually strong at Perth and I fancy their chances at getting three points against an injury plagued Adelaide United.

    Brisbane Roar -0.5

Despite going down 3-0 last week, Brisbane Roar produced a stunning comeback against the Phoenix :@:@:@ to get a draw. Ben Khalfallah rolled back the years and produced one of the best performance in recent times. CCM will be disappointed that they didn't beat Victory thanks to them hitting the post twice. Even with that, I think CCM is still one of the weaker team in the competition. If Roar can build on last week performance, they should get their first win of the season.

    WSW DNB

Things certainly won't be easier for Victory. No Barbarouses and Troisi because of international duty while Berisha is still suspended. Replacements like Mitch Austin and Jai Ingham are just not very good. WSW will only be without Josh Risdon. They have played ok in the last few games but failed to get maximum points. They will like their chances to get a rare win at Melbourne.

  6. Melbourne City +0.5

Both sides met as recently as September in the FFA Cup where Sydney came out as victors with a 3-1 scoreline. This time round, Melbourne City seems to be confident. Their defence has been really tight so far as they only conceded a goal and has kept three clean sheets in four games. Sydney is probably still the competition strongest side but I don't think they are as dominating as last season. With Melbourne resolute defence, I feel they should be able to get at least a point from the hands of Premiers Plate winner Sydney FC.
