    web scraping RP for dummies

    I ve noticed a lot of you dont venture far from the racing forum paddock ;) As you cannot use a web query to get data from RP and cut and paste looks shite and takes an age to format Ive just posted a simple way to scrape websites so you can do whatever with the data HERE *TIP* format all the csv file as txt before loading into excel. Cell A1 Data tab Get external data from text chose file DataMiner.csv (or whatever its number DataMiner(1).csv etc ,this opens text import wizard) step 1 click next step 2 tick comma step 3 highlight each column (turns black) and click text,do this for all columns click finish. example from todays RP 7.40 Wolves 2qlc1td.jpg Once in excel format as you need ;)

    Re: Australian Dream Racing System Software Request Navilus2014 I got the program in 2001 of a guy whose username was Dolus I think, you could download it from his website for free which is unfortunately now defunct. There maybe some light at the end of the tunnel though,there is a Dolus still posting on another forum (dont know if I am allowed to name it). You could try it and maybe strike lucky if its the same guy. :hope A commercial version was sold by Topform Gold I believe,but yet again I think these are also defunct. :\ Unfortunately I no longer have the programme, it is long gone with one of my old computers :\ Good luck with your search :hope
